Psaumes 25
1 Psaume de David. Vers toi, Seigneur, j'ai élevé mon âme.
Unto the end, a psalm for David. To thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul.
2 O mon Dieu, je me suis confié en toi: que je ne sois pas confondu! Que mes ennemis ne se moquent point de moi;
In thee, O my God, I put my trust; let me not be ashamed.
3 Car nul de ceux qui t'attendent ne sera confondu. Soient confondus tous ceux qui, dans leur vanité, agissent contre la justice.
Neither let my enemies laugh at me: for none of them that wait on thee shall be confounded.
4 Montre-moi tes voies, fais-moi connaître tes sentiers.
Let all them be confounded that act unjust things without cause. Shew, O Lord, thy ways to me, and teach me thy paths.
5 Conduis-moi dans ta vérité, et instruis-moi; car tu es, ô Dieu, mon Sauveur, et je t'ai attendu tout le jour.
Direct me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art God my Saviour; and on thee have I waited all the day long.
6 Seigneur, souviens-toi de ta compassion et de tes miséricordes; car tes miséricordes sont de toute éternité.
Remember, O Lord, thy bowels of compassion; and thy mercies that are from the beginning of the world.
7 Ne te rappelle pas les péchés de ma jeunesse ni mes inadvertances; Seigneur, souviens-toi de moi en ta miséricorde, et à cause de ta bonté.
The sins of my youth and my ignorances do not remember. According to thy mercy remember thou me: for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.
8 Le Seigneur est doux, il est droit; aussi, par sa loi, il remettra dans la voie les pécheurs.
The Lord is sweet and righteous: therefore he will give a law to sinners in the way.
9 Il guidera les doux dans la justice; il enseignera ses voies aux doux.
He will guide the mild in judgment: he will teach the meek his ways.
10 Toutes les voies du Seigneur sont miséricorde et vérité, pour ceux qui cherchent son alliance et ses témoignages.
All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth, to them that seek after his covenant and his testimonies.
11 Pour l'amour de ton nom, Seigneur, tu me pardonneras mon péché, parce qu'il est grand.
For thy name’s sake, O Lord, thou wilt pardon my sin: for it is great.
12 Quel est l'homme qui craint le Seigneur? Le Seigneur lui prescrira une loi dans la voie que lui-même a choisie.
Who is the man that feareth the Lord? He hath appointed him a law in the way he hath chosen.
13 Son âme résidera au milieu des biens, et sa race héritera de toute la terre.
His soul shall dwell in good things: and his seed shall inherit the land.
14 Le Seigneur est la force de ceux qui le craignent, [et le nom du Seigneur est pour ceux qui le craignent], et son alliance existe pour leur être montrée.
The Lord is a firmament to them that fear him: and his covenant shall be made manifest to them.
15 Mes yeux seront toujours tournés vers le Seigneur, parce que lui-même retirera mes pieds des filets.
My eyes are ever towards the Lord: for he shall pluck my feet out of the snare.
16 Regarde-moi et aie pitié de moi, car je suis seul et pauvre.
Look thou upon me, and have mercy on me; for I am alone and poor.
17 Les afflictions de mon cœur se sont multipliées; délivre-moi de ma détresse.
The troubles of my heart are multiplied: deliver me from my necessities.
18 Vois mon humiliation et ma douleur, et remets-moi tous mes péchés.
See my abjection and my labour; and forgive me all my sins.
19 Vois mes ennemis, comme ils se sont multipliés, et comme ils m'ont haï d'une haine injuste.
Consider my enemies for they are multiplied, and have hated me with an unjust hatred.
20 Garde mon âme et délivre-moi; que je ne sois point confondu, car j'ai espéré en toi.
Keep thou my soul, and deliver me: I shall not be ashamed, for I have hoped in thee.
21 Les innocents et les cœurs droits me sont attachés, Seigneur, parce que je t'ai attendu.
The innocent and the upright have adhered to me: because I have waited on thee.
22 O mon Dieu, délivre Israël de toutes ses afflictions.
Deliver Israel, O God, from all his tribulations.
