Psaumes 64
1 Jusqu'à la Fin, psaume de David, Dieu, exauce ma prière pendant que je m'adresse à toi; délivre mon âme de la crainte de l'ennemi.
God, listen to me as I tell you the things that I am worried about. I am afraid of my enemies; so save/rescue me from them.
2 Tu m'as protégé contre la troupe des méchants, contre la multitude des ouvriers d'iniquité.
Protect me from what wicked men are planning to do to me; protect me from that gang of men who do what is evil.
3 Ils ont aiguisé leurs langues comme des épées; ils ont tendu leur arc, qui est chose amère,
The hostile things they say [MTY] are like [SIM] [sharp] swords; their cruel words are like [SIM] arrows.
4 Pour percer en secret l'innocent de leurs flèches.
Without being afraid, they [lie about people and slander people] who have not done what is wrong, like someone who suddenly jumps up from where he is hiding and shoots [arrows] at his enemy [MET].
5 Ils l'atteindront soudain, et n'auront aucune crainte. Ils se sont affermis en leurs desseins; ils se sont concertés pour cacher leurs pièges; ils ont dit: Qui nous verra?
They encourage each other about doing the evil things that they are planning to do; they talk [with each other] about where they can set traps to catch people, and they think, “No one [RHQ] will see what we are doing,
6 Ils ont cherché des iniquités; mais ils ont défailli en leurs recherches. L'homme descendra dans les profondeurs de son cœur.
because we have planned very well the crime that we are going to commit!” No one can fully understand what people can think and plan!
7 Mais Dieu sera glorifié; leurs blessures sont comme celles des traits d'un enfant.
But [it will be as though] God will shoot his arrows at them, and suddenly they will be wounded.
8 Leurs langues avaient méprisé le Seigneur; tous ceux qui les ont vus ont été troublés.
Because of what they say [MTY], he will get rid of them, and then everyone who sees [what has happened to] them will shake their heads [to ridicule them].
9 Et tout homme a eu crainte. Et ils ont annoncé les œuvres du Seigneur; et ils ont eu l'intelligence de ses actes.
And then everyone will be afraid [to sin because of what might happen to them, also]; they will tell others what God has done, and they themselves will think much about it.
10 Le juste se réjouira dans le Seigneur, et il espérera en lui, et tous les cœurs droits recevront des louanges.
Righteous people should rejoice because of what Yahweh [has done]; they should go to him to (find protection/be safe); and all those who are godly will praise him.
