Marc 15
1 Dès le matin, les principaux sacrificateurs tinrent conseil avec les anciens et les scribes, et tout le sanhédrin. Après avoir lié Jésus, ils l’emmenèrent, et le livrèrent à Pilate.
And, straightway, early, when they had made, a council, the High-priest, with the Elders, and Scribes, and all the High-council, binding Jesus, led him away, and delivered him up unto Pilate.
2 Pilate l’interrogea: Es-tu le roi des Juifs? Jésus lui répondit: Tu le dis.
And Pilate questioned him—Art, thou, the king of the Jews? And, he, answering him, saith—Thou, sayest.
3 Les principaux sacrificateurs portaient contre lui plusieurs accusations.
And the High-priests began to accuse him, of many things.
4 Pilate l’interrogea de nouveau: Ne réponds-tu rien? Vois de combien de choses ils t’accusent.
And, Pilate, again, was questioning him, [saying]—Answerest thou, nothing? See! of how many things, they are accusing thee!
5 Et Jésus ne fit plus aucune réponse, ce qui étonna Pilate.
But, Jesus, no further, answered, anything, so that Pilate began to marvel.
6 A chaque fête, il relâchait un prisonnier, celui que demandait la foule.
Now, at feast time, he was wont to release unto them one prisoner, whom they were claiming.
7 Il y avait en prison un nommé Barabbas avec ses complices, pour un meurtre qu’ils avaient commis dans une sédition.
And there was the so-called Barabbas, with the rebels, bound, even with them who, in the rebellion, had committed, murder.
8 La foule, étant montée, se mit à demander ce qu’il avait coutume de leur accorder.
And, going up, the multitude began to be claiming—according as he was wont to do for them.
9 Pilate leur répondit: Voulez-vous que je vous relâche le roi des Juifs?
But, Pilate, answered them, saying—Will ye, I release unto you, the King of the Jews?
10 Car il savait que c’était par envie que les principaux sacrificateurs l’avaient livré.
For he was getting to know that, for envy, had [the High-priests] delivered him up.
11 Mais les chefs des sacrificateurs excitèrent la foule, afin que Pilate leur relâchât plutôt Barabbas.
But, the High-priests, stirred up the multitude, that, rather Barabbas, he should release unto them.
12 Pilate, reprenant la parole, leur dit: Que voulez-vous donc que je fasse de celui que vous appelez le roi des Juifs?
But, Pilate, again answering, was saying unto them—What then shall I do with him whom ye call, the King of the Jews?
13 Ils crièrent de nouveau: Crucifie-le!
And, they, again, cried out—Crucify him!
14 Pilate leur dit: Quel mal a-t-il fait? Et ils crièrent encore plus fort: Crucifie-le!
But, Pilate, was saying unto them—Why! what, evil, hath he done? And, they, vehemently, cried out—Crucify him!
15 Pilate, voulant satisfaire la foule, leur relâcha Barabbas; et, après avoir fait battre de verges Jésus, il le livra pour être crucifié.
And Pilate, being minded to do what would satisfy, the multitude, released unto them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus, having scourged him, that he should be crucified.
16 Les soldats conduisirent Jésus dans l’intérieur de la cour, c’est-à-dire, dans le prétoire, et ils assemblèrent toute la cohorte.
And, the soldiers, led him away, inside the court, which is a judgment-hall, —and called together the whole band;
17 Ils le revêtirent de pourpre, et posèrent sur sa tête une couronne d’épines, qu’ils avaient tressée.
and they array him in purple, and set upon him, when they have plaited it; a crown of thorns, —
18 Puis ils se mirent à le saluer: Salut, roi des Juifs!
and began to be saluting him—Joy to thee! King of the Jews!
19 Et ils lui frappaient la tête avec un roseau, crachaient sur lui, et, fléchissant les genoux, ils se prosternaient devant lui.
and were striking him on the head with a reed, and were spitting at him, —and, bowing their knees, were doing him homage.
20 Après s’être ainsi moqués de lui, ils lui ôtèrent la pourpre, lui remirent ses vêtements, et l’emmenèrent pour le crucifier.
And, when they had mocked him, they put off him, the purple, and put on him, his own garments. And they lead him forth, that they may crucify him.
21 Ils forcèrent à porter la croix de Jésus un passant qui revenait des champs, Simon de Cyrène, père d’Alexandre et de Rufus;
And they impress a certain passer-by, Simon a Cyrenian, coming from a field, the father of Alexander and Rufus, —that he may carry his cross.
22 et ils conduisirent Jésus au lieu nommé Golgotha, ce qui signifie lieu du crâne.
And they bring him unto the Golgotha place, which is, being translated, Skull-place.
23 Ils lui donnèrent à boire du vin mêlé de myrrhe, mais il ne le prit pas.
And they would have given him, myrrhed wine, —who, however, received it not.
24 Ils le crucifièrent, et se partagèrent ses vêtements, en tirant au sort pour savoir ce que chacun aurait.
And they crucify him, and part asunder his garments, casting a lot upon them—who should have anything.
25 C’était la troisième heure, quand ils le crucifièrent.
And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
26 L’inscription indiquant le sujet de sa condamnation portait ces mots: Le roi des Juifs.
And the inscription of his accusation, had been inscribed—THE KING OF THE JEWS.
27 Ils crucifièrent avec lui deux brigands, l’un à sa droite, et l’autre à sa gauche.
And, with him, they crucify, two robbers, one on his right hand, and one on his left.
28 Ainsi fut accompli ce que dit l’Écriture: Il a été mis au nombre des malfaiteurs.
29 Les passants l’injuriaient, et secouaient la tête, en disant: Hé! toi qui détruis le temple, et qui le rebâtis en trois jours,
And, the passers-by, were reviling him, shaking their heads, and saying—Aha! thou who wast pulling down the shrine, and building one in three days!
30 sauve-toi toi-même, en descendant de la croix!
Save thyself, —coming down from the cross.
31 Les principaux sacrificateurs aussi, avec les scribes, se moquaient entre eux, et disaient: Il a sauvé les autres, et il ne peut se sauver lui-même!
Likewise, the High-priests also, mocking one to another, with the Scribes, were saying—Others, he saved, himself, he cannot save!
32 Que le Christ, le roi d’Israël, descende maintenant de la croix, afin que nous voyions et que nous croyions! Ceux qui étaient crucifiés avec lui l’insultaient aussi.
The Christ, the King of Israel—let him come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And, they who had been crucified with him, were casting it in his teeth.
33 La sixième heure étant venue, il y eut des ténèbres sur toute la terre, jusqu’à la neuvième heure.
And, when it was the sixth hour, darkness, came on all the land—until the ninth hour;
34 Et à la neuvième heure, Jésus s’écria d’une voix forte: Éloï, Éloï, lama sabachthani? ce qui signifie: Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m’as-tu abandonné?
and, at the ninth hour, Jesus, uttered a cry, with a loud voice—Eloi! Eloi! lama sabachthanei? which is, being translated—My God! [My God!] to what end, didst thou forsake me?
35 Quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient là, l’ayant entendu, dirent: Voici, il appelle Élie.
And, some of the by-standers, having heard, were saying—See! Elijah, he calleth!
36 Et l’un d’eux courut remplir une éponge de vinaigre, et, l’ayant fixée à un roseau, il lui donna à boire, en disant: Laissez, voyons si Élie viendra le descendre.
And one, running, filled a sponge with vinegar, and, putting it about a reed, was giving him to drink, saying—Stay! let us see whether Elijah is coming, to take him down!
37 Mais Jésus, ayant poussé un grand cri, expira.
But, Jesus, sending out a loud voice, ceased to breathe.
38 Le voile du temple se déchira en deux, depuis le haut jusqu’en bas.
And, the veil of the Temple, was rent into two, from top to bottom.
39 Le centenier, qui était en face de Jésus, voyant qu’il avait expiré de la sorte, dit: Assurément, cet homme était Fils de Dieu.
Now the centurion, who was standing near, out over against him, seeing, that, thus, he ceased to breathe, said—Truly, this man, was God’s son!
40 Il y avait aussi des femmes qui regardaient de loin. Parmi elles étaient Marie de Magdala, Marie, mère de Jacques le mineur et de Joses, et Salomé,
And there were, women also, from afar, looking on, —among whom were both Mary the Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the Little and Joses, and Salome;
41 qui le suivaient et le servaient lorsqu’il était en Galilée, et plusieurs autres qui étaient montées avec lui à Jérusalem.
who, when he was in Galilee, used to follow him, and minister unto him, —and many other women, who had come up with him unto Jerusalem.
42 Le soir étant venu, comme c’était la préparation, c’est-à-dire, la veille du sabbat,
And evening, already, having begun, since it was a preparation, that is, the eve of a Sabbath,
43 arriva Joseph d’Arimathée, conseiller de distinction, qui lui-même attendait aussi le royaume de Dieu. Il osa se rendre vers Pilate, pour demander le corps de Jésus.
Joseph of Arimathaea, a noble counsellor, who, also himself, was awaiting the kingdom of God, came; and, venturing, went in unto Pilate, and claimed the body of Jesus.
44 Pilate s’étonna qu’il fût mort si tôt; fit venir le centenier et lui demanda s’il était mort depuis longtemps.
But, Pilate, wondered whether, already, he was dead; and, calling near the centurion, questioned him—whether he had, already, died.
45 S’en étant assuré par le centenier, il donna le corps à Joseph.
And, getting to know from the centurion, he presented the corpse unto Joseph.
46 Et Joseph, ayant acheté un linceul, descendit Jésus de la croix, l’enveloppa du linceul, et le déposa dans un sépulcre taillé dans le roc. Puis il roula une pierre à l’entrée du sépulcre.
And, buying a fine Indian cloth, he took him down, and wrapped him about with the cloth, and laid him in a tomb, which had been hewn out of a rock, —and rolled near a stone upon the door of the tomb.
47 Marie de Magdala, et Marie, mère de Joses, regardaient où on le mettait.
Now, Mary the Magdalene, and Mary the mother of Joses, were viewing how he had been laid.
