Psaumes 116
1 Alléluiah! J'ai aimé, parce que le Seigneur exaucera la voix de ma prière;
I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.
2 Parce qu'il a incliné vers moi son oreille, et tous les jours de ma vie je l'invoquerai.
Because he has inclined his ear to me, therefore will I call on him as long as I live.
3 Les douleurs de la mort m'avaient environné; les périls de l'enfer m'avaient atteint. J'avais trouvé la souffrance et la tribulation; (Sheol h7585)
The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell got hold on me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
4 Et j'ai invoqué le nom du Seigneur. Seigneur, délivre mon âme!
Then called I on the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech you, deliver my soul.
5 Le Seigneur est juste et compatissant, et notre Dieu fait miséricorde.
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yes, our God is merciful.
6 Le Seigneur garde les petits; j'avais été humilié, et il m'a sauvé.
The LORD preserves the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
7 O mon âme, retourne à ton repos, car le Seigneur a été bon pour toi.
Return to your rest, O my soul; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.
8 Il a délivré mon âme de la mort, mes yeux des larmes, et mes pieds de la chute.
For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
9 Je me complairai en présence du Seigneur, en la terre des vivants.
I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 Alléluiah! J'ai cru, c'est pourquoi j'ai parlé; et j'avais été humilié à l'excès.
I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
11 Or j'ai dit en mon extase: Tout homme est menteur.
I said in my haste, All men are liars.
12 Que rendrai-je au Seigneur pour tous les biens qu'il m'a faits?
What shall I render to the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
13 Je prendrai le calice du salut, et j'invoquerai le nom du Seigneur.
I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of the LORD.
14 La mort de ses saints est précieuse aux yeux du Seigneur.
I will pay my vows to the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
15 La mort de ses saints est précieuse aux yeux du Seigneur.
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
16 Seigneur, je suis ton serviteur, je suis ton serviteur et le fils de ta servante; tu as rompu mes liens.
O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, and the son of your handmaid: you have loosed my bonds.
17 Je te ferai un sacrifice de louanges, et j'invoquerai le nom du Seigneur.
I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call on the name of the LORD.
18 Je rendrai mes vœux au Seigneur en face de tout son peuple,
I will pay my vows to the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
19 Dans les parvis du Seigneur, au milieu de tes murs, ô Jérusalem!
In the courts of the LORD’s house, in the middle of you, O Jerusalem. Praise you the LORD.
