Psaumes 81
1 Jusqu'à la Fin, psaume d'Asaph, sur les pressoirs. Réjouissez-vous en Dieu notre champion; criez joyeusement vers le Dieu de Jacob.
To the chief Musician. Upon the Gittith. [A Psalm] of Asaph. Sing ye joyously unto God our strength, shout aloud unto the God of Jacob;
2 Prenez un psaume, et faites résonner le tambour, la harpe mélodieuse et la cithare.
Raise a song, and sound the tambour, the pleasant harp with the lute.
3 Sonnez de la trompette à la nouvelle lune, au jour glorieux de notre fête.
Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the set time, on our feast day:
4 Car tel est le précepte en Israël, tel est le commandement du Dieu de Jacob.
For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob;
5 Il a mis ce témoignage en Joseph, quand celui-ci sortit de la terre d'Egypte; il entendit une langue qu'il ne connaissait pas.
He ordained it in Joseph [for] a testimony, when he went forth over the land of Egypt, [where] I heard a language that I knew not.
6 Il a ôté le fardeau des épaules de son peuple, quand ses mains tressaient des corbeilles, disant:
I removed his shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from the basket.
7 Tu m'as invoqué en ton affliction, et je t'ai délivré; je t'ai entendu dans l'obscurité d'une tempête; je t'ai éprouvé dans l'eau de la contradiction.
Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder; I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. (Selah)
8 Ecoute, mon peuple; et je te parlerai, Israël, et je te prendrai à témoin. Si tu m'écoutes,
Hear, my people, and I will testify unto thee; O Israel, if thou wouldest hearken unto me!
9 Il n'y aura point chez toi de Dieu nouveau, et tu n'adoreras point de Dieu étranger.
There shall no strange god be in thee, neither shalt thou worship any foreign god.
10 Car je suis le Seigneur ton Dieu, qui t'ai tiré de la terre d'Egypte; ouvre la bouche, et je la remplirai.
I am Jehovah thy God, that brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 Et mon peuple n'a point écouté ma voix, et Israël n'a point fait attention à moi.
But my people hearkened not to my voice, and Israel would none of me.
12 Et je les ai fait partir, selon les désirs de leurs cœurs; ils chemineront en leurs désirs.
So I gave them up unto their own hearts' stubbornness: they walked after their own counsels.
13 Si mon peuple m'avait écouté, si Israël avait marché dans mes voies,
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, that Israel had walked in my ways!
14 Certes j'eusse humilié jusqu'au néant leurs ennemis; j'eusse mis la main sur leurs oppresseurs.
I would soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
15 Les ennemis du Seigneur lui ont menti, et il y aura temps pour eux dans l'éternité.
The haters of Jehovah would have come cringing unto him; but their time would have been for ever.
16 Et il les avait nourris de la fleur du froment, et les avait rassasiés du miel des rochers.
And he would have fed them with the finest of wheat; yea, with honey out of the rock would I have satisfied thee.
