1 Corinthiens 1

1 Paul appelé à être Apôtre de Jésus-Christ, par la volonté de Dieu, et le frère Sosthènes,

Poul, clepid apostle of Jhesu Crist, bi the wille of God, and Sostenes, brothir, to the chirche of God that is at Corynthe,

2 A l'Eglise de Dieu qui est à Corinthe, aux sanctifiés en Jésus-Christ, qui êtes appelés à être saints, avec tous ceux qui en quelque lieu que ce soit invoquent le Nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, leur [Seigneur] et le nôtre;

to hem that ben halewid in Crist Jhesu, and clepid seyntis, with alle that inwardli clepen the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, in ech place of hem and of oure,

3 Que la grâce et la paix vous soient données par Dieu notre Père, et par le Seigneur Jésus-Christ.

grace to you and pees of God, oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.

4 Je rends toujours grâces à mon Dieu à cause de vous, pour la grâce de Dieu qui vous a été donnée en Jésus-Christ;

Y do thankyngis to my God eueremore for you, in the grace of God that is youun to you in Crist Jhesu.

5 De ce qu'en toutes choses vous êtes enrichis en lui de tout don de parole, et de toute connaissance;

For in alle thingis ye ben maad riche in hym, in ech word, and in ech kunnyng,

6 Selon que le témoignage de Jésus-Christ a été confirmé en vous;

as the witnessyng of Crist is confermyd in you;

7 Tellement qu'il ne vous manque aucun don, pendant que vous attendez la manifestation de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ,

so that no thing faile to you in ony grace, that abiden the schewyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist;

8 Qui aussi vous affermira jusqu’à la fin, pour être irrépréhensibles en la journée de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.

which also schal conferme you in to the ende with outen cryme, in the dai of the comyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.

9 [Et] Dieu, par qui vous avez été appelés à la communion de son Fils Jésus-Christ notre Seigneur, est fidèle.

`A trewe God, bi whom ye ben clepid in to the felouschipe of his sone Jhesu Crist oure Lord.

10 Or je vous prie, mes frères, par le Nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, que vous parliez tous un même langage, et qu'il n'y ait point de divisions entre vous, mais que vous soyez bien unis dans un même sentiment, et dans un même avis.

But, britheren, Y biseche you, bi the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that ye alle seie the same thing, and that dissenciouns be not among you; but be ye perfit in the same wit, and in the same kunnyng.

11 Car, mes frères, il m'a été dit de vous par ceux [qui sont de chez] Chloé, qu'il y a des dissensions parmi vous.

For, my britheren, it is teld to me of hem that ben at Cloes, that stryues ben among you.

12 Voici donc ce que je dis, c'est que chacun de vous dit: pour moi, je suis de Paul; et moi je suis d'Apollos; et moi, de Céphas; et moi, de Christ.

And Y seie that, that ech of you seith, For Y am of Poul, and Y am of Apollo, and Y am of Cefas, but Y am of Crist.

13 Christ est-il divisé? Paul a-t-il été crucifié pour vous? ou avez-vous été baptisés au nom de Paul?

Whether Crist is departid? whether Poul was crucified for you, ether ye ben baptisid in the name of Poul?

14 Je rends grâces à Dieu que je n'ai baptisé aucun de vous, sinon Crispus et Gaïus;

Y do thankyngis to my God, that Y baptiside noon of you, but Crispus and Gayus;

15 Afin que personne ne dise que j'ai baptisé en mon nom.

lest ony man seie, that ye ben baptisid in my name.

16 J'ai bien aussi baptisé la famille de Stéphanas; du reste, je ne sais pas si j'ai baptisé quelque autre.

And Y baptiside also the hous of Stephan, but Y woot not, that Y baptiside ony other.

17 Car Christ ne m'a pas envoyé pour baptiser, mais pour évangéliser, non point avec les discours de la sagesse [humaine], afin que la croix de Christ ne soit point anéantie.

For Crist sente me not to baptise, but to preche the gospel; not in wisdom of word, that the cros of Crist be not voidid awei.

18 Car la parole de la croix est une folie à ceux qui périssent; mais à nous qui obtenons le salut, elle est la vertu de Dieu.

For the word of the cros is foli to hem that perischen; but to hem that ben maad saaf, that is to seie, to vs, it is the vertu of God.

19 Vu qu'il est écrit: j'abolirai la sagesse des sages, et j'anéantirai l'intelligence des hommes intelligents.

For it is writun, Y schal distruye the wisdom of wise men, and Y schal reproue the prudence of prudent men.

20 Où est le sage? où est le Scribe? où est le Disputeur de ce Siècle? Dieu n'a-t-il pas manifesté la folie de la sagesse de ce monde? (aiōn g165)

Where is the wise man? where is the wise lawiere? where is the purchasour of this world? Whether God hath not maad the wisdom of this world fonned? (aiōn g165)

21 Car puisqu'en la sapience de Dieu, le monde n'a point connu Dieu par la sagesse, le bon plaisir de Dieu a été de sauver les croyants par la folie de la prédication.

For the world in wisdom of God knewe not God bi wisdom, it pleside to God, bi foli of prechyng, `to maken hem saaf that bileueden.

22 Car les Juifs demandent des miracles, et les Grecs cherchent la sagesse.

For Jewis seken signes, and Grekis seken wisdom;

23 Mais pour nous, nous prêchons Christ crucifié, qui est un scandale pour les Juifs, et une folie pour les Grecs.

but we prechen Crist crucified, to Jewis sclaundre, and to hethene men foli;

24 A ceux, dis-je, qui sont appelés tant Juifs que Grecs, [nous leur prêchons] Christ, la puissance de Dieu, et la sagesse de Dieu.

but to tho Jewis and Grekis that ben clepid, we prechen Crist the vertu of God and the wisdom of God.

25 Parce que la folie de Dieu est plus sage que les hommes, et la faiblesse de Dieu est plus forte que les hommes.

For that that is foli thing of God, is wiser than men; and that that is the feble thing of God, is strengere than men.

26 Car, mes frères, vous voyez votre vocation, que vous n'êtes pas beaucoup de sages selon la chair, ni beaucoup de puissants, ni beaucoup de nobles.

But, britheren, se ye youre clepyng; for not many wise men aftir the fleisch, not many myyti, not many noble.

27 Mais Dieu a choisi les choses folles de ce monde, pour rendre confuses les sages; et Dieu a choisi les choses faibles de ce monde, pour rendre confuses les fortes;

But God chees tho thingis that ben fonned of the world, to confounde wise men;

28 Et Dieu a choisi les choses viles de ce monde, et les méprisées, même celles qui ne sont point, pour abolir celles qui sont.

and God chees the feble thingis of the world, to confounde the stronge thingis; and God chees the vnnoble thingis `and dispisable thingis of the world, and tho thingis that ben not, to distruye tho thingis that ben;

29 Afin que nulle chair ne se glorifie devant lui.

that ech man haue not glorie in his siyt.

30 Or c'est par lui que vous êtes en Jésus-Christ, qui vous a été fait de la part de Dieu sagesse, justice, sanctification, et rédemption;

But of hym ye ben in Crist Jhesu, which is maad of God to vs wisdom, and riytwisnesse, and holynesse, and ayenbiyng; that,

31 Afin que comme il est écrit, celui qui se glorifie, se glorifie au Seigneur.

as it is wrytun, He that glorieth, haue glorie in the Lord.
