Psaumes 145
1 Louange, de David. Je t'exalterai, ô mon Dieu, ô mon Roi, et je bénirai ton nom dans les siècles, et dans les siècles des siècles.
“A hymn of praise by David.” I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
2 Chaque jour je te bénirai et je louerai ton nom dans les siècles, et dans les siècles des siècles.
Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
3 Le Seigneur est grand et digne de louanges infinies; à sa grandeur il n'est point de limite.
Great is the Lord, and greatly praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
4 Les générations des générations loueront tes œuvres; elles proclameront ta puissance.
One generation shall praise thy works to the other, and thy mighty acts shall they declare.
5 Elles diront la majesté de ta sainteté, et raconteront tes merveilles.
On the majestic glory of thy excellence, and on thy wondrous deeds will I meditate.
6 Elles diront la force de tes épouvantements; elles raconteront ta grandeur.
And of the might of thy terrible acts shall men converse: and thy greatness will I relate.
7 Elles rappelleront avec effusion le souvenir de ton inépuisable bonté, et se réjouiront de ta justice.
The memorial of thy abundant goodness shall they loudly proclaim, and they shall sing joyfully of thy righteousness.
8 Le Seigneur est compatissant et miséricordieux; il est longanime et plein de miséricorde.
Gracious and merciful is the Lord, long-suffering, and great in kindness.
9 Le Seigneur est doux pour ceux qui l'attendent, et ses miséricordes sont encore au-dessus de toutes ses œuvres.
The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.
10 Seigneur, que toutes tes œuvres te louent, et que tes saints te bénissent.
All thy works shall thank thee, O Lord; and thy pious servants shall bless thee.
11 Qu'ils disent la gloire de ton royaume; qu'ils parlent de ta domination;
Of the glory of thy kingdom shall they converse, and of thy might shall they speak:
12 Pour faire connaître aux fils des hommes ta puissance et la majesté glorieuse de ta royauté.
To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
13 Ton royaume est le royaume de tous les siècles, et ta domination va de génération en génération; le Seigneur est fidèle en ses paroles; et saint en toutes ses œuvres.
Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all eternities, and thy dominion [subsisteth] throughout all generations.
14 Le Seigneur affermit ceux qui tombent; il relève ceux qui ont été brisés.
The Lord upholdeth all who are falling, and raiseth up all those who are bowed down.
15 Les yeux de tous espèrent en toi, et tu leur donne la nourriture en temps opportun.
The eyes of all wait hopefully upon thee, and thou givest them their food in its due season.
16 Tu ouvres les mains, et tu remplis de bénédiction tout être animé.
Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17 Le Seigneur est juste en toutes ses voies, et saint en toutes ses œuvres.
Righteous is the Lord in all his ways, and beneficent in all his works.
18 Le Seigneur est proche de ceux qui l'invoquent, de tous ceux qui l'invoquent en vérité.
The Lord is nigh unto all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19 Il fera la volonté de ceux qui le craignent, et il exaucera leurs prières, et il les sauvera.
The desire of those who fear him will he fulfill, and their cry will he hear, and save them.
20 Le Seigneur garde tous ceux qui l'aiment, et il exterminera tous les pécheurs.
The Lord preserveth all those who love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.
21 Que ma bouche dise les louanges du Seigneur, et que toute chair bénisse son saint nom dans les siècles, et dans les siècles des siècles.
The praise of the Lord shall my mouth speak: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
