Psaumes 96
1 Quand le temple fut rebâti après la captivité, cantique de David. Chantez au Seigneur un cantique nouveau; que toute la terre chante au Seigneur!
O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
2 Chantez au Seigneur; bénissez son nom; publiez avec joie son salut de jour en jour.
Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
3 Publiez aux Gentils sa gloire, et ses merveilles à tous les peuples,
Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4 Car le Seigneur est grand et digne de louanges infinies; il est plus terrible que tous les dieux.
For the LORD [is] great, and greatly to be praised: he [is] to be feared above all gods.
5 Car tous les dieux des Gentils sont des démons; mais le Seigneur a créé les cieux.
For all the gods of the nations [are] idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
6 Louanges et beauté sont en sa présence; la sainteté et la majesté sont en son sanctuaire.
Honour and majesty [are] before him: strength and beauty [are] in his sanctuary.
7 Tribus des Gentils, rendez au Seigneur, rendez à Dieu gloire et honneur.
Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
8 Rendez gloire au Seigneur et à son nom; prenez des victimes et entrez dans ses parvis.
Give unto the LORD the glory [due unto] his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9 Adorez le Seigneur en son temple saint, et que devant sa face tremble toute la terre.
O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
10 Dites aux Gentils: Le Seigneur règne, car il a affermi le globe de la terre, et il ne sera plus ébranlé; il jugera les peuples avec droiture.
Say among the heathen [that] the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
11 Que les cieux se réjouissent et que la terre tressaille d'allégresse; que la mer en sa plénitude soit émue.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
12 Les champs et tout ce qu'ils renferment se réjouiront; alors tressailliront les arbres de la forêt
Let the field be joyful, and all that [is] therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13 Devant la face du Seigneur; car il vient, car il vient juger la terre. Il jugera le monde selon sa justice, et les peuples selon sa vérité.
Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
