Job 25

1 Or Baldad le Sauchite dit:

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

2 Pourquoi Celui qui a créé toute chose commence-t-il par inspirer crainte de lui?

Dominion and fear [are] with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

3 Qui pourra prendre en défaut l'activité des pirates? Contre qui le tentateur ne dresse-t-il pas des embûches?

Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

4 Comment un mortel est-il juste aux yeux du Seigneur? Quel fils de la femme est pur devant lui?

How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean [that is] born of a woman?

5 S'il commande à la lune, elle cessera de luire; et pour lui les étoiles sont-elles pures?

Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; and the stars are not pure in his sight.

6 Résigne-toi donc, l'homme n'est que pourriture; le fils de l'homme n'est qu'un vermisseau.

How much less man, [that is] a worm; and the son of man, [who is] a worm?
