Isaïe 61
1 L'Esprit du Seigneur est sur moi; c'est pourquoi il m'a consacré de son onction; il m'a envoyé pour évangéliser les pauvres, guérir les cœurs contrits, annoncer aux captifs la délivrance, et aux aveugles la vue;
The Spirit of the Lord Eternal is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to announce good tidings unto the meek: he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim to captives Liberty, and to prisoners Release;
2 Pour publier l'année agréable au Seigneur, et le jour de la rétribution, et consoler tous les affligés;
To proclaim a year of favor of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all mourners;
3 Pour donner aux affligés de Sion, au lieu de cendres la gloire; au lieu des larmes, l'onction de la joie; au lieu d'un cœur affligé, un vêtement de gloire; et ils seront appelés générations de justice, plantes du Seigneur pour sa gloire.
To grant unto the mourners of Zion, —to give unto them ornament in the place of ashes, oil of gladness in the place of mourning, garments of praise in the place of a grieved spirit; that they may be called, Oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
4 Et ils rebâtiront des places depuis longtemps désertes; ils relèveront celles qui avaient été abandonnées jadis et désolées pendant des générations.
And they shall build up the ancient ruins, desolate places of former times shall they raise up, and they shall renew ruined cities, the desolate places of many generations.
5 Et les étrangers viendront paître tes brebis, et les fils des Philistins seront tes laboureurs et tes vignerons.
And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your ploughmen and your vintners.
6 Et vous, vous serez appelés prêtres du Seigneur, ministres de Dieu; vous vous nourrirez de la force des Gentils, et leurs richesses vous feront admirer.
But ye, ye shall be called, Priests of the Lord; Ministers of our God, shall be said unto you: the wealth of nations shall ye consume, and in their glory shall ye be placed as possessors.
7 Ainsi, pour la seconde fois, ils auront la terre pour héritage, et leur tête sera couronnée d'une joie éternelle.
In the place of your twofold shame, —and the confusion of which they loudly complained as their portion: therefore in their land shall they possess a twofold [portion]; everlasting joy shall be granted unto them.
8 Car moi je suis le Seigneur, j'aime la justice et je déteste les rapines de l'iniquité. Je donnerai aux justes le fruit de leur labeur, et je ferai avec eux une alliance éternelle.
For I the Lord love justice, I hate robbery with burnt-offering: therefore will I give them the recompense of their work in truth, and an everlasting covenant will I make with them.
9 Et on reconnaîtra leur race parmi les Gentils, et leurs enfants au milieu des peuples. Quiconque les verra les reconnaîtra, parce que c'est une semence bénie de Dieu.
And among the nations shall their seed be known, and their offspring in the midst of the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed whom the Lord hath blessed.
10 Et ils se réjouiront dans la joie du Seigneur. Que mon âme se réjouisse donc dans le Seigneur; car il m'a revêtu d'un manteau de salut et d'une tunique d'allégresse; il m'a mis la mitre d'un jeune époux; et toute la parure d'une jeune épousée.
I will be greatly glad in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, with the mantle of righteousness hath he enveloped me, as a bridegroom decketh himself with elegant attire, and as a bride adorneth herself with her bridal array.
11 Telle la terre fait croître ses fleurs, et le jardin ses semences; tel le Seigneur Maître fera fleurir la justice et la joie aux yeux de tous les Gentils.
For, as the earth bringeth forth her growth, and as a garden causeth what is sown therein to spring forth: thus will the Lord Eternal cause righteousness and praise to spring forth in the presence of all the nations.
