2 Chroniques 26
1 Alors tout le peuple de Juda prit Hozias, qui était âgé de seize ans, et ils l'établirent Roi en la place d'Amatsia son père.
And they took all [the] people of Judah Uzziah and he [was] a son of six-teen year[s] and they made king him in place of father his Amaziah.
2 Il bâtit Eloth, l'ayant remise en la puissance de Juda, après que le Roi se fut endormi avec ses pères.
He he built Elath and he restored it to Judah after lay down the king with ancestors his.
3 Hozias [était] âgé de seize ans quand il commença à régner, et régna cinquante-deux ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère avait nom Jécolia, [et] elle était de Jérusalem.
[was] a son of Six-teen year[s] Uzziah when became king he and fifty and two year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his ([was] Jecholiah *Q(K)*) from Jerusalem.
4 Il fit ce qui est droit devant l'Eternel, comme avait fait Amatsia son père.
And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done Amaziah father his.
5 Il s'appliqua à rechercher Dieu pendant les jours de Zacharie, [homme] intelligent dans les visions de Dieu; et pendant les jours qu'il rechercha l'Eternel, Dieu le fit prospérer.
And he was to seek God in [the] days of Zechariah who was skilled in [the] seeing of God and in [the] days of seeking he Yahweh he made prosper him God.
6 Car il sortit et fit la guerre contre les Philistins, et fit brèche à la muraille de Gath, et à la muraille de Jabné, et à la muraille d'Asdod; et il bâtit des villes [dans le pays] d'Asdod, et entre les [autres] Philistins.
And he went out and he fought against the Philistines and he made a breach in [the] wall of Gath and [the] wall of Jabneh and [the] wall of Ashdod and he built cities in Ashdod and among the Philistines.
7 Et Dieu lui donna du secours contre les Philistins, et contre les Arabes qui habitaient à Gur-bahal, et contre les Méhunites.
And he helped him God on [the] Philistines and on (the Arabs *Q(k)*) who were dwelling in Gur Baal and the Meunites.
8 Et même les Hammonites donnaient des présents à Hozias; de sorte que sa réputation se répandit jusqu'à l'entrée d'Egypte; car il s'était rendu fort puissant.
And they paid the Ammonites tribute to Uzziah and it went name his till to [the] entrance of Egypt for he displayed strength to upwards.
9 Et Hozias bâtit des tours à Jérusalem, sur la porte du coin, et sur la porte de la vallée, et sur l'encoignure, et les fortifia.
And he built Uzziah towers in Jerusalem at [the] gate of the corner and at [the] gate of the valley and at the buttress and he made strong them.
10 Il bâtit aussi des tours au désert, et creusa plusieurs puits, parce qu'il avait beaucoup de bétail dans la plaine et dans la campagne; et des laboureurs et des vignerons dans les montagnes, et en Carmel; car il aimait l'agriculture.
And he built towers in the wilderness and he dug wells many for livestock much it belonged to him and in the Shephelah and in the plain farmers and vinedressers in the mountains and in the orchards for loving [the] ground he was.
11 Et Hozias avait une armée composée de gens dressés à la guerre, qui marchaient en bataille par bandes, selon le compte de leur dénombrement, fait par Jéhiël scribe, et Mahaséja prévôt, sous la conduite de Hanania, l'un des principaux capitaines du Roi.
And it belonged to Uzziah an army doing battle [those who] go forth of war to troop[s] by [the] number of muster their by [the] hand of (Jeiel *Q(K)*) the scribe and Maaseiah the official on [the] hand of Hananiah one of [the] officials of the king.
12 Tout le nombre des Chefs des pères, d'entre ceux qui étaient forts et vaillants, était de deux mille et six cents.
All [the] number of [the] heads of the fathers of mighty [men] of strength two thousand and six hundred.
13 Et il y avait sous leur conduite une armée de trois cent sept mille et cinq cents combattants, tous gens aguerris, forts et vaillants, pour aider le Roi contre l'ennemi.
And [was] on hand their an army of war three hundred thousand and seven thousand and five hundred doers of battle with power of strength to help the king on the enemy.
14 Et Hozias leur prépara, [savoir] à toute cette armée-là, des boucliers, des javelines, des casques, des cuirasses, des arcs, et des pierres de fronde.
And he prepared for them Uzziah for all the army shields and spears and helmets and body armor and bows and stones of slings.
15 Et il fit à Jérusalem des machines de l'invention d'un ingénieur, afin qu'elles fussent sur les tours, et sur les coins, pour jeter des flèches, et de grosses pierres. Ainsi sa réputation alla fort loin; car il fut extrêmement aidé jusqu'à ce qu'il fût devenu fort puissant.
And he made - in Jerusalem war engines of invention of an inventor to be on the towers and on the corners to shoot with arrows and with stones large and it went out name his to from a distance for he made wonderful to be helped until for he was strong.
16 Mais sitôt qu'il fut devenu fort puissant, son cœur s'éleva pour sa perte, et il commit un [grand] péché contre l'Eternel son Dieu; car il entra dans le Temple de l'Eternel pour faire le parfum sur l'autel des parfums.
And according to strengthening his it was haughty heart his until behaved corruptly and he acted unfaithfully against Yahweh God his and he went into [the] temple of Yahweh to make smoke on [the] altar of incense.
17 Mais Hazaria le Sacrificateur [y] entra après lui, accompagné des Sacrificateurs de l'Eternel, au nombre de quatre-vingts vaillants hommes;
And he went after him Azariah the priest and [were] with him priests - of Yahweh eighty sons of strength.
18 Qui s'opposèrent au Roi Hozias, et lui dirent: Hozias! il ne t'appartient pas de faire le parfum à l'Eternel; car cela appartient aux Sacrificateurs, fils d'Aaron, qui sont consacrés pour faire le parfum. Sors du Sanctuaire, car tu as péché; et ceci ne te sera point honorable de la part de l'Eternel Dieu.
And they took their stand on Uzziah the king and they said to him not [belongs] to you O Uzziah to make smoke to Yahweh for to the priests [the] descendants of Aaron who are consecrated to make smoke go out from the sanctuary for you have acted unfaithfully and not of you for honor from Yahweh God.
19 Alors Hozias, qui avait en sa main le parfum pour faire des encensements, se mit en colère; et comme il s'irritait contre les Sacrificateurs, la lèpre s'éleva sur [son] front, en la présence des Sacrificateurs, dans la maison de l'Eternel, près de l'autel des parfums.
And he was enraged Uzziah and [was] in hand his a censer to make smoke and when enraging he with the priests and skin disease it arose on forehead his before the priests in [the] house of Yahweh from on to [the] altar of incense.
20 Alors Hazaria le principal Sacrificateur le regarda avec tous les sacrificateurs, et voilà, il était lépreux en son front, et ils le firent incessamment sortir; et il se hâta de sortir, parce que l'Eternel l'avait frappé.
And he turned to him Azariah [the] priest of the head and all the priests and there! he [was] leprous on forehead his and they hastened him from there and also he he hurried himself to go out for he had struck him Yahweh.
21 Et ainsi le Roi Hozias fut lépreux, jusqu'au jour qu'il mourut; et il demeura lépreux dans une maison écartée; même il fut retranché de la maison de l'Eternel, et Jotham son fils avait la charge de la maison du Roi, jugeant le peuple du pays.
And he was Uzziah the king leprous - until [the] day of death his and he dwelt [the] house of (separateness *Q(k)*) leprous for he was cut off from [the] house of Yahweh and Jotham son his [was] over [the] house of the king judging [the] people of the land.
22 Or Esaïe fils d'Amots, Prophète, a écrit le reste des faits d'Hozias, tant les premiers que les derniers.
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Uzziah former and latter he has written Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet.
23 Et Hozias s'endormit avec ses pères, et fut enseveli avec eux dans le champ des sépulcres des Rois; car, ils dirent, il est lépreux; et Jotham son fils régna en sa place.
And he lay down Uzziah with ancestors his and people buried him with ancestors his in [the] field of grave which [belonged] to the kings for they said [was] leprous he and he became king Jotham son his in place of him.
