Lévitique 22
1 L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2 Parle à Aaron et à ses fils, afin qu’ils s’abstiennent des choses saintes qui me sont consacrées par les enfants d’Israël, et qu’ils ne profanent point mon saint nom. Je suis l’Éternel.
Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and let them take heed concerning the holy things of the children of Israel, so they shall not profane my holy name in any of the things which they consecrate to me: I [am] the Lord.
3 Dis-leur: Tout homme parmi vos descendants et de votre race, qui s’approchera des choses saintes que consacrent à l’Éternel les enfants d’Israël, et qui aura sur lui quelque impureté, cet homme-là sera retranché de devant moi. Je suis l’Éternel.
Say to them, Every man throughout your generations, whoever of all your seed shall approach to the holy things, whatsoever the children of Israel shall consecrate to the Lord, while his uncleanness is upon him, that soul shall be cut off from me: I [am] the Lord your God.
4 Tout homme de la race d’Aaron, qui aura la lèpre ou une gonorrhée, ne mangera point des choses saintes jusqu’à ce qu’il soit pur. Il en sera de même pour celui qui touchera une personne souillée par le contact d’un cadavre, pour celui qui aura une pollution,
And the man of the seed of Aaron the priest, if he should have leprosy or issue of the reins, shall not eat of the holy things, until he be cleansed; and he that touches any uncleanness of a dead body, or the man whose seed of copulation shall have gone out from him,
5 pour celui qui touchera un reptile et en aura été souillé, ou un homme atteint d’une impureté quelconque et en aura été souillé.
or whosoever shall touch any unclean reptile, which will defile him, or [who shall touch] a man, whereby he shall defile him according to all his uncleanness:
6 Celui qui touchera ces choses sera impur jusqu’au soir; il ne mangera pas des choses saintes, mais il lavera son corps dans l’eau;
whatsoever soul shall touch them shall be unclean until evening; he shall not eat of the holy things, unless he bathe his body in water,
7 après le coucher du soleil, il sera pur, et il mangera ensuite des choses saintes, car c’est sa nourriture.
and the sun go down, and then he shall be clean; and then shall he eat of all the holy things, for they are his bread.
8 Il ne mangera point d’une bête morte ou déchirée, afin de ne pas se souiller par elle. Je suis l’Éternel.
He shall not eat that which dies of itself, or is taken of beasts, so that he should be polluted by them: I [am] the Lord.
9 Ils observeront mes commandements, de peur qu’ils ne portent la peine de leur péché et qu’ils ne meurent, pour avoir profané les choses saintes. Je suis l’Éternel, qui les sanctifie.
And they shall keep my ordinances, that they do not bear iniquity because of them, and die because of them, if they shall profane them: I [am] the Lord God that sanctifies them.
10 Aucun étranger ne mangera des choses saintes; celui qui demeure chez un sacrificateur et le mercenaire ne mangeront point des choses saintes.
And no stranger shall eat the holy things: one that sojourns with a priest, or a hireling, shall not eat the holy things.
11 Mais un esclave acheté par le sacrificateur à prix d’argent pourra en manger, de même que celui qui est né dans sa maison; ils mangeront de sa nourriture.
But if a priest should have a soul purchased for money, he shall eat of his bread; and they that are born in his house, they also shall eat of his bread.
12 La fille d’un sacrificateur, mariée à un étranger, ne mangera point des choses saintes offertes par élévation.
And if the daughter of a priest should marry a stranger, she shall not eat of the offerings of the sanctuary.
13 Mais la fille d’un sacrificateur qui sera veuve ou répudiée, sans avoir d’enfants, et qui retournera dans la maison de son père comme dans sa jeunesse, pourra manger de la nourriture de son père. Aucun étranger n’en mangera.
And if the daughter of priest should be a widow, or put away, and have no seed, she shall return to her father's house, as in her youth: she shall eat of her father's bread, but no stranger shall eat of it.
14 Si un homme mange involontairement d’une chose sainte, il donnera au sacrificateur la valeur de la chose sainte, en y ajoutant un cinquième.
And the man who shall ignorantly eat holy things, shall add the fifth part to it, and give the holy thing to the priest.
15 Les sacrificateurs ne profaneront point les choses saintes qui sont présentées par les enfants d’Israël, et qu’ils ont offertes par élévation à l’Éternel;
And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer to the Lord.
16 ils les chargeraient ainsi du péché dont ils se rendraient coupables en mangeant les choses saintes: car je suis l’Éternel, qui les sanctifie.
So should they bring upon themselves the iniquity of trespass in their eating their holy things: for I [am] the Lord that sanctifies them.
17 L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
18 Parle à Aaron et à ses fils, et à tous les enfants d’Israël, et tu leur diras: Tout homme de la maison d’Israël ou des étrangers en Israël, qui offrira un holocauste à l’Éternel, soit pour l’accomplissement d’un vœu, soit comme offrande volontaire,
Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the congregation of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Any man of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that abide among them in Israel, who shall offer his gifts according to all their confession and according to all their choice, whatsoever they may bring to the Lord for whole-burnt-offerings—
19 prendra un mâle sans défaut parmi les bœufs, les agneaux ou les chèvres, afin que sa victime soit agréée.
your free-will-offerings [shall] be males without blemish of the herds, or of the sheep, or of the goats.
20 Vous n’en offrirez aucune qui ait un défaut, car elle ne serait pas agréée.
They shall not bring to the Lord anything that has a blemish in it, for it shall not be acceptable for you.
21 Si un homme offre à l’Éternel du gros ou du menu bétail en sacrifice d’actions de grâces, soit pour l’accomplissement d’un vœu, soit comme offrande volontaire, la victime sera sans défaut, afin qu’elle soit agréée; il n’y aura en elle aucun défaut.
And whatsoever man shall offer a peace-offering to the Lord, discharging a vow, or in the way of free-will-offering, or an offering in your feasts, of the herds or of the sheep, it shall be without blemish for acceptance: there shall be no blemish in it.
22 Vous n’en offrirez point qui soit aveugle, estropiée, ou mutilée, qui ait des ulcères, la gale ou une dartre; vous n’en ferez point sur l’autel un sacrifice consumé par le feu devant l’Éternel.
One that is blind, or broken, or has its tongue cut out, or is troubled with warts, or has a malignant ulcer, or tetters, they shall not offer these to the Lord; neither shall ye offer any of them for a burnt-offering on the altar of the Lord.
23 Tu pourras sacrifier comme offrande volontaire un bœuf ou un agneau ayant un membre trop long ou trop court, mais il ne sera point agréé pour l’accomplissement d’un vœu.
And a calf or a sheep with the ears cut off, or that has lost its tail, thou shalt slay them for thyself; but they shall not be accepted for thy vow.
24 Vous n’offrirez point à l’Éternel un animal dont les testicules ont été froissés, écrasés, arrachés ou coupés; vous ne l’offrirez point en sacrifice dans votre pays.
That which has broken testicles, or is crushed or gelt or mutilated, —thou shalt not offer them to the Lord, neither shall ye sacrifice them upon your land.
25 Vous n’accepterez de l’étranger aucune de ces victimes, pour l’offrir comme aliment de votre Dieu; car elles sont mutilées, elles ont des défauts: elles ne seraient point agréées.
Neither shall ye offer the gifts of your God of all these things by the hand of a stranger, because there is corruption in them, a blemish in them: these shall not be accepted for you.
26 L’Éternel dit à Moïse:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
27 Un bœuf, un agneau ou une chèvre, quand il naîtra, restera sept jours avec sa mère; dès le huitième jour et les suivants, il sera agréé pour être offert à l’Éternel en sacrifice consumé par le feu.
As for a calf, or a sheep, or a goat, whenever it is born, then shall it be seven days under its mother; and on the eighth day and after they shall be accepted for sacrifices, a burnt-offering to the Lord.
28 Bœuf ou agneau, vous n’égorgerez pas un animal et son petit le même jour.
And a bullock and a ewe, it and its young, thou shalt not kill in one day.
29 Quand vous offrirez à l’Éternel un sacrifice d’actions de grâces, vous ferez en sorte qu’il soit agréé.
And if thou shouldest offer a sacrifice, a vow of rejoicing to the Lord, ye shall offer it so as to be accepted for you.
30 La victime sera mangée le jour même; vous n’en laisserez rien jusqu’au matin. Je suis l’Éternel.
In that same day it shall be eaten; ye shall not leave of the flesh till the morrow: I am the Lord.
31 Vous observerez mes commandements, et vous les mettrez en pratique. Je suis l’Éternel.
And ye shall keep my commandments and do them.
32 Vous ne profanerez point mon saint nom, afin que je sois sanctifié au milieu des enfants d’Israël. Je suis l’Éternel, qui vous sanctifie,
And ye shall not profane the name of the Holy One, and I will be sanctified in the midst of the children of Israel. I [am] the Lord that sanctifies you,
33 et qui vous ai fait sortir du pays d’Égypte pour être votre Dieu. Je suis l’Éternel.
who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I [am] the Lord.
