1 Samuel 9
1 Or il y avait un homme de Benjamin, qui avait nom Kis, fort et vaillant; fils d Abiël, fils de Tséror, fils de Becorad, fils d'Aphiah, fils d'un Benjamite;
And he was a man (from Benjamin *Q(K)*) and name his [was] Kish [the] son of Abiel [the] son of Zeror [the] son of Becorath [the] son of Aphiah a son of a man a Jaminite a mighty [man] of wealth.
2 Lequel avait un fils nommé Saül, jeune homme d'élite, et beau, en sorte qu'il n'y avait aucun des enfants d'Israël qui fût plus beau que lui, [et] depuis les épaules en haut il était plus grand qu'aucun du peuple.
And to him he belonged a son and name his [was] Saul a young man and good and not a man from [the] people of Israel [was] good more than him from shoulder his and up-wards [he was] tall more than all the people.
3 Or les ânesses de Kis, père de Saül s'étaient perdues; et Kis dit à Saül son fils: Prends maintenant avec toi un des serviteurs et te lève, et va chercher les ânesses.
And they were lost the she-asses of Kish [the] father of Saul and he said Kish to Saul son his take please with you one from the young men and arise go seek the she-asses.
4 Il passa donc par la montagne d'Ephraïm, et traversa le pays de Salisa; mais ils ne les trouvèrent point. Puis ils passèrent par le pays de Sehalim, mais elles n'y furent point; ils passèrent ensuite par le pays de Jémini, mais ils ne les trouvèrent point.
And he passed in [the] hill country of Ephraim and he passed in [the] land of Shalisha and not they found [them] and they passed in [the] land of Shaalim and there not and he passed in [the] land of [the] Jaminite[s] and not they found [them].
5 Quand ils furent venus au pays de Tsuph, Saül dit à son serviteur qui était avec lui: Viens, et retournons-nous-en, de peur que mon père n'ait cessé [d'être en peine] des ânesses, et qu'il ne soit en peine de nous.
They they came in [the] land of Zuph and Saul he said to servant his who [was] with him come! so let us turn back lest he should cease father my from the she-asses and he will be anxious to us.
6 Et le serviteur lui dit: Voici, je te prie, il y a en cette ville un homme de Dieu, qui est un personnage fort vénérable; tout ce qu'il dit arrive infailliblement; allons y maintenant, peut-être qu'il nous enseignera le chemin que nous devons prendre.
And he said to him here! please a man of God [is] in the city this and the man [is] honored all that he speaks actually it comes now let us go there perhaps he will tell to us journey our which we have walked on it.
7 Et Saül dit à son serviteur: Mais si nous y allons, que porterons-nous à l'homme de Dieu, car la provision nous a manqué, et nous n'avons aucun présent pour porter à l'homme de Dieu? qu'avons-nous avec nous?
And he said Saul to servant his and here! we will go and what? will we bring to the man for the bread it has been used up from bags our and [is] a gift there not to bring to [the] man of God what? [is] with us.
8 Et le serviteur répondit encore à Saül, et dit: Voici j'ai encore entre mes mains le quart d'un sicle d'argent, et je le donnerai à l'homme de Dieu, et il nous enseignera notre chemin.
And he repeated the servant to answer Saul and he said here! [is] found in hand my a fourth part of a shekel of silver and I will give [it] to [the] man of God and he will tell to us journey our.
9 [Or] c'était anciennement [la coutume] en Israël quand on allait consulter Dieu, qu'on se disait l'un à l'autre: Venez, allons au Voyant; car celui qu'on [appelle] aujourd'hui Prophète, s'appelait autrefois le Voyant.
Before - in Israel thus he said the man when went he to consult God come so let us go to the seer for to the prophet this day it was called before the seer.
10 Et Saül dit à son serviteur: Tu dis bien; viens; allons. Et ils s'en allèrent dans la ville où [était] l'homme de Dieu.
And he said Saul to servant his [is] good word your come! - let us go and they went to the city where [was] there [the] man of God.
11 Et comme ils montaient par la montée de la ville, ils trouvèrent de jeunes filles qui sortaient pour puiser de l'eau, et ils leur dirent: Le Voyant n'est-il pas ici?
They [were] going up on [the] ascent of the city and they they found young women coming out to draw water and they said to them ¿ [is] there in this [place] the seer.
12 Et elles leur répondirent, et dirent: Il y est, le voilà devant toi; hâte-toi maintenant, car il est venu aujourd'hui en la ville, parce qu'il y a aujourd'hui un sacrifice pour le peuple dans le haut lieu.
And they answered them and they said there is there! before you hurry - now for this day he has come to the city for a sacrifice this day [belongs] to the people at the high place.
13 Comme vous entrerez dans la ville, vous le trouverez avant qu'il monte au haut lieu pour manger; car le peuple ne mangera point jusqu'à ce qu'il soit venu, parce qu'il doit bénir le sacrifice; [et] après cela ceux qui sont conviés [en] mangeront; montez donc maintenant; car vous le trouverez aujourd'hui.
When come you the city thus you will find! him before he will go up the high place towards to eat for not it will eat the people until comes he for he he will bless the sacrifice after thus they will eat those [who] were invited and now go up for him as the day you will find! him.
14 Ils montèrent donc à la ville; et comme ils entraient dans la ville, voici, Samuel, qui sortait pour monter au haut lieu, les rencontra.
And they went up the city they [were] coming in [the] midst of the city and there! Samuel [was] coming out to meet them to go up the high place.
15 Or l'Eternel avait fait entendre et avait dit à Samuel, un jour avant que Saül vînt:
And Yahweh he had uncovered [the] ear of Samuel a day one before came Saul saying.
16 Demain à cette même heure je t'enverrai un homme du pays de Benjamin, et tu l'oindras pour être le conducteur de mon peuple d'Israël, et il délivrera mon peuple de la main des Philistins; car j'ai regardé mon peuple, parce que son cri est parvenu jusqu'à moi.
About this time - tomorrow I will send to you a man from [the] land of Benjamin and you will anoint him to ruler over people my Israel and he will deliver people my from [the] hand of [the] Philistines for I have seen people my for it has come cry of distress its to me.
17 Et dès que Samuel eut aperçu Saül, l'Eternel lui dit: Voilà l'homme dont je t'ai parlé; c'est celui qui dominera sur mon peuple.
And Samuel he saw Saul and Yahweh he answered him here! the man whom I spoke to you this [one] he will rule over people my.
18 Et Saül s'approcha de Samuel au dedans de la porte, et [lui dit]: Je te prie enseigne-moi où est la maison du Voyant.
And he approached Saul Samuel in [the] middle of the gate and he said tell! please to me where? this [is] [the] house of the seer.
19 Et Samuel répondit à Saül, et dit: Je suis le Voyant; monte devant moi au haut lieu, et vous mangerez aujourd'hui avec moi; et je te laisserai aller au matin, et je te déclarerai tout ce que tu as sur le cœur.
And he answered Samuel Saul and he said I [am] the seer go up before me the high place and you will eat with me this day and I will send away you in the morning and all that [is] in heart your I will tell to you.
20 Car quant aux ânesses que tu as perdues il y a aujourd'hui trois jours, ne t'en mets point en peine, parce qu'elles ont été trouvées. Et vers qui [tend] tout le désir d'Israël? n'est ce point vers toi, et vers toute la maison de ton père?
And to the she-asses which were lost of you this day [the] three the days may not you set heart your to them for they have been found and [belongs] to whom? every desirable thing of Israel ¿ not to you and to all [the] house of father your.
21 Et Saül répondit et dit: Ne suis-je pas Benjamite, de la moindre Tribu d'Israël, et ma famille n'est-elle pas la plus petite de toutes les familles de la Tribu de Benjamin? et pourquoi m'as-tu tenu de tels discours?
And he answered Saul and he said ¿ not a Ben-jaminite [am] I from [the] small of [the] tribes of Israel and [is] clan? my the insignificant of all [the] clans of [the] tribes of Benjamin and why? have you spoken to me according to the manner this.
22 Samuel donc prit Saül et son serviteur, et les fit entrer dans la salle, et les plaça au plus haut bout, entre les conviés, qui étaient environ trente hommes.
And he took Samuel Saul and servant his and he brought them [the] room towards and he gave to them a place at [the] head of those [who] were invited and they [were] about thirty man.
23 Et Samuel dit au cuisinier: Apporte la portion que je t'ai donnée, [et] de laquelle je t'ai dit de la serrer par devers toi.
And he said Samuel to the cook give! the portion which I gave to you which I said to you put it with you.
24 Or le cuisinier avait levé une épaule, et ce qui était au dessus, et il la mit devant Saül. Et Samuel dit: Voici ce qui a été réservé, mets-le devant toi, et mange; car il t'a été gardé expressément pour cette heure, lorsque j'ai dit de convier le peuple; et Saül mangea avec Samuel ce jour-là.
And he lifted up the cook the thigh and the on it and he put [it] - before Saul and he said here! the [part which] remains set [it] before you eat [it] for to the appointed time [it was] kept for you saying the people - I have invited and he ate Saul with Samuel on the day that.
25 Puis ils descendirent du haut lieu dans la ville, et [Samuel] parla avec Saül sur le toit.
And they went down from the high place the city and he spoke with Saul on the roof.
26 Puis s'étant levé le matin, à la pointe du jour, Samuel appela Saül sur le toit, et lui dit: Lève-toi, et je te laisserai aller. Saül donc se leva, et ils sortirent eux deux dehors, lui et Samuel.
And they rose early and it was when came up the dawn and he called Samuel to Saul (the roof towards *Q(K)*) saying arise! so I may send away you and he arose Saul and they went out [the] two of them he and Samuel the outside towards.
27 Et comme ils descendaient au bas de la ville, Samuel dit à Saül: Dis au serviteur qu'il passe devant nous; lequel passa, mais toi arrête-toi maintenant, afin que je te fasse entendre la parole de Dieu.
They [were] going down at [the] edge of the city and Samuel he said to Saul say to the servant so he may pass on before us and he passed on and you remain as the day so I may make hear you [the] word of God.
