Psaumes 130

1 En Jérusalem. Des profondeurs de l'abîme, j'ai crié vers toi, Seigneur.

A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths, have I cried unto thee, O Yahweh.

2 Seigneur, écoute ma voix; que ton oreille soit attentive à la voix de ma prière.

O My Lord! hearken thou unto my voice, —Let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications,

3 Si tu regardes nos iniquités, Seigneur, Seigneur, qui soutiendra ton regard?

If, iniquities, thou shouldest mark, O Yah, O My Lord, who could stand?

4 Car la miséricorde est en toi; à cause de ton nom, je t'ai attendu, Seigneur. Mon âme a mis son attente en ta parole.

But, with thee, is forgiveness, that thou mayest be revered.

5 Mon âme a espéré dans le Seigneur.

I have waited for Yahweh, My soul hath waited for his word;

6 Que depuis la veille du matin jusqu'à la nuit, Israël espère dans le Seigneur.

I have hoped, O my soul, for My Lord, more than they who watch for the morning, who watch for the morning.

7 Car la miséricorde est dans le Seigneur, et une abondante rédemption est en lui.

Wait, O Israel, for Yahweh, —for, with Yahweh, is lovingkindness, and there aboundeth with him—redemption.

8 Et c'est lui qui rachètera Israël de toutes ses iniquités.

He, therefore, will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
