Genèse 7
1 Dieu dit alors à Noé: Entre dans l'arche avec toute ta maison, parce que parmi toute cette race, je t'ai vu juste devant moi.
And YHWH says to Noah, “Come, you and all your house, into the Ark, for I have seen you [are] righteous before Me in this generation;
2 De tous les bestiaux purs introduis auprès de toi sept couples, mâles et femelles, et de tous les animaux impurs deux couples mâles et femelles;
you take seven pairs from all the clean beasts to yourself, a male and its female; and of the beasts which are not clean—two, a male and its female;
3 De tous les oiseaux purs du ciel sept couples mâles et femelles, et de tous les oiseaux impurs deux couples mâles et femelles, afin d'en conserver la semence pour toute la terre.
also, seven pairs from [each] bird of the heavens, a male and a female, to keep alive seed on the face of all the earth;
4 Car, encore sept jours, et je ferai tomber la pluie sur toute la terre, quarante jours et quarante nuits; et j'effacerai de la face de toute la terre tout ce qui s'y élève et que j'ai fait.
for after seven more days I am sending rain on the earth [for] forty days and forty nights, and have wiped away all the substance that I have made from off the face of the ground.”
5 Noé fit tout ce que lui ordonna le Seigneur Dieu.
And Noah does according to all that YHWH has commanded him.
6 Il était âgé de six cents ans, lorsque le déluge vint sur la terre.
And Noah [is] a son of six hundred years, and the flood of waters has been on the earth.
7 Bientôt Noé, et avec lui ses fils, et sa femme, et les femmes de ses fils entrèrent dans l'arche, à cause de l'eau du déluge.
And Noah goes—and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him—into the Ark, out of the presence of the waters of the flood;
8 De tous les oiseaux purs et de tous les oiseaux impurs, de tous les bestiaux puis et de tous les bestiaux impurs, ainsi que de tous les animaux qui rampent sur la terre,
from the clean beast, and from the beast that [is] not clean, and from the bird, and of everything that is creeping on the ground,
9 Deux couples mâles et femelles entrèrent auprès de Noé dans l'arche, selon que le Seigneur avait prescrit à Noé.
they have come to Noah two by two into the Ark, a male and a female, as God has commanded Noah.
10 Et après que les sept jours furent passés, l'eau du déluge vint sur la terre.
And it comes to pass, after seven days, that waters of the flood have been on the earth.
11 L'an six cent de la vie de Noé, le vingt-septième jour de la seconde lune, toutes les sources de l'abîme jaillirent et les cataractes du ciel furent rompues.
In the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all [the] fountains of the great deep have been broken up, and the network of the heavens has been opened,
12 La pluie tomba sur la terre quarante jours et quarante nuits.
and the shower is on the earth [for] forty days and forty nights.
13 En ces jours-là, Noé, Sem, Cham, Japhet, fils de Noé, la femme de Noé et les trois femmes de ses fils, étaient entrés dans l'arche.
On this very same day Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the Ark—
14 Et toutes les bêtes fauves, par espèces; tous les bestiaux, par espèces; tous les reptiles se traînant à terre, par espèces; tous les oiseaux ailés, par espèces;
they, and every living creature after its kind, and every beast after its kind, and every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind (every bird, every wing).
15 Étaient entrés auprès de Noé, dans l'arche, par deux couples, mâles et femelles, de toute chair en laquelle était souffle de vie.
And they come to Noah, into the Ark, two by two of all the flesh in which [is] a living spirit;
16 Tous les mâles et femelles de toute chair étaient donc entrés dans l'arche, selon ce que le Seigneur avait prescrit à Noé, et le Seigneur Dieu avait fermé l'arche en dehors.
and they that are coming in, male and female of all flesh, have come in as God has commanded him, and YHWH closes [it] for him.
17 Et le déluge fut sur toute la terre quarante jours et quarante nuits; l'eau se gonfla, et emporta l'arche qui s'éleva bien au-dessus de la terre.
And the flood is on the earth [for] forty days, and the waters multiply and lift up the Ark, and it is raised up from off the earth;
18 Et l'eau dominait; elle montait, montait toujours sur la terre, et l'arche était portée sur la surface de l'eau.
and the waters are mighty and multiply exceedingly on the earth; and the Ark goes on the face of the waters.
19 Et l'eau dominait beaucoup, beaucoup sur la terre; et elle couvrait toutes les hautes montagnes qui étaient sous le ciel.
And the waters have been very, very mighty on the earth, and all the high mountains are covered which [are] under the whole heavens;
20 L'eau s'éleva à quinze coudées au-dessus de leur sommet.
the waters prevailed from above the mountains, and cover [them] fifteen cubits;
21 Alors mourut toute chair se mouvant sur la terre, oiseaux et bestiaux, bêtes fauves et reptiles se traînant à terre, et tout homme.
and all flesh expires that is moving on the earth, among bird, and among livestock, and among beast, and among every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth, and all mankind;
22 Tout ce qui avait souffle de vie, et tout ce qui vivait sur la terre ferme mourut.
all in whose nostrils [is] breath of a living spirit—of all that [is] in the dry land—have died.
23 L'eau effaça tout ce qui se mouvait sur la face de la terre, depuis l'homme jusqu'aux bestiaux, tous les reptiles, et les oiseaux du ciel. Ils furent tous effacés de la terre. Noé seul resta, et ceux qui étaient dans l'arche avec lui.
And all the substance that is on the face of the ground is wiped away—from man to beast, to creeping thing, and to bird of the heavens; indeed, they are wiped away from the earth, and only Noah is left, and those who [are] with him in the Ark;
24 L'eau se maintint au-dessus de la terre cent cinquante jours.
and the waters are mighty on the earth [for] one hundred and fifty days.
