1 Samuel 23

1 Or on avait fait ce rapport à David, en disant: Voilà, les Philistins font la guerre à Kéhila, et pillent les aires.

And people told to David saying there! [the] Philistines [are] fighting against Keilah and they [are] plundering the threshing floors.

2 Et David consulta l'Eternel en disant: Irai-je, et frapperai-je ces Philistins-là? et l'Eternel répondit à David: Va, et tu frapperas les Philistins, et tu délivreras Kéhila.

And he enquired David by Yahweh saying ¿ will I go and will I strike? the Philistines these. And he said Yahweh to David go and you will strike the Philistines and you will deliver Keilah.

3 Et les gens de David lui dirent: Voici, nous étant ici en Juda avons peur; que sera-ce donc quand nous serons allés à Kéhila contre les troupes rangées des Philistins?

And they said [the] men of David to him here! we here in Judah [are] fearful and indeed? if we will go Keilah against [the] battle lines of [the] Philistines.

4 C'est pourquoi David consulta encore l'Eternel, et l'Eternel lui répondit, et dit: Lève-toi, descends à Kéhila, car je m'en vais livrer les Philistins entre tes mains.

And he repeated again David to enquire by Yahweh. And he answered him Yahweh and he said arise go down Keilah for I [am] about to give [the] Philistines in hand your.

5 Alors David s'en alla avec ses gens à Kéhila, et combattit contre les Philistins, et emmena leur bétail, et fit un grand carnage [des Philistins]; ainsi David délivra les habitants de Kéhila.

And he went David (and men his *Q(K)*) Keilah and he fought against the Philistines and he drove away livestock their and he defeated them a defeat great and he delivered David [the] inhabitants of Keilah.

6 Or il était arrivé que quand Abiathar fils d'Ahimélec s'était enfui vers David à Kéhila, l'Ephod lui était tombé entre les mains.

And it was when fled Abiathar [the] son of Ahimelech to David Keilah an ephod it came down in hand his.

7 Et on rapporta à Saül que David était venu à Kéhila; et Saül dit: Dieu l'a livré entre mes mains; car il s'est enfermé en entrant dans une ville qui a des portes et des barres.

And it was told to Saul that he had gone David Keilah and he said Saul he has alienated him God in hand my for he has shut himself up by going in a city of doors and bar[s].

8 Et Saül assembla à cri public tout le peuple pour [aller à la] guerre, [et] descendre à Kéhila, afin d'assiéger David et ses gens.

And he summoned Saul all the people for battle to go down Keilah to lay siege against David and against men his.

9 Mais David ayant su que Saül lui machinait ce mal, dit au Sacrificateur Abiathar: Mets l'Ephod.

And he knew David that on him Saul [was] plotting evil and he said to Abiathar the priest bring near! the ephod.

10 Puis David dit: Ô Eternel! Dieu d'Israël! ton serviteur a appris comme une chose certaine, que Saül cherche d'entrer dans Kéhila, pour détruire la ville à cause de moi.

And he said David O Yahweh [the] God of Israel certainly he has heard servant your that [is] seeking Saul to come to Keilah to destroy the city because of me.

11 Les Seigneurs de Kéhila me livreront-ils entre ses mains? Saül descendra-t-il, comme ton serviteur l'a ouï dire? Ô Eternel! Dieu d'Israël! je te prie, enseigne-le à ton serviteur. Et l'Eternel répondit: Il descendra.

¿ Will they deliver up me [the] citizens of Keilah in hand his ¿ will he come down Saul just as he has heard servant your O Yahweh [the] God of Israel tell please to servant your. And he said Yahweh he will come down.

12 David dit encore: Les Seigneurs de Kéhila me livreront-ils, moi et mes gens, entre les mains de Saül? Et l'Eternel répondit: Ils t'y livreront.

And he said David ¿ will they deliver up [the] citizens of Keilah me and men my in [the] hand of Saul and he said Yahweh they will deliver [you] up.

13 Alors David se leva, et environ six cents hommes avec lui, et ils sortirent de Kéhila, et s'en allèrent où ils purent; et on rapporta à Saül que David s'était sauvé de Kéhila: c'est pourquoi il cessa de marcher.

And he arose David and men his about six hundred man and they went out from Keilah and they went about at where they went about and to Saul it was told that he had escaped David from Keilah and he ceased to go forth.

14 Et David demeura au désert dans des lieux forts, et il se tint en une montagne au désert de Ziph. Et Saül le cherchait tous les jours, mais Dieu ne le livra point entre ses mains.

And he dwelt David in the wilderness in the strongholds and he dwelt in the hill country in [the] wilderness of Ziph and he sought him Saul all the days and not he gave him God in hand his.

15 David donc ayant vu que Saül était sorti pour chercher sa vie, se tint au désert de Ziph en la forêt.

And he saw David that he had come forth Saul to seek life his and David [was] in [the] wilderness of Ziph at Horesh.

16 Alors Jonathan fils de Saül se leva, et s'en alla en la forêt vers David, et fortifia ses mains en Dieu.

And he arose Jonathan [the] son of Saul and he went to David Horesh and he strengthened hand his in God.

17 Et lui dit: Ne crains point; car Saül mon père ne t'attrapera point, mais tu régneras sur Israël, et moi je serai le second après toi; et même Saül mon père le sait bien.

And he said to him may not you be afraid for not it will find you [the] hand of Saul father my and you you will reign over Israel and I I will become to you second in rank and also Saul father my [is] knowing [it is] thus.

18 Ils traitèrent donc eux deux alliance devant l'Eternel; et David demeura dans la forêt, mais Jonathan retourna en sa maison.

And they made [the] two of them a covenant before Yahweh and he remained David at Horesh and Jonathan he went to house his.

19 Or les Ziphiens montèrent vers Saül à Guibha, et lui dirent: David ne se tient-il pas caché parmi nous, dans des lieux forts, dans la forêt, au coteau de Hakila, qui est à main droite de Jésimon?

And they went up Ziphites to Saul Gibeah towards saying ¿ not [is] David hiding himself with us in the strongholds at Horesh on [the] hill of Hakilah which [is] from [the] south of Jeshimon.

20 Maintenant donc, ô Roi! si tu souhaites de descendre, descends, et ce sera à nous à le livrer entre les mains du Roi.

And now to all [the] desire of self your O king to come down come down and [belongs] to us to deliver up him in [the] hand of the king.

21 Et Saül dit: Bénis soyez-vous de par l'Eternel, de ce que vous avez eu pitié de moi.

And he said Saul [be] blessed you by Yahweh for you have had compassion on me.

22 Allez donc, je vous prie, et préparez toutes choses, et sachez, et reconnaissez le lieu, où il fait sa retraite, [et] qui l'aura vu là; car on m'a dit, qu'il est fort rusé.

Go please prepare still and know and see place his where it is foot his who? has he seen him there for someone has said to me certainly he is crafty he.

23 Reconnaissez donc et sachez dans laquelle de toutes ces retraites il se tient caché, puis retournez vers moi quand vous en serez assurés, et j'irai avec vous; et s'il est au pays, je le chercherai soigneusement parmi tous les milliers de Juda.

And see and know from all the hiding places where he hides himself there and you will return to me to a certain [thing] and I will go with you and it will be if there he [is] in the land and I will search out him among all [the] thousands of Judah.

24 Ils se levèrent donc et s'en allèrent à Ziph devant Saül; mais David et ses gens étaient au désert de Mahon, en la campagne, à main droite de Jésimon.

And they arose and they went Ziph towards before Saul and David and men his [were] in [the] wilderness of Maon in the Arabah to [the] south of Jeshimon.

25 Ainsi Saül et ses gens s'en allèrent le chercher; et on le rapporta à David: et il descendit dans la roche, et demeura au désert de Mahon: ce que Saül ayant appris, il poursuivit David au désert de Mahon.

And he went Saul and men his to seek [him] and people told to David and he went down the rock and he remained in [the] wilderness of Maon and he heard Saul and he pursued after David [the] wilderness of Maon.

26 Et Saül allait de deçà le côté de la montagne, et David et ses gens allaient de delà, à l'autre côté de la montagne; et David se hâtait autant qu'il pouvait de s'en aller de devant Saül, mais Saül et ses gens environnèrent David et ses gens pour les prendre.

And he went Saul from [the] side of the mountain from this and David and men his [were] from [the] side of the mountain from this and he was David hurrying away to go from before Saul and Saul and men his [were] surrounding David and men his to catch them.

27 Sur cela un messager vint à Saül, en disant: Hâte-toi, et viens, car les Philistins se sont jetés sur le pays.

And a messenger he came to Saul saying make haste! and come! for they have made a raid [the] Philistines on the land.

28 Ainsi Saül s'en retourna de la poursuite de David, et s'en alla au devant des Philistins: c'est pourquoi on a appelé ce lieu-là Sélah-hammahlekoth.

And he turned back Saul from pursuing after David and he went to meet [the] Philistines there-fore people called the place that Sela Hammahlekoth.

29 Puis David monta de là, et demeura dans les lieux forts de Hen-guédi.

And he went up David from there and he dwelt in [the] strongholds of En Gedi.
