1 Le même jour où il eut achevé de dresser le tabernacle du témoignage, Moïse l'oignit et le sanctifia, ainsi que les ornements, l'autel et ses accessoires; il les oignit et les sanctifia.

And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them;

2 Et les princes d'Israël firent leurs offrandes; c'étaient les douze chefs de leurs maisons paternelles, les chefs des tribus, ceux qui avaient présidé au recensement,

That the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered, offered:

3 Ils amenèrent leurs présents devant le Seigneur: six grands chariots couverts et douze bœufs, un chariot pour deux chefs, un bœuf pour chacun; et ils les conduisirent devant le tabernacle.

And they brought their offering before the LORD, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought them before the tabernacle.

4 Et le Seigneur dit à Moïse:

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

5 Accepte-les d'eux, ils seront employés aux œuvres liturgiques du tabernacle du témoignage, et tu les donneras aux lévites, selon la nature de leurs services.

Take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and you shall give them to the Levites, to every man according to his service.

6 Moïse accepta donc les chariots avec les bœufs, et il les donna aux lévites.

And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them to the Levites.

7 Il donna deux chars et quatre bœufs aux fils de Gerson, en proportion de leur service liturgique.

Two wagons and four oxen he gave to the sons of Gershon, according to their service:

8 Il donna quatre chars et huit bœufs aux fils de Mérari, en proportion de leur service liturgique, dirigé par Ithamar, fils d'Aaron.

And four wagons and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Merari, according to their service, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

9 Mais il ne donna rien aux fils de Caath, parce que leur service se fait dans l'intérieur du sanctuaire, et qu'ils portent les objets sur leurs épaules.

And the princes offered for dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.

11 Et le Seigneur dit à Moïse: Les princes offriront jour par jour leurs présents pour la dédicace de l'autel.

And the LORD said to Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.

12 Nahasson, fils d'Aminadab, chef de la tribu de Juda, fut celui qui fit son présent le premier jour.

And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah:

13 Il offrit un plat d'argent du poids de cent trente doubles drachmes, une coupe d'argent de soixante-dix sicles au poids du sanctuaire, l'un et l'autre remplis de fleur de farine, pétrie dans l'huile, pour l'oblation;

And his offering was one silver charger, the weight thereof was an hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them were full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering:

14 Une navette d'or du poids de dix sicles, remplie de parfums.

One spoon of ten shekels of gold, full of incense:

15 Un veau pris parmi les bœufs, un bélier, un agneau d'un an pour l'holocauste,

One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering:

16 Un bouc pris parmi les chèvres, offert pour le péché;

One kid of the goats for a sin offering:

18 Le second jour, Nathanaël, fils de Sogar, chef de la tribu d'Issachar, fit son présent.

This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold:

Each charger of silver weighing an hundred and thirty shekels, each bowl seventy: all the silver vessels weighed two thousand and four hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:

The golden spoons were twelve, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, after the shekel of the sanctuary: all the gold of the spoons was an hundred and twenty shekels.

All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their meat offering: and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve.

88 Total des têtes d'hosties pacifiques: vingt-quatre génisses, soixante béliers, soixante boucs, soixante brebis d'un an sans tache. Telle fut la dédicace de l'autel après qu'on l'eut couvert de présents et qu'on l'eut oint.

And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after that it was anointed.

89 Et lorsque Moïse entrait dans le tabernacle du témoignage pour parler au Seigneur, il entendait la voix du Seigneur lui parlant du haut du propitiatoire, qui était sur l'autel du témoignage, entre les deux chérubins; c'est ainsi que le Seigneur lui parlait.

And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking to him from off the mercy seat that was on the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubim: and he spoke to him.
