Psaumes 25
1 De David. Éternel! J’élève à toi mon âme.
David’s. [An Alphabetical Psalm.] Unto thee, O Yahweh, my soul, would I lift:
2 Mon Dieu! en toi je me confie: que je ne sois pas couvert de honte! Que mes ennemis ne se réjouissent pas à mon sujet!
O my God, in thee, have I put my trust, Let me not be put to shame, Let not my foe exult over me:
3 Tous ceux qui espèrent en toi ne seront point confondus; Ceux-là seront confondus qui sont infidèles sans cause.
Yea let, none who wait for thee, be put to shame, Let them be put to shame who act covertly without cause!
4 Éternel! fais-moi connaître tes voies, Enseigne-moi tes sentiers.
Thy ways, O Yahweh, let me know, Thy paths, teach thou me:
5 Conduis-moi dans ta vérité, et instruis-moi; Car tu es le Dieu de mon salut, Tu es toujours mon espérance.
Guide me into thy truth and teach me, for, thou, art my delivering God, For thee, have I waited all the day:
6 Éternel! Souviens-toi de ta miséricorde et de ta bonté; Car elles sont éternelles.
Remember thy compassions, O Yahweh, and thy lovingkindnesses, For, from age-past times, have they been.
7 Ne te souviens pas des fautes de ma jeunesse ni de mes transgressions; Souviens-toi de moi selon ta miséricorde, A cause de ta bonté, ô Éternel!
The sins of my youth, and my transgressions, do not thou call to mind, —According to thine own lovingkindness, remember thou me, for the sake of thine own goodness, O Yahweh.
8 L’Éternel est bon et droit: C’est pourquoi il montre aux pécheurs la voie.
Good and upright, is Yahweh, For this cause, will he direct sinners into the way.
9 Il conduit les humbles dans la justice, Il enseigne aux humbles sa voie.
May he guide patient wronged-ones to be righted, and teach such oppressed-ones his way.
10 Tous les sentiers de l’Éternel sont miséricorde et fidélité, Pour ceux qui gardent son alliance et ses commandements.
All the paths of Yahweh, are lovingkindness and faithfulness, to such as keep his covenant, and his testimonies.
11 C’est à cause de ton nom, ô Éternel! Que tu pardonneras mon iniquité, car elle est grande.
For the sake of thy Name, O Yahweh, Therefore wilt thou pardon mine iniquity, for great it is.
12 Quel est l’homme qui craint l’Éternel? L’Éternel lui montre la voie qu’il doit choisir.
Who then is the man that revereth Yahweh? Let him direct him into the way he should choose.
13 Son âme reposera dans le bonheur, Et sa postérité possédera le pays.
His soul, with prosperity, shall tarry, and, his seed, shall possess the land.
14 L’amitié de l’Éternel est pour ceux qui le craignent, Et son alliance leur donne instruction.
Intimacy with Yahweh, have they who revere him, His covenant also, he letteth them know.
15 Je tourne constamment les yeux vers l’Éternel, Car il fera sortir mes pieds du filet.
Mine eyes, are continually unto Yahweh, —for, he, bringeth, out of the net, my feet.
16 Regarde-moi et aie pitié de moi, Car je suis abandonné et malheureux.
Turn thou unto me, and show me favour, for, alone and oppressed, I am.
17 Les angoisses de mon cœur augmentent; Tire-moi de ma détresse.
The distresses of my heart, hath he relieved, —and, out of my straits, brought me forth.
18 Vois ma misère et ma peine, Et pardonne tous mes péchés.
Behold my humiliation and my pain, and take away all my sins.
19 Vois combien mes ennemis sont nombreux, Et de quelle haine violente ils me poursuivent.
Behold my foes, for they abound, —and, with the hatred of violence, do they hate me.
20 Garde mon âme et sauve-moi! Que je ne sois pas confus, Quand je cherche auprès de toi mon refuge!
Oh keep my soul, and rescue me, Let me not be put to shame, for I have sought refuge in thee.
21 Que l’innocence et la droiture me protègent, Quand je mets en toi mon espérance!
Let, blamelessness and uprightness, watch over me, because I have waited for thee.
22 O Dieu! Délivre Israël De toutes ses détresses!
Redeem Israel, O God, —out of all his distresses.
