Michée 5
1 Maintenant, fille de troupes, rassemble tes troupes! On nous assiège; Avec la verge on frappe sur la joue le juge d’Israël.
Nowe assemble thy garisons, O daughter of garisons: he hath layed siege against vs: they shall smite the iudge of Israel with a rod vpon the cheeke.
2 Et toi, Bethléhem Éphrata, Petite entre les milliers de Juda, De toi sortira pour moi Celui qui dominera sur Israël, Et dont l’origine remonte aux temps anciens, Aux jours de l’éternité.
And thou Beth-leem Ephrathah art litle to bee among the thousandes of Iudah, yet out of thee shall he come forth vnto me, that shalbe the ruler in Israel: whose goings forth haue bene from the beginning and from euerlasting.
3 C’est pourquoi il les livrera Jusqu’au temps où enfantera celle qui doit enfanter, Et le reste de ses frères Reviendra auprès des enfants d’Israël.
Therefore will he giue them vp, vntill the time that shee which shall beare, shall trauaile: then the remnant of their brethren shall returne vnto the children of Israel.
4 Il se présentera, et il gouvernera avec la force de l’Éternel, Avec la majesté du nom de l’Éternel, son Dieu: Et ils auront une demeure assurée, Car il sera glorifié jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre.
And he shall stand, and feed in the strength of the Lord, and in the maiestie of the Name of the Lord his God, and they shall dwel still: for now shall he be magnified vnto the ends of the world.
5 C’est lui qui ramènera la paix. Lorsque l’Assyrien viendra dans notre pays, Et qu’il pénétrera dans nos palais, Nous ferons lever contre lui sept pasteurs Et huit princes du peuple.
And hee shall be our peace when Asshur shall come into our lande: when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seuen shepheardes, and eight principall men.
6 Ils feront avec l’épée leur pâture du pays d’Assyrie Et du pays de Nimrod au-dedans de ses portes. Il nous délivrera ainsi de l’Assyrien, Lorsqu’il viendra dans notre pays, Et qu’il pénétrera sur notre territoire.
And they shall destroy Asshur with the sword, and the land of Nimrod with their swordes: thus shall he deliuer vs from Asshur, when hee commeth into our lande, and when he shall tread within our borders.
7 Le reste de Jacob sera au milieu des peuples nombreux Comme une rosée qui vient de l’Éternel, Comme des gouttes d’eau sur l’herbe: Elles ne comptent pas sur l’homme, Elles ne dépendent pas des enfants des hommes.
And the remnant of Iaakob shalbe among many people, as a dewe from the Lord, and as the showres vpon the grasse, that waiteth not for man, nor hopeth in the sonnes of Adam.
8 Le reste de Jacob sera parmi les nations, Au milieu des peuples nombreux, Comme un lion parmi les bêtes de la forêt, Comme un lionceau parmi les troupeaux de brebis: Lorsqu’il passe, il foule et déchire, Et personne ne délivre.
And the remnant of Iaakob shalbe among the Gentiles in the middes of many people, as the lyon among the beastes of the forest, and as the lyons whelpe among the flockes of sheepe, who when he goeth thorow, treadeth downe and teareth in pieces, and none can deliuer.
9 Que ta main se lève sur tes adversaires, Et que tous tes ennemis soient exterminés!
Thine hand shall bee lift vp vpon thine aduersaries, and all thine enemies shalbe cut off.
10 En ce jour-là, dit l’Éternel, J’exterminerai du milieu de toi tes chevaux, Et je détruirai tes chars;
And it shall come to passe in that day, sayth the Lord, that I will cut off thine horses out of the middes of thee, and I will destroy thy charets.
11 J’exterminerai les villes de ton pays, Et je renverserai toutes tes forteresses;
And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and ouerthrowe all thy strong holdes.
12 J’exterminerai de ta main les enchantements, Et tu n’auras plus de magiciens;
And I will cut off thine enchanters out of thine hande: and thou shalt haue no more southsayers.
13 J’exterminerai du milieu de toi tes idoles et tes statues, Et tu ne te prosterneras plus devant l’ouvrage de tes mains;
Thine idoles also will I cut off, and thine images out of the middes of thee: and thou shalt no more worship the woorke of thine hands.
14 J’exterminerai du milieu de toi tes idoles d’Astarté, Et je détruirai tes villes.
And I wil plucke vp thy groues out of the middes of thee: so will I destroy thine enemies.
15 J’exercerai ma vengeance avec colère, avec fureur, sur les nations Qui n’ont pas écouté.
And I will execute a vegeance in my wrath and indignation vpon the heathen, which they haue not heard.
