Jérémie 11
1 Voici la parole du Seigneur qui est venue à Jérémie, disant:
The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye,
2 Écoutez tous les paroles de cette alliance; et toi parle aux hommes de Juda et à ceux qui habitent Jérusalem.
and seide, Here ye the wordis of this couenaunt, and speke ye to the men of Juda, and to the dwelleris of Jerusalem; and thou schalt seie to hem,
3 Dis-leur: Voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu d'Israël: Maudit soit l'homme qui n'écoutera pas les paroles de cette alliance,
The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Cursid be the man that herith not the wordis of this couenaunt,
4 Que j'ai commandée à vos pères, le jour où je les ai conduits hors de la terre d'Égypte, hors de la fournaise de fer, disant: Soyez dociles à ma voix, et faites toutes les choses que je vous prescris; et vous serez mon peuple, et moi je serai votre Dieu;
which Y comaundide to youre fadris, in the dai in which Y ledde hem out of the lond of Egipt, fro the irone furneis; and Y seide, Here ye my vois, and do ye alle thingis whiche Y comaundide to you, and ye schulen be in to a puple to me, and Y schal be in to God to you;
5 Afin que j'accomplisse le serment que j'ai fait à vos pères de leur donner une terre où coulent le lait et le miel, comme en ce jour. Et je répondis: Seigneur, qu'il soit ainsi!
that Y reise the ooth which Y swoor to youre fadris, that Y schulde yyue to hem a lond flowynge with mylk and hony, as this dai is. And Y answeride, and seide, Amen, Lord.
6 Et le Seigneur me dit: Lis ces paroles dans les villes de Juda. et hors de Jérusalem, disant: Écoutez les paroles de cette alliance, et mettez-les en pratique.
And the Lord seide to me, Crye thou alle these wordis in the citees of Juda, and with out Jerusalem, and seie thou, Here ye the wordis of this couenaunt, and do ye tho;
7 Et ils ne les ont point pratiquées.
for Y witnessynge haue witnessid to youre fadris, in the dai in which Y ledde hem out of the lond of Egipt, `til to this dai; Y roos eerli, and witnesside, and seide, Here ye my vois.
8 Et ils ne les ont point pratiquées.
And thei herden not, nether bowiden doun her eere, but thei yeden forth ech man in the schrewidnesse of his yuel herte; and Y brouyte in on hem alle the wordis of this couenaunt, which Y comaundide that thei schulden do, and thei diden not.
9 Et le Seigneur me dit: On a découvert un complot tramé contre moi par les hommes de Juda, et ceux qui habitent Jérusalem;
And the Lord seide to me, Sweryng togidere is foundun in the men of Juda, and in the dwelleris of Jerusalem;
10 Ils sont revenus aux iniquités de leurs pères, qui autrefois n'ont point voulu écouter mes paroles, et voilà qu'ils marchent à la suite des dieux étrangers pour les servir; et la maison d'Israël et la maison de Juda ont déchiré l'alliance que j'avais faite avec leurs pères.
thei turneden ayen to the formere wickidnessis of her fadris, that nolden here my wordis; and therfor these men yeden aftir alien goddis, for to serue hem; the hous of Israel and the hous of Juda maden voide my couenaunt, which Y made with the fadris of hem.
11 A cause de cela, ainsi dit le Seigneur: Voilà que je vais amener sur ce peuple des maux dont il ne pourra se tirer; et ils crieront vers moi, et je ne les écouterai pas
Wherfor the Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal bringe in on hem yuels, of whiche thei schulen not mow go out; and thei schulen crie to me, and Y schal not here hem.
12 Et les villes de Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem s'en iront, et ils crieront vers les dieux étrangers, pour qui ils ont brûlé de l'encens; et ces dieux ne les sauveront pas au temps de leurs malheurs.
And the citees of Juda and the dwellers of Jerusalem schulen go, and schulen crye to hem, to whiche thei offren sacrifices; and thei schulen not saue hem in the tyme of her turment.
13 Car, Juda, tu as autant de dieux que de villes; et vous avez dressé autant d'autels pour sacrifier à Baal qu'il y a de rues à Jérusalem.
For thou, Juda, thi goddis weren bi the noumbre of thi citees, and thou settidist auters of schenschipe, bi the noumbre of the weies of Jerusalem, auters to offre sacrifices to Baalym.
14 Et toi, ne prie point pour ce peuple, n'intercède pas pour eux, par oraison ou prière; car je ne les écouterai pas le jour où ils m'invoqueront, le jour de leur affliction.
Therfor nyle thou preie for this puple, and take thou not heriyng and preier for hem; for Y schal not here in the tyme of the cry of hem to me, in the tyme of the turment of hem.
15 D'où vient que ma bien-aimée a commis l'abomination dans ma demeure? Les prières ou les chairs sanctifiées effaceront-elles les malices ou te les feront-elles éviter?
What is it, that my derlyng doith many greet trespassis in myn hous? whether hooli fleischis schulen do awei fro thee thi malice, in which thou hast glorie?
16 Le Seigneur t'a donné le nom d'olivier, beau à la vue et donnant un bon ombrage; mais au bruit de son ébranchement, un feu a été allumé contre lui; grande est ton affliction, car ses rameaux sont devenus inutiles.
The Lord clepide thi name an olyue tre, fair, ful of fruyt, schapli; at the vois of a greet speche fier brent an hiy ther ynne, and the buyschis therof ben brent.
17 Et le Seigneur, qui t'avait plantée, a prononcé des maux contre toi en punition de ta méchanceté, maison d'Israël, et de la tienne, maison de Juda; car ils se sont nui à eux-mêmes pour m'irriter, en brûlant de l'encens à Baal.
And the Lord of oostis that plauntide thee, spak yuel on thee, for the yuels of the hous of Israel, and of the hous of Juda, whiche thei diden to hem silf, and offriden to Baalym, to terre me to wraththe.
18 Seigneur, instruisez-moi, et je saurai. Et alors j'ai vu leurs machinations contre moi.
Forsothe, Lord, thou schewidist to me, and Y knew; thou schewidist to me the studies of hem.
19 Mais moi, comme un agneau innocent conduit au sacrifice, je ne remarquais rien. Ils avaient conçu contre moi un mauvais dessein, disant: Allons, mêlons du bois à son pain, effaçons-le de la terre des vivants, et que nul ne se souvienne de son nom.
And Y am as a mylde lomb, which is borun to slayn sacrifice; and Y knew not, that thei thouyten counsels on me, and seiden, Sende we a tre in to the brede of hym, and rase we hym awei fro the lond of lyueris, and his name be no more hadde in mynde.
20 Seigneur, qui jugez selon la justice, qui sondez les reins et les cœurs, puissé-je voir la vengeance que vous tirerez d'eux; car je vous ai exposé ma cause.
But thou, Lord of oostis, that demest iustli, and preuest reynes and hertis, se Y thi veniaunce of hem; for to thee Y schewide my cause.
21 A cause de cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur contre les hommes d'Anathoth qui en veulent à ma vie, et qui disent: Tu cesseras de prophétiser au nom du Seigneur, sinon tu périras de nos mains.
Therfor the Lord seith these thingis to the men of Anathot, that seken thi lijf, and seien, Thou schalt not prophesie in the name of the Lord, and thou schalt not die in oure hondis.
22 Et moi, voilà que je les visiterai; leurs jeunes gens mourront par le glaive, et leurs fils et leurs filles mourront de faim.
Therfor the Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal visite on hem; the yonge men of hem schulen die bi swerd, the sones of hem and the douytris of hem schulen die for hungur;
23 Et il ne restera rien d'eux, parce que je vais amener des maux sur les habitants d'Anathoth, en l'année où je les visiterai.
and no relifs, ether children abidynge, schulen be of hem; for Y schal bringe ynne yuel on the men of Anathot, the yeer of the visitacioun of hem.
