Michée 4
1 Et voici ce qui arrivera: au dernier jour, la montagne du Seigneur apparaîtra; on la verra au-dessus des cimes des monts; elle s'élèvera plus haut que les collines. Et les peuples auront hâte de s'en approcher;
But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it.
2 et les gentils viendront en grand nombre, et diront: Venons, montons sur la montagne du Seigneur, et au temple du Dieu de Jacob. On nous en montrera le chemin, et nous cheminerons en ses entiers; car de Sion sortira la loi, et de Jérusalem la parole du Seigneur.
And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
3 Et Il jugera entre beaucoup de peuples, et Il châtiera, même au loin, des nations puissantes; et chez elles on forgera les glaives pour en faire des socs de charrues, et des javelines pour en faire des faux; de nation à nation, on ne s'attaquera plus par l'épée, on n'apprendra plus à combattre.
And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
4 Et chacun se reposera sous sa vigne et sous son figuier; et nul ne leur inspirera de crainte, parce que le Seigneur tout-puissant l'a dit de Sa bouche.
But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken it.
5 Tous les peuples alors suivront chacun sa voie; mais nous, nous marcherons au Nom du Seigneur, notre Dieu, dans tous les siècles et au delà.
For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.
6 En ce jour, dit le Seigneur, Je réunirai celle qui a le cœur contrit et celle que J'ai repoussée, et J'accueillerai ceux que J'avais chassés;
In that day, says the LORD, will I assemble her that halts, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;
7 et Je mettrai en réserve celle qui a eu le cœur contrit; et Je ferai une nation puissante de celle que J'avais repoussée; et le Seigneur régnera sur elles en la montagne de Sion, depuis ce moment jusqu'à la fin des siècles.
And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from now on, even for ever.
8 Et toi, vieille tour du troupeau, Sion Ma fille, la principauté te reviendra et rentrera dans tes murs; et le premier royaume de Babylone reviendra à Ma fille Jérusalem.
And you, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
9 Et maintenant pourquoi as-tu connu le malheur? N'avais-tu pas un roi? Ou ta raison avait-elle péri pour que tu aies senti les douleurs de l'enfantement?
Now why do you cry out aloud? is there no king in you? is your counselor perished? for pangs have taken you as a woman in travail.
10 Souffre et prends courage, et approche, Sion, ma fille; souffre comme une femme qui enfante; car bientôt tu sortiras de tes murs, tu dresseras tes tentes dans la plaine, et tu iras jusqu'à Babylone; puis le Seigneur ton Dieu t'en délivrera, et Il te tirera des mains de tes ennemis.
Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shall you go forth out of the city, and you shall dwell in the field, and you shall go even to Babylon; there shall you be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem you from the hand of your enemies.
11 Et maintenant, contre toi maintes nations se sont rassemblées, elles disaient: Réjouissons-nous, et que nos yeux surveillent Sion!
Now also many nations are gathered against you, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look on Zion.
12 Mais elles ne savaient pas la pensée du Seigneur; elles n'avaient point compris Ses conseils; car Il les avait rassemblées comme des gerbes dans une aire.
But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.
13 Lève-toi, Sion, Ma fille, tombe sur elles comme le fléau; Je te donnerai des cornes de fer; Je te couvrirai d'armes d'airain, et tu briseras maintes nations, et tu consacreras leurs grains nombreux au Seigneur, et leurs richesses au Seigneur de toute la terre.
Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs brass: and you shall beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain to the LORD, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.
