1 Chroniques 24
1 Et quant aux enfants d'Aaron, ce sont ici leurs départements. Les enfants d'Aaron furent, Nadab, Abihu, Eléazar et Ithamar.
Now, the sons of Aaron, had their courses, —the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar;
2 Mais Nadab et Abihu moururent en la présence de leur père, et n'eurent point d'enfants; et Eléazar et Ithamar exercèrent la sacrificature.
but Nadab and Abihu, died, before their father, and sons, had they none, —but Eleazar and Ithamar became priests;
3 Or David les distribua, savoir, Tsadoc, qui était des enfants d'Eléazar; et Ahimélec, qui était des enfants d'Ithamar, pour leurs charges, dans le service qu'ils avaient à faire.
and David apportioned to them courses, both to Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and to Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, —by their appointed place in their service.
4 Et quand on les distribua, on trouva un beaucoup plus grand nombre des enfants d'Eléazar pour être Chefs de famille, que des enfants d'Ithamar, y ayant eu des enfants d'Eléazar, seize Chefs, selon leurs familles, et [n'y en ayant eu que] huit, des enfants d'Ithamar, selon leurs familles.
But the sons of Eleazar were found to be more numerous, by the chiefs of their able men, than were the sons of Ithamar, so they divided them, —the sons of Eleazar, had chiefs, of the ancestral house, sixteen, whereas, the sons of Ithamar, had of their ancestral house, eight.
5 Et on fit leurs départements par sort, les entremêlant les uns parmi les autres; car les Gouverneurs du Sanctuaire, et les Gouverneurs [de la maison] de Dieu furent tirés tant des enfants d'Eléazar, que des enfants d'Ithamar.
They divided them, therefore, by [casting] lots, these with those, —for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, from among the sons of Eleazar, and among the sons of Ithamar.
6 Et Sémahja fils de Nathanaël scribe, qui était de la Tribu de Lévi, les mit par écrit en la présence du Roi, des principaux [du peuple], de Tsadoc le Sacrificateur, d'Ahimélec, fils d'Abiathar, et des Chefs des pères [des familles] des Sacrificateurs, et de celles des Lévites. Le [chef] d'une maison de père se tirait pour Eléazar, et celui qui était tiré [après], se tirait pour Ithamar.
And Shemaiah son of Nethanel the scribe from among the Levites, wrote them down, before the king and the rulers and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the ancestral chiefs, pertaining to the priests and to the Levites, —one ancestral house, was taken for Eleazar, and, was equally taken, for Ithamar.
7 Le premier sort donc échut à Jéhojarib, le second à Jédahia,
So then the first lot came forth for Jehoiarib, for Jedaiah, the second;
8 Le troisième à Harim, le quatrième à Sehorim,
for Harim, the third, for Seorim, the fourth;
9 Le cinquième à Malkija, le sixième à Mijamin,
for Malchijah, the fifth, for Mijamin, the sixth;
10 Le septième à Kots, le huitième à Abija,
for Hakkoz, the seventh, for Abijah, the eighth;
11 Le neuvième à Jésuah, le dixième à Sécania,
for Jeshua, the ninth, for Shecaniah, the tenth;
12 L'onzième à Eliasib, le douzième à Jakim,
for Eliashib, the eleventh, for Jakim, the twelfth;
13 Le treizième à Huppa, le quatorzième à Jésébab,
for Huppah, the thirteenth, for Jeshebeab, the fourteenth;
14 Le quinzième à Bilga, le seizième à Immer,
for Bilgah, the fifteenth, for Immer, the sixteenth;
15 Le dix-septième à Hézir, le dix-huitième à Pitsets,
for Hezir, the seventeenth, for Happizzez, the eighteenth;
16 Le dix-neuvième à Péthahja, le vingtième à Ezéchiel,
for Pethahiah, the nineteenth, for Jehezkel, the twentieth;
17 Le vingt et unième à Jakim, et le vingt et deuxième à Gamul,
for Jachin, the twenty-first, for Gamul, the twenty-second;
18 Le vingt et troisième à Délaja, le vingt et quatrième à Mahazia.
for Delaiah, the twenty-third, for Maaziah, the twenty-fourth.
19 Tel fut leur dénombrement pour le service qu'ils avaient à faire, lorsqu'ils entraient dans la maison de l'Eternel, selon qu'il leur avait été ordonné par Aaron leur père, comme l'Eternel le Dieu d'Israël le lui avait commandé.
These, were their appointed places for their service, for entering the house of Yahweh, according to the regulation of them, by the hand of Aaron their father, —just as Yahweh God of Israel, commanded him.
20 Et quant aux enfants de Lévi qu'il y avait eu de reste des enfants de Hamram, il y eut Subaël, et des enfants de Subaël Jehdéja.
Now, as for the sons of Levi who remained, of the sons of Amram, Shubael, of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
21 De ceux de Réhabia, des enfants, [dis-je], de Réhabia, Jisija était le premier.
Of Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the chief Isshiah;
22 Des Jitsharites, Sélomoth; des enfants de Sélomoth, Jahath.
of the Izharites, Shelomoth, —of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath;
23 Et des enfants de Jérija, Amaria le second; Jahaziël le troisième, Jékamham le quatrième.
and, the sons [of Hebron], Jeriah, —Amariah, the second, Jehaziel, the third, Jekameam, the fourth;
24 Des enfants de 'Huziël, Mica; des enfants de Mica, Samir.
the sons of Uzziel, Micah, of the sons of Micah, Shamir;
25 Le frère de Mica, était Jisija; des enfants de Jisija, Zacharie.
the brother of Micah, Isshiah, of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
26 Des enfants de Mérari, Mahli, et Musi. Des enfants de Jahazija, son fils.
The sons of Merari, Mahli and Mushi, —the sons of Jaaziah, Beno;
27 Des enfants [donc] de Mérari, de Jahazija, son fils, et Soham, Zaccur et Hibri.
the sons of Merari, of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham and Zaccur and Ibri:
28 De Mahli, Eléazar, qui n'eut point de fils.
of Mahli, Eleazar, who had no sons;
29 De Kis, les enfants de Kis, Jérahméël.
of Kish—the sons of Kish, Jerameel;
30 Et des enfants de Musi, Mahli, Héder, et Jérimoth. Ce sont là les enfants des Lévites, selon les maisons de leurs pères.
and, the sons of Mushi, Mahli and Eder and Jerimoth. These, were the sons of the Levites, belonging to their ancestral house.
31 Et ils jetèrent pareillement les sorts selon le nombre de leurs frères les enfants d'Aaron, en la présence du Roi David, de Tsadoc, et d'Ahimélec, et des Chefs des pères [des familles] des Sacrificateurs et des Lévites; les Chefs des pères [de famille] correspondant à leurs plus jeunes frères.
Moreover, they also, cast lots along with their brethren the sons of Aaron, before David the king and Zadok and Ahimelech, and the ancestral chiefs, pertaining to the priests and to the Levites, the ancestral chief along with his younger brethren.
