Psaumes 5
1 Jusqu'à la Fin, un psaume de David, au sujet de l'héritière. Seigneur, recueille mes paroles en ton oreille, sois attentif à mes cris.
“To the chief musician upon Nechiloth, a psalm of David.” To my words give ear, O Lord, have regard to my mediation.
2 Écoute la voix de ma prière, ô mon Roi, ô mon Dieu! Car je t'invoquerai, Seigneur;
Listen unto the voice of my loud cry, my King, and my God, when unto thee I pray.
3 Dès l'aurore tu entendras ma voix. Dès l'aurore je me tiendrai devant toi, et je te verrai;
O Lord! in the morning do thou hear my voice: in the morning will I set in order [my prayer] before thee, and 1ook up with hope.
4 Car tu n'es point un Dieu qui veuille l'iniquité. Le méchant n'habitera point auprès de toi,
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: evil cannot abide with thee.
5 Les pécheurs ne resteront point sous tes yeux. Seigneur, tu hais tous ceux qui font le mal,
The arrogant cannot stand up before thy eyes: thou hatest all workers of wickedness.
6 Tu perds tous ceux qui disent le mensonge. Le Seigneur aura en abomination l'homme de sang et le trompeur.
Thou wilt destroy those that speak lies: the man of blood and deceit the Lord abhorreth.
7 Pour moi, dans l'abondance de ta miséricorde, j'entrerai en ta maison; j'adorerai en ton sanctuaire, pénétré de ta crainte.
But as for me—in the abundance of thy kindness will I enter thy house: I will bow myself down before thy holy temple in the fear of thee.
8 Seigneur, guide-moi en ta justice, à cause de mes ennemis; rends droite ma voie en ta présence.
O Lord, lead me in thy righteousness because of those that regard me enviously; make straight before me thy way.
9 Car il n'est point de vérité en leur bouche; leur cœur n'est que vanité. Leur gosier est un sépulcre ouvert, et avec leurs langues ils ont trompé.
For there is not in their mouth any sincerity; their inward part is full of deception; an open sepulchre is their throat: they flatter with their tongue.
10 Juge-les, ô mon Dieu! Que leurs desseins soient renversés; à cause de la multitude de leurs impiétés, repousse-les, car ils t'ont exaspéré, Seigneur.
Condemn them, O God: let them fall through their own counsels; for the multitude of their transgressions cast them down; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 Mais ils se réjouiront en toi, tous ceux qui mettent en toi leur espérance; ils tressailliront à jamais d'allégresse, et tu habiteras en eux. Et tous ceux qui aiment ton nom se glorifieront en toi;
Then will rejoice all those that put their trust in thee; for ever will they shout for joy, when thou protectest them: and then will exult in thee those that love thy name.
12 Car tu béniras le juste. Seigneur, tu nous as couronnés de ta bonté comme d'un bouclier.
For thou wilt bless the righteous, O Lord; as with a shield wilt thou encompass him with favor.
