1 Le Seigneur dit alors à Moïse:

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

2 Parle aux fils d'Israël, et dis-leur: Lorsque vous serez entrés en la terre que je vous donne pour que vous l'habitiez,

Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou shall say unto them, —When ye shall enter into the land of your dwelling-places, which, I, am giving unto you;

3 Et que parmi vos bœufs ou vos menus troupeau vous sacrifierez au Seigneur des holocaustes ou des hosties pacifiques, soit pour accomplir un vœu, soit volontairement, où bien afin de répandre dans vos fêtes une odeur de suavité pour le Seigneur;

and ye would offer, as an altar-flame unto Yahweh an ascending-offering or a sacrifice, for celebrating a vow or as a freewill-offering, or in your appointed seasons, —by way of offering a satisfying odour unto Yahweh, from the herd or from the flock,

4 Celui qui fera ce don au Seigneur, présentera en même temps en oblation un décime d'éphi de fleur de farine pétrie dans un quart de mesure d'huile.

then shall he that bringeth near his oblation bring near unto Yahweh a meal-offering, of fine meal a tenth part [of an ephah] overflowed with the fourth part of a hin of oil;

5 Et vous donnerez un quart de mesure de vin pour la libation sur l'holocauste ou sur l'hostie; voilà ce qu'il faudra donner par agneau; c'est le sacrifice d'odeur de suavité pour le Seigneur.

wine also for a drink-offering, the fourth part of a hin, shalt thou offer with the ascending-offering or with the sacrifice, —for each he-lamb.

6 Et si vous sacrifiez un bélier en holocauste ou comme hostie pacifique, l'oblation sera de deux décimes d'éphi de fleur de farine pétrie dans un tiers de mesure d'huile.

Or, with a ram, thou shalt offer a meal-offering, of fine meal, two tenths, —overflowed with oil, the third of a hin;

7 Et vous présenterez un tiers de mesure de vin pour la libation, afin qu'elle répande une odeur de suavité devant le Seigneur.

wine also, for a drink-offering, the third of a hin, shalt thou bring near as a satisfying odour unto Yahweh.

8 Si vous sacrifiez une tête prise parmi vos bœufs, soit en holocauste, soit pour l'accomplissement d'un vœu, soit comme hostie pacifique,

And when thou wouldest offer a choice young bullock as an ascending-offering or sacrifice, —for celebrating a vow or as a peace-offering unto Yahweh,

9 Vous présenterez en outre une oblation de trois décimes de fleur de farine pétrie dans une demi-mesure d'huile,

then shall he bring near with his choice young bullock, a meal-offering, of fine meal three tenths, —overflowed with half a hin of oil;

10 Et une demi-mesure de vin pour la libation: et le sacrifice répandra une odeur de suavité devant le Seigneur.

wine also, shalt thou bring near for a drink-offering, half a hin, —for an altar-flame of satisfying odour unto Yahweh.

11 Vous ferez ainsi pour chaque veau, pour chaque bélier, pour chaque agneau, pour chaque tête prise parmi les brebis ou les chèvres.

Thus and thus, shall it be done, for each ox, and for each ram, —and for each young one among the sheep, or among the goats:

12 Quel que soit le nombre des victimes que vous sacrifierez, voilà ce que vous ferez pour chacune;

according to the number which ye shall offer, thus and thus, shall ye do for each one according to their number.

13 Tout indigène fera ainsi ses offrandes, afin que vos sacrifices soient en odeur de suavité devant le Seigneur.

Every one born in the land, thus and thus, shall offer these things, —when bringing near an altar-flame of a satisfying odour unto Yahweh.

14 Et si un prosélyte est venu demeurer avec vous en votre terre, ou s'il est né parmi vous en vos familles, il offrira les sacrifices d'odeur de suavité au Seigneur, de la même manière que vous; ainsi fera pour le Seigneur la synagogue tout entière.

And when there shall sojourn with you a sojourner, or one who is in your midst to your generations, and he would offer an altar-flame of a satisfying odour unto Yahweh, as ye offer, so, shall he offer,

15 Il n'y aura qu'une loi pour vous et pour les prosélytes demeurant parmi vous; c'est une loi perpétuelle en toutes vos générations; le prosélyte sera comme vous devant le Seigneur. Il n'y aura qu'une loi, qu'une justice pour vous et pour le prosélyte demeurant parmi vous.

In the convocation, one statute, shall there be for you and for the sojourner who sojourneth, —an age-abiding statute unto your generations, as ye are, so, the sojourner, shall be before Yahweh:

16 Le Seigneur dit encore à Moïse:

one law and one regulation, shall there be for yourselves and for the sojourner that sojourneth with you.

17 Parle aux fils d'Israël, et dis-leur:

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

18 Pendant que vous entrerez en la terre où je vous conduis,

Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, —When ye enter into the land whereinto I, am bringing you,

19 Lorsque vous mangerez des pains de cette terre, vous mettrez à part une offrande, qui sera la portion du Seigneur,

then shall it be, when ye eat the bread of the land, that ye shall heave up a heave-offering unto Yahweh.

20 Prémices de vos pâtes; vous mettrez à part, comme offrande, le pain provenant de ces prémices, de même que l'offrande des aires; vous emporterez le pain qui sera

Of the first of your meal, shall ye heave up, a cake, as a heave-offering, —like the heave-offering of grain, so shall ye heave it.

21 Prémices de vos pâtes, et vous le donnerez au Seigneur; ce sera son offrande durant toutes vos générations.

Of the first of your meal, shall ye give unto Yahweh a heave-offering, —unto your generations.

22 Mais, si vous n'exécutez point tous les ordres que le Seigneur a donnés à Moïse,

And when ye shall make a mistake, and not observe all these commandments, —which Yahweh hath spoken unto Moses;

23 Et qu'il vous a transmis par la voix de ce dernier; si vous y manquez, à partir du jour où vous les avez reçus et à l'avenir, en toutes vos générations,

even all that Yahweh hath given unto you in command, by the hand of Moses, —from the day that Yahweh gave command, and onward unto your generations,

24 Si la faute a été commise involontairement à l'insu de la synagogue, le peuple entier sacrifiera un veau sans tache, pris parmi les bœufs, en holocauste, en odeur de suavité pour le Seigneur, avec son oblation et sa libation selon la règle, et en outre un bouc pris parmi les chèvres, pour le péché.

then shall it be—if, any from the eyes of the assembly, it hath been done by mistake, that all the assembly shall offer one choice young bullock for an ascending-sacrifice as a satisfying odour unto Yahweh, with the meal-offering thereof and the drink-offering thereof, according to the regulation, —and one young he-goat as a sin-bearer.

25 Et le prêtre intercèdera pour toute la synagogue des fils d'Israël; et la faute leur sera remise, parce qu'elle aura été involontaire, et qu'ils auront apporté leur offrande et fait un sacrifice au Seigneur pour le péché et le délit.

So shall the priest put a propitiatory, covering over all the assembly of the sons of Israel and pardon shall be granted unto them, —because a mistake, it was, they, therefore have brought in their offering—an altar-flame unto Yahweh and their sin-bearer before Yahweh for their mistake:

26 Et la faute sera remise à toute la synagogue des fils d'Israël; elle sera pareillement remise au prosélyte demeurant parmi vous, parce que pour tout le peuple elle aura été involontaire.

and pardon shall be granted unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel and unto the sojourner that sojourneth in their midst, —for, in the case of all the people, it was, by mistake.

27 Si une âme seule a péché involontairement, elle offrira une chèvre d'un an pour le péché.

And if, any one person, shall sin by mistake, then shall he bring near a she-goat of the first year as a sin-bearer;

28 Et le prêtre priera pour cette âme négligente qui aura péché involontairement devant le Seigneur, afin de lui rendre le Seigneur favorable.

and the priest shall put a propitiatory-covering over the person who hath made the mistake, when he hath sinned by mistake before Yahweh, even put a propitiatory-covering over him, and pardon shall be granted him.

29 Il n'y aura qu'une loi pour l'indigène des fils d'Israël, et pour le prosélyte demeurant avec eux, lorsqu'ils auront péché involontairement.

For the native born among the sons of Israel, and for the sojourner that sojourneth in their midst, one law, shall there be unto you—for acting by mistake.

30 Tout indigène ou prosélyte qui de lui-même pèchera par orgueil et irritera Dieu, sera exterminé au milieu du peuple,

But, as for the person who acteth with a high hand—of the native born or of the sojourners, Yahweh himself, he, reproacheth, —therefore shall that person be cut off out of the midst of his people.

31 Car il aura méprisé la parole du Seigneur, et rendu vains les commandements; il sera broyé, et son péché sera en lui.

Because the word of Yahweh, hath he despised, and his commandment, hath he broken, that person shall be surely cut off, his iniquity, is in himself.

32 Comme les fils d'Israël étaient dans le désert, ils virent un homme qui ramassait du bois le jour du sabbat.

While the sons of Israel were in the desert, they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day.

33 Ceux qui le trouvèrent ramassant du bois le jour du sabbat, le conduisirent devant Moïse, Aaron et toute la synagogue d'Israël,

And they who found him gathering sticks, brought him near, unto Moses and unto Aaron and unto all the assembly.

34 Et on le mit en prison; car ils n'avaient point décidé ce qu'ils lui feraient.

And they put him in ward, —because it was not clear what they should do unto him.

35 Alors, le Seigneur parla à Moïse, disant: Que cet homme meure de mort, que toute la synagogue le lapide.

Then said Yahweh unto Moses, The man shall be, put to death, —all the assembly, stoning him with stones, outside the camp.

36 Toute la synagogue le mena donc hors du camp, et le lapida, comme le Seigneur l'avait prescrit à Moïse.

So then all the assembly, put him forth, outside the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.

37 Le Seigneur dit ensuite à Moïse:

And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying:

38 Parle aux fils d'Israël, et dis-leur: Faites des franges aux bords de vos manteaux, en toutes vos générations, ajoutez à la frange un effilé couleur d'hyacinthe;

Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, That they shall make them fringes on the corners of their garments unto their generations—and shall put upon the fringe of the corner a cord of blue:

39 Cet effilé sera mêlé aux franges, vous l'aurez sous les yeux, et vous vous souviendrez des commandements du Seigneur, vous les observerez et vous ne vous laisserez pas pervertir par vos mauvaises pensées, ni par des yeux qui vous feraient tomber dans la fornication.

so shall they serve you as fringes, and when ye see then, then shall ye call to mind all the commandments of Yahweh, and shall do them, —and shall not spy out, after your own hearts, and after your own eyes for things, after which, ye, are ready to go unchastely away:

40 Vous vous souviendrez de mes commandements et vous les mettrez en pratique, et vous serez saints pour votre Dieu.

to the intent ye may call to mind, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

41 Je suis le Seigneur votre Dieu qui vous ai tirés de la terre d'Egypte pour être votre Dieu; je suis le Seigneur votre Dieu.

I—Yahweh, am your God—who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to become your God, —I, —Yahweh, am your God.
