Ézéchiel 38
1 La parole de l’Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
And the word of the Lord was maad to me,
2 Fils de l’homme, tourne ta face vers Gog, au pays de Magog, Vers le prince de Rosch, de Méschec et de Tubal, Et prophétise contre lui!
and he seide, Thou, sone of man, Sette thi face ayens Gog, and ayens the lond of Magog, the prince of the heed of Mosoch and of Tubal; and profesie thou of hym.
3 Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Voici, j’en veux à toi, Gog, Prince de Rosch, de Méschec et de Tubal!
And thou schalt seie to hym, The Lord God seith these thingis, A! Gog, lo! Y to thee, prince of the heed of Mosoch and of Tubal;
4 Je t’entraînerai, et je mettrai une boucle à tes mâchoires; Je te ferai sortir, toi et toute ton armée, Chevaux et cavaliers, Tous vêtus magnifiquement, Troupe nombreuse portant le grand et le petit bouclier, Tous maniant l’épée;
and Y schal lede thee aboute, and Y schal sette a bridil in thi chekis, and Y schal leede out thee, and al thin oost, horsis, and horsmen, alle clothid with haburiouns, a greet multitude of men, takynge spere, and scheeld, and swerd.
5 Et avec eux ceux de Perse, d’Éthiopie et de Puth, Tous portant le bouclier et le casque;
Perseis, Ethiopiens, and Libiens with hem, alle ben araied with scheeldis and helmes.
6 Gomer et toutes ses troupes, La maison de Togarma, A l’extrémité du septentrion, Et toutes ses troupes, Peuples nombreux qui sont avec toi.
Gomer, and alle the cumpenyes of hym, the hous of Togorma, the sidis of the north, and al the strengthe therof, and many puplis ben with thee.
7 Prépare-toi, tiens-toi prêt, Toi, et toute ta multitude assemblée autour de toi! Sois leur chef!
Make redi, and araye thee, and al thi multitude which is gaderid to thee, and be thou in to comaundement to hem.
8 Après bien des jours, tu seras à leur tête; Dans la suite des années, tu marcheras contre le pays Dont les habitants, échappés à l’épée, Auront été rassemblés d’entre plusieurs peuples Sur les montagnes d’Israël longtemps désertes; Retirés du milieu des peuples, Ils seront tous en sécurité dans leurs demeures.
Aftir many daies thou schalt be visitid, in the laste of yeeris thou schalt come to the lond, that turnede ayen fro swerd, and was gaderid of many puplis, to the hillis of Israel that weren desert ful ofte; this was led out of puplis, and alle men dwellide tristili ther ynne.
9 Tu monteras, tu t’avanceras comme une tempête, Tu seras comme une nuée qui va couvrir le pays, Toi et toutes tes troupes, et les nombreux peuples avec toi.
Forsothe thou schalt stie, and schalt come as a tempest, and as a cloude, for to hile the lond, thou, and alle thi cumpanyes, and many puplis with thee.
10 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: En ce jour-là, des pensées s’élèveront dans ton cœur, Et tu formeras de mauvais desseins.
The Lord God seith these thingis, In that dai wordis schulen stie on thin herte, and thou schalt thenke the worste thouyt;
11 Tu diras: Je monterai contre un pays ouvert, Je fondrai sur des hommes tranquilles, En sécurité dans leurs demeures, Tous dans des habitations sans murailles, Et n’ayant ni verrous ni portes;
and schalt seie, Y schal stie to the lond with out wal, and Y schal come to hem that resten and dwellen sikirli; alle these dwellen with out wal, barris and yatis ben not to hem;
12 J’irai faire du butin et me livrer au pillage, Porter la main sur des ruines maintenant habitées, Sur un peuple recueilli du milieu des nations, Ayant des troupeaux et des propriétés, Et occupant les lieux élevés du pays.
that thou rauysche spuylis, and asaile prei; that thou brynge in thin hond on hem that weren forsakun, and afterward restorid, and on the puple which is gaderid of hethene men, that bigan to welde, and to be enhabitere of the nawle of erthe.
13 Séba et Dedan, les marchands de Tarsis, Et tous leurs lionceaux, te diront: Viens-tu pour faire du butin? Est-ce pour piller que tu as rassemblé ta multitude, Pour emporter de l’argent et de l’or, Pour prendre des troupeaux et des biens, Pour faire un grand butin?
Saba, and Dedan, and the marchauntis of Tharsis, and alle the liouns therof schulen seie to thee, Whether thou comest to take spuylis? Lo! to rauysche prey thou hast gaderid thi multitude, that thou take awei gold and siluer, and do awei purtenaunce of houshold and catel, and that thou rauysche preyes with out noumbre.
14 C’est pourquoi prophétise, fils de l’homme, et dis à Gog: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Oui, le jour où mon peuple d’Israël vivra en sécurité, Tu le sauras.
Therfor profesie thou, sone of man; and thou schalt seie to Gog, The Lord God seith these thingis, Whether not in that dai, whanne my puple Israel schal dwelle tristili, thou schalt wite;
15 Alors tu partiras de ton pays, des extrémités du septentrion, Toi et de nombreux peuples avec toi, Tous montés sur des chevaux, Une grande multitude, une armée puissante.
and schalt come fro thi place, fro the sidis of the north, thou, and many puplis with thee, alle stieris of horsis, a greet cumpany, and an huge oost;
16 Tu t’avanceras contre mon peuple d’Israël, Comme une nuée qui va couvrir le pays. Dans la suite des jours, je te ferai marcher contre mon pays, Afin que les nations me connaissent, Quand je serai sanctifié par toi sous leurs yeux, ô Gog!
and thou as a cloude schalt stie on my puple Israel, that thou hile the erthe? Thou schalt be in the laste daies, and Y schal brynge thee on my lond, that my folkis wite, whanne Y schal be halewid in thee, thou Gog, bifor the iyen of them.
17 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Est-ce toi de qui j’ai parlé jadis Par mes serviteurs les prophètes d’Israël, Qui ont prophétisé alors, pendant des années, Que je t’amènerais contre eux?
The Lord God seith these thingis, Therfor thou art he of whom Y spak in elde daies, in the hond of my seruauntis, profetis of Israel, that profesieden in the daies of tho tymes, that Y schulde bringe thee on hem.
18 En ce jour-là, le jour où Gog marchera contre la terre d’Israël, Dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel, La fureur me montera dans les narines.
And it schal be, in that dai, in the dai of the comyng of Gog on the lond of Israel, seith the Lord God, myn indignacioun schal stie in my strong veniaunce, and in my feruour;
19 Je le déclare, dans ma jalousie et dans le feu de ma colère, En ce jour-là, il y aura un grand tumulte Dans le pays d’Israël.
Y spak in the fier of my wraththe.
20 Les poissons de la mer et les oiseaux du ciel trembleront devant moi, Et les bêtes des champs et tous les reptiles qui rampent sur la terre, Et tous les hommes qui sont à la surface de la terre; Les montagnes seront renversées, Les parois des rochers s’écrouleront, Et toutes les murailles tomberont par terre.
For in that dai schal be grete mouyng on the lond of Israel; and fischis of the see, and beestis of erthe, and briddis of the eir, and ech crepynge beeste which is mouyd on erthe, and alle men that ben on the face of erthe, schulen be mouyd fro my face; and hillis schulen be vndurturned, and heggis schulen falle doun, and ech wal schal falle doun in to erthe.
21 J’appellerai l’épée contre lui sur toutes mes montagnes, Dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel; L’épée de chacun se tournera contre son frère.
And Y schal clepe togidere a swerd ayens hym in alle myn hillis, seith the Lord God; the swerd of ech man schal be dressid ayens his brother.
22 J’exercerai mes jugements contre lui par la peste et par le sang, Par une pluie violente et par des pierres de grêle; Je ferai pleuvoir le feu et le soufre sur lui et sur ses troupes, Et sur les peuples nombreux qui seront avec lui.
And thanne Y schal deme hym bi pestilence, and blood, and greet reyn, and bi greet stoonys; Y schal reyn fier and brymstoon on hym, and on his oost, and on many puplis that ben with hym.
23 Je manifesterai ma grandeur et ma sainteté, Je me ferai connaître aux yeux de la multitude des nations, Et elles sauront que je suis l’Éternel.
And Y schal be magnefied, and Y shal be halewid, and Y shal be knowun bifore the iyen of many folkis; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord.
