2 Chroniques 11
1 Roboam donc s'en vint à Jérusalem, et assembla la maison de Juda, et celle de Benjamin, qui furent cent quatre-vingt mille hommes d'élite, propres à la guerre, pour combattre contre Israël, [et] pour réduire le Royaume en sa puissance.
And he came Rehoboam Jerusalem and he called together [the] house of Judah and Benjamin one hundred and eighty thousand chosen [man] maker[s] of war to do battle with Israel to restore the kingdom to Rehoboam.
2 Mais la parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Sémahia, homme de Dieu, en disant:
And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Shemaiah [the] man of God saying.
3 Parle à Roboam fils de Salomon, Roi de Juda, et à tous ceux d'Israël qui sont en Juda, et en Benjamin, en disant:
Say to Rehoboam [the] son of Solomon [the] king of Judah and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin saying.
4 Ainsi a dit l'Eternel: Vous ne monterez point, et vous ne combattrez point contre vos frères; retournez-vous-en chacun en sa maison; car ceci a été fait de par moi; et ils obéirent à la parole de l'Eternel, et s'en retournèrent sans aller contre Jéroboam.
Thus he says Yahweh not you must go up and not you must do battle with countrymen your return everyone to own house his for from with me it has occurred the thing this and they obeyed [the] words of Yahweh and they turned back from going against Jeroboam.
5 Roboam demeura donc à Jérusalem, et bâtit des villes en Juda pour forteresses.
And he dwelt Rehoboam in Jerusalem and he built cities to fortification in Judah.
6 Il bâtit Beth-léhem, Hetam, Tekoah,
And he built Beth-lehem and Etam and Tekoa.
7 Beth-sur, Soco, Hadullam,
And Beth Zur and Socoh and Adullam.
8 Gath, Maresa, Ziph,
And Gath and Mareshah and Ziph.
9 Adorajim, Lakis, Hazéka,
And Adoraim and Lachish and Azekah.
10 Tsorah, Ajalon, et Hébron, qui étaient des villes de forteresse en Juda et en Benjamin.
And Zorah and Aijalon and Hebron which [were] in Judah and in Benjamin cities of fortifications.
11 Il fortifia donc ces forteresses, et y mit des Gouverneurs, et des provisions de vivres, d'huile, et de vin;
And he strengthened the fortifications and he put in them commanders and supplies of food and oil and wine.
12 Et en chaque ville, des boucliers, et des javelines, et il les fortifia bien. Ainsi Juda et Benjamin lui furent soumis.
And [were] in every city and a city body shields and spears and he made strong them to abundance exceedingly and it belonged to him Judah and Benjamin.
13 Et les Sacrificateurs et les Lévites qui étaient dans tout Israël, se joignirent à lui de toutes leurs contrées.
And the priests and the Levites who [were] in all Israel they took their stand at him from all territory their.
14 Car les Lévites laissèrent leurs faubourgs et leurs possessions, et vinrent dans la [Tribu] de Juda, et à Jérusalem: parce que Jéroboam et ses fils les avaient rejetés, afin qu'ils ne servissent plus de Sacrificateurs à l'Eternel.
For they forsook the Levites pasture lands their and property their and they went to Judah and to Jerusalem for he had rejected them Jeroboam and sons his from serving as priests to Yahweh.
15 Car [Jéroboam] s'était établi des sacrificateurs pour les hauts lieux, pour les démons, et pour les veaux qu'il avait faits.
And he appointed for himself priests for the high places and for the goats and for the calves which he had made.
16 Et après eux ceux d'entre toutes les Tribus d'Israël qui avaient appliqué leur cœur à chercher l'Eternel le Dieu d'Israël, vinrent à Jérusalem, pour sacrifier à l'Eternel le Dieu de leurs pères.
And after them from all [the] tribes of Israel those [who] set heart their to seek Yahweh [the] God of Israel they came Jerusalem to sacrifice to Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their.
17 Et ils fortifièrent le Royaume de Juda, et renforcèrent Roboam fils de Salomon, pendant trois ans, parce qu'on suivit le train de David et de Salomon pendant trois ans.
And they strengthened [the] kingdom of Judah and they strengthened Rehoboam [the] son of Solomon for years three for they walked in [the] way of David and Solomon for years three.
18 Or Roboam prit pour femme Mahalath, fille de Jérimoth, fils de David; [et] Abihaïl fille d'Eliab, fils d'Isaï;
And he took for himself Rehoboam a wife Mahalath ([the] daughter of *Q(K)*) Jerimoth [the] son of David Abihail [the] daughter of Eliab [the] son of Jesse.
19 Laquelle lui enfanta ces fils, Jéhus, Sémaria, et Zaham.
And she bore to him sons Jeush and Shemariah and Zaham.
20 Et après elle il prit Mahaca, fille d'Absalom, qui lui enfanta Abija, Hattaï, Ziza, et Sélomith.
And after her he took Maacah [the] daughter of Absalom and she bore to him Abijah and Attai and Ziza and Shelomith.
21 Mais Roboam aima Mahaca, fille d'Absalom, plus que toutes ses [autres] femmes, et que ses concubines; car il avait pris dix-huit femmes et soixante concubines, dont il eut vingt-huit fils, et soixante filles.
And he loved Rehoboam Maacah [the] daughter of Absalom more than all wives his and concubines his for wives eight-teen he had taken and concubines sixty and he fathered twenty and eight sons and sixty daughters.
22 Et Roboam établit pour Chef Abija, fils de Mahaca, afin qu'il fût le Chef de ses frères; car [son intention était] de le faire Roi.
And he appointed to the chief Rehoboam Abijah [the] son of Maacah to leader among brothers his for to make king him.
23 Et il s'avisa prudemment de disperser tous ses enfants par toutes les contrées de Juda et de Benjamin, [savoir] par toutes les villes fortes, et leur donna abondamment de quoi vivre; et il demanda pour eux beaucoup de femmes.
And he acted wisely and he distributed some of all sons his to all [the] lands of Judah and Benjamin to all [the] cities of fortifications and he gave to them food to abundance and he sought a multitude of wives.
