Psaumes 121

1 Cantique des degrés. J'ai levé les yeux vers les montagnes, d'où me viendra mon secours.

A Song of Degrees. I lifted up mine eyes to the mountains, whence my help shall come.

2 Le secours me viendra du Seigneur, qui a créé le ciel et la terre.

My help [shall come] from the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth.

3 Il ne fera point trébucher ton pied; celui qui te garde ne s'endormira pas.

Let not thy foot be moved; and let not thy keeper slumber.

4 Il ne sommeillera pas, il ne s'endormira point celui qui garde Israël.

Behold, he that keeps Israel shall not slumber nor sleep.

5 Le Seigneur te gardera, le Seigneur sera ton abri; sur toi il étendra sa maison.

The Lord shall keep thee: the Lord is thy shelter upon thy right hand.

6 Le soleil ne te brûlera point pendant le jour, ni la lune pendant la nuit.

The sun shall not burn thee by day, neither the moon by night.

7 Le Seigneur te préservera de tout mal; le Seigneur gardera ton âme.

May the Lord preserve thee from all evil: the Lord shall keep thy soul.

8 Le Seigneur te gardera, que tu entres ou que tu sortes, dès maintenant et dans les siècles des siècles.

The Lord shall keep thy coming in, and thy going out, from henceforth and even for ever.
