Psaumes 80
1 Jusqu'à la Fin, chant en répons; témoignage d'Asaph, Psaume au sujet de l'Assyrien. Ô pasteur d'Israël sois attentif, toi qui conduis Joseph comme un troupeau de brebis. Ô toi qui es assis sur les chérubins, apparais.
To the chief Musician. On Shoshannim-Eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that sittest [between] the cherubim, shine forth.
2 Devant Ephraïm, et Benjamin et Manassé; réveille ta puissance, et viens pour nous secourir.
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, and come to our deliverance.
3 Dieu, convertis-nous et montre-nous ta face et nous serons sauvés.
O God, restore us; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
4 Seigneur, Dieu des armées, jusques à quand seras-tu courroucé de la prière de ton serviteur?
Jehovah, God of hosts, how long will thine anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
5 Nous donneras-tu à manger un pain de larmes, et nous feras-tu boire des larmes à pleine mesure?
Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure:
6 Tu nous as mis en contradiction avec nos voisins, et nos ennemis se sont moqués de nous.
Thou hast made us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies mock among themselves.
7 Seigneur, Dieu des armées, convertis-nous et montre-nous ta face, et nous serons sauvés.
Restore us, O God of hosts; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
8 Tu as transplanté une vigne de l'Égypte; tu as chassé les Gentils, et tu l'as plantée sur leur terre.
Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt; thou didst cast out the nations, and plant it:
9 Tu as fait un chemin devant elle; tu as fait germer ses racines, et la terre en a été remplie.
Thou preparedst space before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land;
10 Son ombre a couvert les montagnes, et ses arbustes ont surpassé les cèdres de Dieu.
The mountains were covered with its shadow, and the branches thereof were [like] cedars of God;
11 Elle a étendu des ceps jusqu'à la mer et des surgeons jusqu'au fleuve.
It sent out its boughs unto the sea, and its shoots unto the river.
12 Pourquoi donc as-tu détruit sa clôture, si bien que tous ceux qui passent sur la voie la vendangent?
Why hast thou broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way do pluck it?
13 Le sanglier de la forêt l'a dévastée, et une bête solitaire y est venue paître.
The boar out of the forest doth waste it, and the beast of the field doth feed off it.
14 Dieu des armées, viens à nous; regarde du ciel; et vois; et visite cette vigne.
O God of hosts, return, we beseech thee; look down from the heavens, and behold, and visit this vine;
15 Et restaure-la, elle que ta droite a plantée; aie la main sur le fils de l'homme, que pour toi-même tu as confirmé.
Even the stock which thy right hand hath planted, and the young plant thou madest strong for thyself.
16 Elle a été brûlée par le feu et arrachée; et à cause du blâme de ta face, ton peuple périra.
It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
17 Que ta main soit sur l'homme de ta droite et sur le fils de l'homme, que toi-même tu as confirmé.
Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
18 Et nous ne nous éloignerons point de toi; tu nous vivifieras; et nous invoquerons ton nom.
So will we not go back from thee. Revive us, and we will call upon thy name.
19 Seigneur, Dieu des armées, convertis-nous et montre-nous ta face, et nous serons sauvés.
Restore us, O Jehovah, God of hosts; cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
