Psaumes 23

1 Psaume de David. Le Seigneur est mon pasteur, et je ne manquerai de rien.

A psalm for David. The Lord ruleth me: and I shall want nothing.

2 Il m'a fait demeurer en un gras pâturage; il m'a nourri d'une eau vivifiante.

He hath set me in a place of pasture. He hath brought me up, on the water of refreshment:

3 Il a converti mon âme; il m'a conduit dans les voies de la justice pour la gloire de son nom.

He hath converted my soul. He hath led me on the paths of justice, for his own name’s sake.

4 Lors même que je cheminerais au milieu des ombres de la mort, je ne craindrais aucun mal, parce que tu es avec moi. Ta houlette et ton bâton m'ont rassuré.

For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me.

5 Tu as préparé devant moi une table, afin que je résiste à ceux qui m'opprimaient. Tu as oint ma tête avec de l'huile; et ton calice enivrant, qu'il est délicieux!

Thou hast prepared a table before me against them that afflict me. Thou hast anointed my head with oil; and my chalice which inebriateth me, how goodly is it!

6 Et ta miséricorde me suivra tous les jours de ma vie; et ma demeure sera la maison du Seigneur dans toute la durée des jours.

And thy mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And that I may dwell in the house of the Lord unto length of days.
