2 Timothée 4
1 Je te somme devant Dieu, et devant le Seigneur Jésus-Christ, qui doit juger les vivants et les morts, en son apparition et en son règne.
I solemnly charge yoʋ therefore in the presence of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead when he appears with his kingdom:
2 Prêche la parole, insiste dans toutes les occasions; reprends, censure, exhorte avec toute douceur d'esprit, et avec doctrine.
Preach the word, be prepared whether the time is favorable or not, reprove, rebuke, and encourage, with complete patience and careful instruction.
3 Car le temps viendra auquel ils ne souffriront point la saine doctrine, mais aimant qu'on leur chatouille les oreilles, [par des discours agréables] ils chercheront des Docteurs qui répondent à leurs désirs.
For a time is coming when people will not tolerate sound doctrine, but having itching ears they will surround themselves with teachers to suit their own desires.
4 Et ils détourneront leurs oreilles de la vérité, et se tourneront aux fables.
They will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to myths.
5 Mais toi, veille en toutes choses, souffre les afflictions, fais l'œuvre d'un Evangéliste, rends ton Ministère pleinement approuvé.
But as for yoʋ, be sober-minded in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill yoʋr ministry.
6 Car pour moi, je m'en vais maintenant être mis pour l'aspersion du sacrifice, et le temps de mon départ est proche.
For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 J'ai combattu le bon combat, j'ai achevé la course, j'ai gardé la foi.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
8 Au reste, la couronne de justice m'est réservée, et le Seigneur, juste juge, me la rendra en cette journée-là, et non seulement à moi, mais aussi à tous ceux qui auront aimé son apparition.
There is now laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
9 Hâte-toi de venir bientôt vers moi.
Make every effort to come to me soon.
10 Car Démas m'a abandonné, ayant aimé le présent siècle, et il s'en est allé à Thessalonique; Crescens est allé en Galatie; [et] Tite en Dalmatie. (aiōn g165)
For Demas, who is in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)
11 Luc est seul avec moi; prends Marc, et amène-le avec toi: car il m'est fort utile pour le Ministère.
Luke alone is with me. Get Mark and bring him with yoʋ, for he is useful to me for ministry.
12 J'ai aussi envoyé Tychique à Ephèse.
Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
13 Quand tu viendras apporte avec toi le manteau que j'ai laissé à Troas, chez Carpus, et les Livres aussi; mais principalement mes parchemins.
When yoʋ come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus in Troas, as well as my scrolls, especially the parchments.
14 Alexandre le forgeron m'a fait beaucoup de maux, le Seigneur lui rendra selon ses œuvres.
Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm. May the Lord repay him according to his works.
15 Garde-toi donc de lui, car il s'est fort opposé à nos paroles.
Yoʋ yoʋrself should be on guard against him, for he has vehemently opposed our message.
16 Personne ne m'a assisté dans ma première défense, mais tous m'ont abandonné; [toutefois] que cela ne leur soit point imputé!
At my first defense no one came to stand by me; instead, they all deserted me. May it not be counted against them.
17 Mais le Seigneur m'a assisté, et fortifié, afin que ma prédication fût rendue pleinement approuvée, et que tous les Gentils l'ouïssent; et j'ai été délivré de la gueule du Lion.
But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might be fully made and all the Gentiles might hear. And I was rescued from the lion's mouth.
18 Le Seigneur aussi me délivrera de toute mauvaise œuvre, et me sauvera dans son Royaume céleste. A lui [soit] gloire aux siècles des siècles, Amen! (aiōn g165)
And the Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and preserve me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
19 Salue Prisce et Aquilas, et la famille d'Onésiphore.
Greet Prisca and Aquila and the household of Onesiphorus.
20 Eraste est demeuré à Corinthe, et j'ai laissé Trophime malade à Milet.
Erastus stayed in Corinth, and Trophimus, who was sick, I left in Miletus.
21 Hâte-toi de venir avant l'hiver. Eubulus et Pudens, et Linus, et Claudia, et tous les frères, te saluent.
Make every effort to come before winter. Eubulus greets yoʋ, and so do Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers.
22 Le Seigneur Jésus-Christ soit avec ton esprit. Que la grâce soit avec vous, Amen!
The Lord Jesus Christ be with yoʋr spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
