1 Chroniques 8
1 Benjamin engendra Béla, son premier-né, Aschbel le second, Achrach le troisième,
And Benjamin begat Bela' his first-born, Ashbel the second, and Achrach the third,
2 Nocha le quatrième, et Rapha le cinquième.
Nochah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
3 Les fils de Béla furent: Addar, Guéra, Abihud,
And Bela' had sons, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,
4 Abischua, Naaman, Achoach,
And Abishua', and Na'aman, and Achoach,
5 Guéra, Schephuphan et Huram.
And Gera, and Shephuphan, and Churam.
6 Voici les fils d’Échud, qui étaient chefs de famille parmi les habitants de Guéba, et qui les transportèrent à Manachath:
And these are the sons of Echud: these are the heads of the family divisions of the inhabitants of Geba', who were exiled to Manachath;
7 Naaman, Achija et Guéra. Guéra, qui les transporta, engendra Uzza et Achichud.
Both Na'aman, and Achiyah; and Gera, —he exiled them, and begat 'Uzza, and Achichud.
8 Schacharaïm eut des enfants au pays de Moab, après qu’il eut renvoyé Huschim et Baara, ses femmes.
And Shacharayim begat children in the fields of Moab, after he had sent them away—Chushim and Ba'ara his wives.
9 Il eut de Hodesch, sa femme: Jobab, Tsibja, Méscha, Malcam,
And he begat of Chodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibya and Mesha, and Malkam,
10 Jeuts, Schocja et Mirma. Ce sont là ses fils, chefs de famille.
And Je'uz, and Shabyah, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of family divisions.
11 Il eut de Huschim: Abithub et Elpaal.
And of Chushim he begat Abitub, and Elpa'al.
12 Fils d’Elpaal: Éber, Mischeam, et Schémer, qui bâtit Ono, Lod et les villes de son ressort.
And the sons of Elpa'al: 'Eber, and Mish'am, and Shemer, who built Ono, and Lod, with its villages;
13 Beria et Schéma, qui étaient chefs de famille parmi les habitants d’Ajalon, mirent en fuite les habitants de Gath.
And Beri'ah, and Shema', who were the heads of the family divisions of the inhabitants of Ayalon; these were those who drove away the inhabitants of Gath;
14 Achjo, Schaschak, Jerémoth,
And Achyo, Shashak, and Jeremoth.
15 Zebadja, Arad, Éder,
And Zebadyah, and 'Arad, and 'Eder,
16 Micaël, Jischpha et Jocha étaient fils de Beria.
And Michael, and Yishpah, and Jocha, the sons of Beri'ah;
17 Zebadja, Meschullam, Hizki, Héber,
And Zebadyah, and Meshullam, and Chiski, and Cheber,
18 Jischmeraï, Jizlia et Jobab étaient fils d’Elpaal.
And Yishmerai, and Yizliah, and Jobab, the sons of Elpa'al:
19 Jakim, Zicri, Zabdi,
And Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi,
20 Éliénaï, Tsilthaï, Éliel,
And Eli'enai, and Zillethai, and Eliel,
21 Adaja, Beraja et Schimrath étaient fils de Schimeï.
And 'Adayah, and Berayah, and Shimrath, the sons of Shim'i:
22 Jischpan, Éber, Éliel,
And Yishpan, and 'Eber, and Eliel,
23 Abdon, Zicri, Hanan,
And 'Abdon, and Zichri, and Chanan,
24 Hanania, Élam, Anthothija,
And Chananyah, and 'Elam, and 'Anthothiyah,
25 Jiphdeja et Penuel étaient fils de Schaschak.
And Yiphdeyah, and Penuel, the sons of Shashak:
26 Schamscheraï, Schecharia, Athalia,
And Shamsherai, and Shecharyah, and Athalyah,
27 Jaaréschia, Élija et Zicri étaient fils de Jerocham.
And Ja'areshyah, and Eliyah, and Zichri, the sons of Jerocham.
28 Ce sont là des chefs de famille, chefs selon leurs générations. Ils habitaient à Jérusalem.
These were the heads of the family divisions, by their generations, chief men. These dwelt in Jerusalem.
29 Le père de Gabaon habitait à Gabaon, et le nom de sa femme était Maaca.
And at Gib'on dwelt the father of Gib'on, whose wife's name was Ma'achah;
30 Abdon, son fils premier-né, puis Tsur, Kis, Baal, Nadab,
And his first-born son 'Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Ba'al, and Nadab,
31 Guedor, Achjo, et Zéker.
And Gedor, and Achyo, and Zecher.
32 Mikloth engendra Schimea. Ils habitaient aussi à Jérusalem près de leurs frères, avec leurs frères.
And Mikloth begat Shimah. And these also dwelt alongside of their brethren in Jerusalem, with their brethren.
33 Ner engendra Kis; Kis engendra Saül; Saül engendra Jonathan, Malki-Schua, Abinadab et Eschbaal.
And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jehonathan and Malkishua', and Abinadab, and Eshba'al.
34 Fils de Jonathan: Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal engendra Michée.
And the son of Jehonathan was Merib-ba'al; and Merib-ba'al begat Michah.
35 Fils de Michée: Pithon, Mélec, Thaeréa et Achaz.
And the sons of Michah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea', and Achaz.
36 Achaz engendra Jehoadda; Jehoadda engendra Alémeth, Azmaveth et Zimri; Zimri engendra Motsa;
And Achaz begat Jeho'addah; and Jeho'addah begat 'Alemeth, and 'Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;
37 Motsa engendra Binea. Rapha, son fils; Éleasa, son fils; Atsel, son fils;
And Moza begat Bin'ah; Rapha was his son, El'assah his son, Azel his son.
38 Atsel eut six fils, dont voici les noms: Azrikam, Bocru, Ismaël, Schearia, Abdias et Hanan. Tous ceux-là étaient fils d’Atsel.
And Azel had six sons, and these are their names, 'Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and She'aryah, and 'Obadiah, and Chanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
39 Fils d’Eschek, son frère: Ulam, son premier-né, Jeusch le second, et Éliphéleth le troisième.
And the sons of 'Eshek his brother were, Ulam his first-born, Je'ush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40 Les fils d’Ulam furent de vaillants hommes, tirant de l’arc; et ils eurent beaucoup de fils et de petits-fils, cent cinquante. Tous ceux-là sont des fils de Benjamin.
And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor, who drew the bow, and had many sons, and sons' sons, one hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.
