Psaumes 119
1 Alléluiah! Heureux ceux qui, dans leur voie, conservent l'innocence, et cheminent en la loi du Seigneur.
ALEPH. Happy are they whose way is perfect, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Heureux ceux qui méditent ses témoignages, et qui le cherchent de toute leur âme.
Happy are they who keep his testimonies, that seek him with all their heart.
3 Car les ouvriers d'iniquité n'ont point marché dans ses voies.
They also commit no injustice; in his ways do they walk.
4 Tu as intimé tes commandements, pour qu'ils soient scrupuleusement gardés.
Thou thyself hast commanded us thy precepts, that we might keep [them] diligently.
5 Puissent mes voies être dirigées vers l'accomplissement de tes ordonnances!
Oh that my ways were firmly directed to observe thy statutes!
6 Alors je ne serai point confondu, puisque j'aurai eu mes yeux sur tous tes commandements.
Then would I not be made ashamed, while I look at all thy commandments.
7 Je te rendrai gloire en la droiture de mon cœur, de ce que j'aurai appris les jugements de ta justice.
I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I learn thy righteous ordinances.
8 Je garderai tes ordonnances; ne me délaisse pas sans retour.
Thy statutes will I observe: oh forsake me not too greatly.
9 Comment le jeune homme maintiendra-t-il droite sa voie? En gardant tes paroles.
BETH. Wherewithal shall a youth keep his way pure? by guarding it according to thy word.
10 Je t'ai cherché de toute mon âme; ne me repousse pas de tes commandements.
With all my heart have I sought thee: oh let me not wander astray from thy commandments.
11 J'ai renfermé dans le secret de mon cœur toutes tes paroles pour ne point pécher contre toi.
In my heart have I treasured up thy saying, in order that I may not sin against thee.
12 Tu es béni, Seigneur, enseigne-moi tes préceptes.
Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.
13 J'ai publié de mes lèvres tous les jugements de ta bouche.
With my lips have I related all the ordinances of thy mouth.
14 Je me suis complu dans la voie de tes témoignages, autant que dans la possession de toutes les richesses.
On the way of thy testimonies have I been glad, as over all wealth.
15 Je méditerai sur tes commandements, et je considèrerai tes voies.
On thy precepts will I meditate, and direct my look unto thy paths.
16 J'étudierai tes préceptes, et je n'oublierai point tes paroles.
In thy statutes will I seek my delight: I will not forget thy word.
17 Récompense ton serviteur; et je vivrai, et je garderai tes paroles.
GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant: let me live, that I may observe thy word.
18 Ote le voile de mes yeux, et je comprendrai les merveilles de ta loi.
Open thou my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
19 Je suis passager sur la terre, ne me cache pas tes commandements.
A stranger am I on the earth: hide not from me thy commandments.
20 Mon âme a brûlé, en tout temps, du désir de ta loi.
My soul is broken from longing for thy ordinances at all times.
21 Tu as châtié les superbes; maudits soient ceux qui s'écartent de tes commandements.
Thou hast rebuked the accursed proud, who go erringly astray from thy commandments.
22 Délivre-moi de l'opprobre et du mépris, car j'ai recherché tes témoignages.
Roll away from me reproach and contempt; for thy testimonies have I kept.
23 Les princes se sont assis, et ils ont mal parlé de moi; mais ton serviteur méditait sur tes ordonnances.
Although even princes should sit and speak against me, thy servant would still meditate on thy statutes.
24 Et tes témoignages sont mon étude, et tes conseils mon conseil.
Also thy testimonies are my delight, my counsellors.
25 Mon âme est attachée à la terre; vivifie-moi selon ta promesse.
DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: revive thou me according to thy word.
26 Je t'ai fait connaître mes voies, et tu m'as écouté; enseigne-moi tes préceptes.
My ways do I relate [to thee], and thou answerest me: teach me thy statutes.
27 Apprends-moi la voie de tes préceptes, et je méditerai sur tes merveilles.
Cause me to understand the way of thy precepts, that I may meditate on thy wonders.
28 Mon âme s'est assoupie dans l'abattement; fortifie-moi de tes paroles.
My soul droppeth away from grief: sustain me according to thy word.
29 Éloigne de moi la voie de l'iniquité, et fais-moi miséricorde à cause de ta loi.
The way of falsehood do thou remove from me, and grant me graciously thy law.
30 J'ai choisi la voie de la vérité, et je n'ai point oublié tes jugements.
The way of truth have I chosen: thy ordinances have I set [before me].
31 Je me suis attaché à tes témoignages, Seigneur; ne m'humilie pas.
I have adhered unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.
32 J'ai couru dans la voie de tes commandements, lorsque tu as dilaté mon cœur.
The way of thy commandments will I run; for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
33 Fais, Seigneur, que la voie de tes commandements soit ma loi, et je la chercherai toujours.
HE. Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes, and I shall keep it in all its windings.
34 Donne-moi l'intelligence, et j'approfondirai ta loi, et je la garderai dans le fond de mon âme.
Give me understanding, that I may keep thy law, and I will observe it with all [my] heart.
35 Guide-moi dans le sentier de tes commandements; car c'est celui-là que j'ai désiré.
Guide me on the path of thy commandments; for therein do I find my delight.
36 Incline mon cœur vers tes témoignages, et non vers la convoitise.
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to desire for gain.
37 Détourne mes yeux, pour qu'ils ne voient point les vanités; vivifie-moi en ta loi.
Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity: on thy way do thou give me life.
38 Confirme ta parole en ton serviteur, pour qu'il craigne de te déplaire.
Fulfill unto thy servant thy promise for those who are devoted to thy fear.
39 Ôte-moi l'opprobre du péché que j'ai appréhendé; car tes jugements me sont délectables.
Cause to pass away my disgrace of which I have dread; for thy ordinances are good.
40 Voilà que j'ai désiré tes commandements; vivifie-moi en ta justice.
Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: through thy righteousness do thou give my life.
41 Seigneur, que ta miséricorde me vienne, et ton salut, comme tu me l'as promis.
VAV. And let thy kindness come unto me, O Lord, thy salvation, according to thy promise.
42 Et je pourrai répondre à ceux qui m'outragent, car j'ai espéré en tes paroles.
Then shall I have a word to answer the one that reproacheth me; for I trust in thy word.
43 Ne retire point à jamais de ma bouche la parole de vérité, car j'ai surabondamment espéré en tes jugements.
And snatch not the word of truth out of my mouth too greatly; for I wait for thy ordinances.
44 Et je garderai ta loi toujours, dans tous les siècles des siècles.
So shall I observe thy law continually for ever and ever.
45 Et je marchais au large, parce que j'avais recherché tes commandements.
And I will walk in an open space; for thy precepts have I sought.
46 Et devant les rois je parlais de tes témoignages, et je n'avais aucune honte.
And I will speak of thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47 Et je méditais tes commandements, que j'ai toujours tant aimés.
And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I love.
48 Et j'ai levé les mains vers tes commandements, que j'aime, et j'ai médité sur tes préceptes.
And so will I lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on thy statutes.
49 Souviens-toi de tes paroles à ton serviteur; en elles tu m'as donné d'espérer.
ZAYIN. Remember thy word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to wait.
50 Elles m'ont consolé dans mon abaissement, et ta parole m'a vivifié.
This is my comfort in my affliction, that thy promise hath revived me.
51 Les superbes ont agi envers moi avec une extrême injustice; mais je n'ai point dévié de ta loi.
The presumptuous have held me too greatly in derision: yet have I not departed away from thy law.
52 Je me suis souvenu, Seigneur, de tes jugements éternels, et j'ai été consolé.
I remembered thy decrees [which were] from olden times, O Lord, and thus comforted myself.
53 Le découragement m'a pris, à la vue des pécheurs qui abandonnaient ta loi.
Horror seized on me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
54 Mais, dans le lieu de mon pèlerinage, je chantais encore tes préceptes.
Songs have thy statutes been unto me in the house of my pilgrimage.
55 Je me souvenais de ton nom, Seigneur, pendant la nuit, et je gardais ta loi.
I remembered in the night thy name, O Lord, and observed thy law.
56 Et cette grâce m'a été faite, parce que j'avais recherché tes préceptes.
This came to pass unto me, because I had kept thy precepts.
57 Tu es mon partage, Seigneur; j'ai dit que je garderais ta loi.
CHETH. My portion is the Lord, have I said, that I might observe thy words.
58 J'ai demandé de toute mon âme à voir ton visage; fais-moi miséricorde selon ta parole.
I make entreaty before thee with all my heart: be gracious unto me according to thy promise.
59 J'ai pensé à tes voies, et j'ai tourné mes pas vers tes témoignages.
I have thought over my ways, and made my feet return unto thy testimonies.
60 Je me suis préparé sans trouble à garder tes commandements.
I hastened, and delayed not to observe thy commandments.
61 Les liens des pécheurs m'ont enlacé; mais je n'ai point oublié ta loi.
Companies of wicked men have surrounded me; but I have not forgotten thy law.
62 Au milieu de la nuit, je me levais pour te rendre grâce de tes jugements et de tes ordonnances.
At midnights do I constantly rise to give thanks unto thee, because of thy righteous decrees.
63 Je suis partisan de tous ceux qui te craignent et qui gardent tes commandements.
An associate am I unto all that fear thee, and unto those that keep thy precepts.
64 La terre, Seigneur, est pleine de tes miséricordes; enseigne-moi tous tes préceptes.
Of thy kindness, O Lord, is the earth full: teach me thy statutes.
65 Seigneur, tu as usé de bonté avec ton serviteur, selon ta parole.
TETH. Thou hast shown goodness on thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word.
66 Enseigne-moi la bonté, la discipline et la science, parce que j'ai eu foi en tes commandements.
The best of discernment and knowledge do thou teach me; for in thy commandments do I believe.
67 Avant d'être humilié, j'ai failli; aussi ai-je gardé ta parole.
Before I was afflicted I was in error; but now I observe thy saying.
68 Tu es bon, Seigneur, et en ta bonté enseigne-moi tes ordonnances.
Thou art good, and doing good: teach me thy statutes.
69 L'iniquité des superbes s'est multipliée contre moi; pour moi, j'approfondirai tes commandements au fond de mon cœur.
The presumptuous have invented falsehoods against me; but I will with all my heart indeed keep thy precepts.
70 Leur cœur s'est coagulé comme du laitage, et moi j'ai médité ta loi.
Gross as fat is their heart; but I take truly delight in thy law.
71 Il est heureux pour moi que tu m'aies humilié, pour que j'apprisse tes ordonnances.
It is well for me that I have been afflicted, in order that I might learn thy statutes.
72 La loi qui sort de ta bouche est meilleure pour moi que des millions d'or et d'argent.
Better is unto me the law of thy mouth than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Ce sont tes mains qui m'ont formé et pétri; donne-moi l'intelligence, et je m'instruirai de tes commandements.
YOD. Thy hands have made me and established me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Ceux qui te craignent me verront, et ils seront réjouis, parce que j'ai surabondamment espéré en tes promesses.
Those that fear thee will see me and be rejoiced; because I have waited for thy word.
75 Seigneur, je sais que tes jugements sont la justice même, et que tu m'as humilié selon ta vérité.
I know, O Lord, that thy decrees are righteous, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
76 Et maintenant, que ta miséricorde me vienne et me console, comme tu l'as promis à ton serviteur.
Let, I pray thee, thy kindness come to comfort me, according to thy promise unto thy servant.
77 Que tes miséricordes me viennent, et je vivrai, parce que ta loi est l'objet de ma méditation.
Let thy mercies come unto me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.
78 Qu'ils soient confondus, les superbes, parce qu'ils ont été injustes envers moi; pour moi, je méditerai sur tes commandements.
Let the presumptuous be made ashamed; because they have without a cause dealt perversely with me; but I will indeed meditate on thy precepts.
79 Que ceux qui te craignent viennent à moi, et ceux qui connaissent tes témoignages.
Let those that fear thee return unto me, and those that know thy testimonies.
80 Qu'en tes préceptes mon cœur soit trouvé sans tache, pour que je ne sois point confondu.
Let my heart be entire in thy statutes, in order that I may not be put to shame.
81 Mon âme s'est épuisée à réclamer ton secours, tant j'avais espéré en tes paroles!
CAPH. My soul ardently desireth for thy salvation: for thy word do I wait.
82 Mes yeux se sont éteints dans l'attente de ta parole, disant: Quand me consoleras-tu?
My eyes look eagerly for thy promise, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Me voici comme une outre pendant la gelée; et pourtant je n'ai point oublié tes préceptes.
For I am become like a bottle in the smoke: [yet] do I not forget thy statutes.
84 Combien ton serviteur comptera-t-il encore de jours? Quand jugeras-tu ceux qui me persécutent?
How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute justice on my persecutors?
85 Les méchants m'ont raconté des choses vaines; mais ce n'était point comme ta loi, Seigneur.
The presumptuous have dug pits for me, which is not in accordance with thy law.
86 Tous tes commandements sont vérité; ils m'ont poursuivi injustement, protège-moi.
All thy commandments are founded on truth: without cause they persecute me; help thou me.
87 Peu s'en est fallu qu'ils ne m'aient achevé sur la terre; moi cependant je n'ai point délaissé tes commandements.
But little was wanting that they had consumed me upon earth; but I have truly not forsaken thy precepts.
88 Vivifie-moi selon ta miséricorde, et je garderai les témoignages de ta bouche.
According to thy kindness give me life, that I may observe the testimony of thy mouth.
89 Seigneur, ta parole demeure dans le ciel éternellement;
LAMED. To eternity, O Lord, standeth firm thy word with the heavens.
90 Ta vérité passe de génération en génération; tu as fondé la terre, et elle subsiste.
Unto all generations endureth thy faithfulness: thou hast established the earth, and she standeth.
91 Comme tu l'as réglé, le jour continue de paraître; car tout t'obéit.
According to thy ordinances they exist this day: for all are thy servants.
92 Si ta loi n'était point ma continuelle étude, je périrais dans l'humiliation.
Unless thy law had been my delights, I should long since have been lost in my affliction.
93 Je n'oublierai jamais tes ordonnances, car en elles tu m'as vivifié.
Never will I forget thy precepts; for with them thou hast kept me alive.
94 Je suis à toi, sauve-moi; car j'ai recherché tes préceptes.
Thine am I, save me; for thy precepts have I sought.
95 Les pécheurs m'ont épié pour me perdre; mais j'avais compris tes témoignages.
Wicked men have waited for me to destroy me; [but] I will reflect on thy testimonies.
96 J'ai vu la fin de toute œuvre, même la plus parfaite; seule ta loi est éternelle.
Of all perfection have I seen the end; [but] thy commandment is exceedingly extended.
97 Que j'aime ta loi, Seigneur! elle est tout le jour l'objet de ma méditation.
MEM. Oh how do I love thy law! all the day is it my (meditation)
98 Plus qu'à mes ennemis tu m'as fait goûter ta loi, car elle est toujours devant moi.
Wiser than my enemy doth thy commandment make me; for it is perpetually with me.
99 J'ai eu plus d'intelligence que ceux qui m'ont instruit, car tes témoignages sont ma méditation.
Above all my teachers have I obtained intelligence; for thy testimonies are my (meditation)
100 J'ai eu plus d'intelligence que les anciens, car j'ai cherché tes commandements.
More than the elders do I possess understanding; because thy precepts do I keep.
101 J'ai détourné mes pieds de toute voie mauvaise, afin de garder tes paroles.
From every evil path have I withholden my feet, in order that I might observe thy word.
102 Je n'ai point dévié de tes jugements, parce que tu as été mon législateur.
From thy ordinances have I not departed; for thou hast instructed me.
103 Que tes paroles sont douces à mon palais! elles le sont plus que le miel à ma bouche.
How much sweeter are to my palate thy sayings than honey to my mouth!
104 Je tiens mon intelligence de tes préceptes; aussi ai-je en haine toute voie d'iniquité.
Through thy precepts shall I obtain understanding: therefore do I hate every path of falsehood.
105 Ta loi est la lampe de mes pieds et la lumière de mes sentiers.
NUN. A lamp unto my feet is thy word, and a light unto my path.
106 J'ai juré et résolu de garder les jugements de ta justice.
I have sworn, and I will perform it, to observe thy righteous ordinances.
107 J'ai été profondément humilié, Seigneur; vivifie-moi selon ta parole.
I am afflicted exceedingly much: O Lord, revive me, according to thy word.
108 Seigneur, aie pour agréables les offrandes volontaires de ma bouche, et enseigne-moi tes jugements.
Receive in favor the freewill-offerings of my mouth, I beseech thee, O Lord, and teach me thy ordinances.
109 Mon âme est toujours en tes mains, et je n'ai point oublié ta loi.
My life is in my hand continually: yet thy law do I not forget.
110 Les pécheurs m'ont tendu des pièges, et je n'ai point dévié de tes commandements.
The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet have I not erred from thy precepts.
111 J'ai eu pour héritage éternel tes témoignages, et ils sont le tressaillement de mon cœur.
I have taken thy testimonies as a heritage to eternity; for they are the joy of my heart.
112 J'ai incliné mon cœur à toujours agir selon tes ordonnances, en vue de ma rétribution.
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes always, in all their ways.
113 Je hais les méchants, et j'aime ta loi.
SAMECH. Those of divided thoughts I hate; but thy law do I love.
114 Tu es mon champion et mon appui; j'ai surabondamment espéré en tes promesses.
My shelter and my shield art thou: for thy word do I wait.
115 Éloignez-vous de moi, pervers, et j'approfondirai les commandements de mon Dieu.
Depart from me, ye evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of God.
116 Soutiens-moi, Seigneur, selon ta parole, et vivifie-moi; et que je ne sois point confondu en mon attente.
Uphold me according to thy promise, that I may live, and let me not be made ashamed of my hope.
117 Secours-moi, et je serai sauvé, et je méditerai toujours sur tes préceptes.
Support me that I may be placed in safety, and I will direct my regard unto thy statutes continually.
118 Tu as réduit à néant tous ceux qui se sont éloignés de tes jugements, parce que leur pensée est inique.
Thou hast trodden down all that erringly stray from thy statutes; for falsehood is their deceit.
119 J'ai compté comme pécheurs tous les prévaricateurs de la terre; c'est pourquoi j'aime tes témoignages.
Like dross dost thou put away all the wicked of the earth: therefore do I love thy testimonies.
120 Transperce mes chairs de ta crainte, car j'ai toujours redouté tes jugements.
My flesh trembleth shudderingly from dread of thee, and of thy decrees am I afraid.
121 J'ai été droit dans mes jugements et ma justice; ne me livre pas à ceux qui me nuisent.
'AYIN. I have executed justice and righteousness: leave me not to those who oppress me.
122 Affermis ton serviteur dans le bien; que les superbes ne le calomnient pas.
Protect thy servant for good: let not the presumptuous oppress me.
123 Mes yeux ont défailli à force d'attendre mon salut et la parole de ton équité.
My eyes look eagerly for thy salvation, and for thy righteous promise.
124 Traite ton serviteur selon ta miséricorde, et enseigne-moi tes préceptes.
Deal with thy servant according to thy kindness, and thy statutes do thou teach me.
125 Je suis ton serviteur; donne-moi l'intelligence, et je connaîtrai tes témoignages.
I am thy servant: give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
126 Le temps d'agir est venu pour le Seigneur; car ils ont renversé ta loi.
It is time to act for the Lord: they have broken thy law.
127 C'est pour cela que j'ai aimé tes commandements plus que l'or et la topaze.
Therefore do I love thy commandments more than gold, and more than fine gold.
128 Aussi me suis-je dirigé selon tes commandements; j'ai pris en haine la voie de l'iniquité.
Therefore do I esteem all thy precepts in all things as right: every path of falsehood do I hate.
129 Tes témoignages sont merveilleux; aussi mon âme les a recherchés.
PE. Wonderful are thy testimonies: therefore doth my soul keep them.
130 La manifestation de tes paroles éclairera et instruira les plus jeunes enfants.
The opening of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding unto the simple.
131 J'ai ouvert la bouche, et je suis resté haletant du désir de tes commandements.
I opened my mouth, and panted for breath; because for thy commandments did I long.
132 Regarde-moi, et faites-moi miséricorde, comme il est juste envers ceux qui aiment ton nom.
Turn thou unto me, and be gracious unto me, as is thy wont unto those that love thy name.
133 Dirige mes pas selon ta parole, et que nulle iniquité ne soit maîtresse de moi.
My steps establish thou through thy promise, and suffer not any wrong to have dominion over me.
134 Délivre-moi des fausses accusations des hommes, et je garderai tes commandements.
Deliver me from the oppression of man, and I will observe thy precepts.
135 Fais que brille ton visage sur ton serviteur, et enseigne-moi tes préceptes.
Let thy face shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
136 Mes yeux se sont fondus en des torrents de larmes, parce que je n'avais point gardé ta loi.
Streams of water have run down my eyes; because they had not observed thy law.
137 Tu es juste, Seigneur, et tes jugements sont droits.
TZADDE. Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy decrees.
138 Tu nous as recommandé tes témoignages, comme étant la justice et la vérité.
Thou hast commanded thy testimonies, as righteous and faithful exceedingly.
139 Ton zèle m'a consumé, parce que mes ennemis avaient oublié tes paroles.
My zeal destroyeth me; because my assailants have forgotten thy words.
140 Ta parole est éprouvée comme un feu ardent, et ton serviteur l'aime.
Thy promise is greatly refined, and thy servant loveth it.
141 Et, quoique jeune et méprisé, je n'ai point oublié tes préceptes.
I am little and despised: yet thy precepts have I not forgotten.
142 Ta justice est la justice éternelle, et ta loi, la vérité.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
143 La tribulation et la détresse sont venues me trouver; tes commandements ont été ma méditation.
Distress and trouble have overtaken me: [yet] are thy commandments my delights.
144 Tes témoignages sont une justice éternelle; donne-m'en l'intelligence, et je vivrai.
Righteous are thy testimonies for everlasting: give me understanding, that I may live.
145 J'ai crié au fond de mon âme; exauce-moi, Seigneur, et je rechercherai tes préceptes.
KOPH. I have called with all my heart: answer me, O Lord: thy statutes will I keep.
146 J'ai crié vers toi; sauve-moi, et je garderai tes témoignages.
I have called on thee, save me, and I will observe thy testimonies.
147 Je me suis levé avant le jour, et j'ai crié, tant j'espérais en tes promesses.
I come before thee in the dawn of morning, and cry: for thy word do I wait.
148 Mes yeux se sont ouverts avant l'aurore, pour méditer tes paroles.
My eyes are awake before the night-watches, that I may meditate in thy saying.
149 Écoute ma voix. Seigneur, selon ta miséricorde; vivifie-moi selon ton jugement.
Hear my voice according to thy kindness: O Lord, according to thy decree do thou grant me life.
150 Mes persécuteurs se sont approchés de l'iniquité, et ils se sont éloignés de ta loi.
They that pursue mischievous devices draw nigh: from thy law are they far.
151 Tu es proche, Seigneur, et toutes tes voies sont vérité.
Near art thou, O Lord; and all thy commandments are the truth.
152 J'ai reconnu dès le commencement, par tes témoignages, que tu les avais fondés pour tous les siècles.
Of old already I knew of thy testimonies; because for eternity hast thou founded them.
153 Vois mon humiliation, et délivre-moi; car je n'ai point oublié ta loi.
RESH. Look on my affliction, and release me; for thy law have I not forgotten.
154 Juge ma cause, et rachète-moi; vivifie-moi selon ta parole.
Plead my cause, and deliver me: according to thy promise do thou revive me.
155 Le salut est loin des pécheurs, parce qu'ils n'ont point, recherché tes préceptes.
Far from the wicked is salvation; because thy statutes have they not sought for.
156 Tes miséricordes sont abondantes, Seigneur; vivifie-moi selon ton jugement.
Thy mercies are abundant, O Lord; according to thy decrees do thou revive me.
157 Ceux qui me persécutent et m'oppriment sont nombreux; cependant je ne me suis point écarté de tes témoignages.
Many are my persecutors and my assailants: yet from thy testimonies do I not turn away.
158 J'ai vu les insensés, et je me suis consumé, parce qu'ils n'avaient point gardé tes paroles.
I beheld the treacherous, and felt disgust; because they observed not thy saying.
159 Vois, Seigneur, combien j'aime ta loi! vivifie-moi selon ta miséricorde.
Behold that I love thy precepts: O Lord, according to thy kindness do thou revive me.
160 La vérité est le principe de tes paroles, et tous les jugements de ta justice sont éternels.
The summit of thy word is truth: and the whole of thy righteous judgment endureth for ever.
161 Les princes m'ont persécuté sans cause; mais mon cœur n'a redouté que tes paroles.
SHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but of thy word standeth my heart in dread.
162 Je me réjouirai de tes paroles, comme celui qui trouve un riche butin.
I am rejoiced over thy promise, as one that findeth great spoil.
163 Je hais l'iniquité, je l'ai en abomination; j'aime ta loi.
Falsehood I hate and abhor: but thy law do I love.
164 Sept fois le jour je t'ai loué, à cause des jugements de ta justice.
Seven times in the day do I praise thee because of thy righteous decrees.
165 Ceux qui aiment ta loi jouissent d'une paix profonde, et il n'est point pour eux de scandale.
Abundant peace have they who love thy law; and thee is nothing that causeth them to stumble.
166 J'ai attendu ton salut, Seigneur, et j'ai aimé tes commandements.
I have hoped for thy salvation, O Lord, and thy commandments have I fulfilled.
167 Mon âme a gardé tes témoignages; elle les a vivement aimés.
My soul hath observed thy testimonies, and I love them exceedingly.
168 J'ai gardé tes commandements et tes témoignages, parce que toutes mes voies sont en ta présence. Seigneur.
I have observed thy precepts and thy testimonies; because all my ways are before thee.
169 Que ma prière. Seigneur, arrive jusqu'à toi; donne-moi l'intelligence selon ta parole.
TAV. Let my entreaty come near before thee, O Lord: according to thy word grant me understanding.
170 Que ma demande. Seigneur, arrive jusqu'à toi; délivre-moi selon ta parole.
Let my supplication come before thee: according to thy promise do thou deliver me.
171 Que mes lèvres chantent un hymne, quand tu m'auras enseigné tes préceptes.
My lips shall utter praise; because thou wilt teach me thy statutes.
172 Que ma langue publie tes promesses, parce que tous tes commandements sont la justice.
My tongue shall speak loudly of thy promise; for all thy commandments are righteous.
173 Que ta main se prête à me sauver, parce que j'ai choisi ta loi.
Let thy hand be [ready] to help me; for thy precepts have I chosen.
174 J'ai désiré ton salut. Seigneur, et ta loi est l'objet de ma méditation.
I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delights.
175 Mon âme vivra et te louera, et tes jugements seront mon soutien.
Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee: and let thy decrees help me.
176 J'ai été errant comme une brebis égarée; cherche ton serviteur, parce que je n'ai point oublié ta loi.
I have gone erringly astray like a lost sheep: seek thy servant; for thy commandments have I not forgotten.
