Psaumes 75
1 Jusqu'à la Fin. Ne détruis pas; psaume et cantique d'Asaph, Nous te rendrons grâces, ô Dieu, nous te rendrons grâces, et nous invoquerons ton nom. Je raconterai toutes tes merveilles.
For the end, Destroy not, a Psalm of a Song for Asaph. We will give thanks to thee, O God, we will give thanks, and call upon thy name: I will declare all thy wonderful works.
2 Quand j'aurai pris mon temps, je jugerai avec droiture.
When I shall take a set time, I will judge righteously.
3 La terre s'est liquéfiée avec tous ceux qui l'habitent, et moi j'ai raffermi ses colonnes.
The earth is dissolved, and all that dwell in it: I have strengthened its pillars. (Pause)
4 J'ai dit aux pervers: Gardez-vous de faire le mal; et aux pécheurs: Ne levez pas le front.
I said unto the transgressors, Do not transgress; and to the sinners, Lift not up the horn.
5 Ne levez pas le front avec orgueil; ne parlez pas injustement contre Dieu.
Lift not up your horn on high; speak not unrighteousness against God.
6 Car le secours ne viendra ni de l'Orient, ni du Couchant, ni des montagnes du désert.
For [good comes] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert mountains.
7 Car Dieu seul est le juge: il humilie celui-ci, il exalte celui-là.
For God is the judge; he puts down one, and raises up another.
8 Il y a dans la main du Seigneur un calice plein de vin sans mélange. Il l'incline çà et là, mais jamais il ne l'épuise jusqu'à la lie; tous les pécheurs de la terre en boiront.
For [there is] a cup in the hand of the Lord, full of unmingled wine; and he has turned [it] from side to side, but its dregs have not been wholly poured out; all the sinners of the earth shall drink [them].
9 Pour moi, je tressaillirai d'une allégresse perpétuelle; je chanterai au Dieu de Jacob.
But I will exult for ever: I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 Et je briserai le front de tous les pécheurs, et le front des justes sera exalté.
And I will break all the horns of sinners; but the horns of the righteous one shall be exalted.
