Genèse 46
1 Israël étant parti avec tout ce qu'il possédait, arriva au puits du Serment, et il offrit un sacrifice au Dieu de son père Isaac.
Israel toke his iourney with all that he had and came vnto Berseba and offred offrynges vnto the God of his father Isaac.
2 Et Dieu, pendant la nuit, parla, en une vision, à Israël, disant: Jacob, Jacob; celui-ci répondit: Qu'y a-t-il?
And God sayde vnto Israel in a vision by nyghte and called vnto him: Iacob Iacob. And he answered: here am I.
3 Le Seigneur lui dit: Je suis le Dieu de tes pères, ne crains pas de descendre en Égypte, je t'y ferai chef d'une grande nation.
And he sayde: I am that mightie God of thy father feare not to goo downe in to Egipte. For I will make of the there a great people.
4 Je descendrai avec toi en Égypte, et je ne cesserai de te grandir jusqu'à ta mort, et Joseph te fermera les yeux.
I will go downe with ye in to Egipte and I will also bringe the vp agayne and Ioseph shall put his hand apon thine eyes.
5 Jacob se leva du puits du Serment, et les fils d'Israël firent monter leur père, avec ses femmes et ses richesses, sur les chars que Joseph avait envoyés pour les transporter.
And Iacob rose vp from Berseba. And ye sonnes of Israel I caried Iacob their father ad their childern and their wyues in the charettes which Pharao had sent to carie him.
6 Et ayant pris tout ce qui leur appartenait, tout le bétail qu'ils avaient acquis dans la terre de Chanaan, ils entrèrent en Égypte: Jacob, et, avec lui, toute sa race,
And they toke their catell ad the goodes which they had gotten in the land of Canaan and came in to Egipte: both Iacob and all his seed with him
7 Ses fils et les fils de ses fils, ses filles et les filles de ses filles; car il avait conduit en Égypte toute sa race.
his sonnes and his sonnes sonnes with him: his doughters and his sonnes doughters and all his seed brought he with him in to Egipte.
8 Or, voici les noms des fils d'Israël entrés en Égypte avec Jacob leur père. Jacob et ses fils: premier-né de Jacob, Ruben.
These are the names of the childern of Israel which came in to Egipte both Iacob and his sonnes: Rube Iacobs first sonne.
9 Fils de Ruben: Enoch et Phallos, Asron et Charmi.
The childern of Ruben: Hanoch Pallu Hezron and Charmi.
10 Fils de Siméon: Jémuël, Jamin, Aod, Achin, Saar et Saül, nés de Chananitis.
The childern of Simeon: Iemuel Iamin Ohad Iachin Zohar and Saul the sonne of a Cananitish woman
11 Fils de Lévi: Gerson, Caath et Méravi.
The childern of Leui: Gerson Rahath and Merari.
12 Fils de Juda: Her, Onan, Séla, Pharès et Zara; Onan et Her étaient morts en la terre de Chanaan; et de Pharès naquirent Esron et Jémuël.
The childern of Iuda: Er Onan Sela Pharez and Zerah but Er and Onan dyed in the lande of Canaan. The childern of Pharez Hezro and Hamul.
13 Fils d'Issachar: Thola, Phua, Asum et Sambran.
The childern of Isachar: Tola Phuva Iob and Semnon.
14 Fils de Zabulon: Sered, Allon et Achœl.
The childern of Sebulon: Sered Elon and Iaheleel.
15 Ceux-là sont nés de Lia, qui les enfanta à Jacob en la Mésopotamie syrienne, outre Dina leur fille; total des âmes, fils et filles: trente- trois.
These be the childern of Lea which she bare vnto Iacob in Mesopotamia with his doughter Dina. All these soulles of his sonnes and doughters make. xxx and. vi.
16 Fils de Gad: Saphon, Aggis, Sannis, Thasoban, Aëdis, Aroëdis et Areëlis.

17 Fils d'Aser: Jemnia, Jessua, Jéhul, Baria et Sara, leur sœur; fils de Baria: Chobor et Melchil.
The childern of Asser: Iemna Iesua Iesui Brya and Serah their sister. And the childern of Brya were Heber and Malchiel.
18 Ceux-là sont nés de Zelpha, que Laban donna à Lia, sa fille; et elle enfanta ses fils à Jacob: onze âmes.
These are the childern of Silpha whom Laba gaue to Lea his doughter. And these she bare vnto Iacob in nombre xvi. soules.
19 Fils de Rachel, femme de Jacob: Joseph et Benjamin.
The childern of Rahel Iacobs wife: Ioseph and ben Iamin.
20 Fils de Joseph en la terre d'Égypte, nés d'Aseneth, fille de Pétéphrès, prêtre d'Héliopolis: Manassé et Éphraïm; fils de Manassé, né de sa femme syrienne: Machir, et Machir engendra Galaad. Fils d'Éphraïm, frère de Manassé: Sutalani et Taam; fils de Sutalani: Edom.
And vnto Ioseph in the lode of Egipte were borne: Manasses and Ephraim which Asnath the doughter of Potiphera preast of On bare vnto him.
21 Fils de Benjamin: Bala, Bochor et Asbel; fils de Bala: Géra, Noénian, Anchis, Rhos et Mamphini; Géra engendra Arad.
The childern of BenIamin: Bela Becher Asbel Gera Naeman Ehi Ros Mupim Hupim and Aro.
22 Ceux-là sont nés de Rachel, qui enfanta ses fils à Jacob; total: dix- huit âmes.
These are the childern of Rahel which were borne vnto Iacob: xiiij. soules all to gether.
23 Fils de Dan: Asom.
The childern of Dan: Husim.
24 Fils de Nephthali: Asiel, Goni, Issaar, Sollem.
The childern of Nepthali? Iahezeel Guni Iezer and Sillem.
25 Ceux-là sont nés de Balla, que Laban donna à Rachel, sa fille, qui les enfanta à Jacob; total des âmes: sept.
These are the sonnes of Bilha which Laban gaue vnto Rahel his doughter and she bare these vnto Iacob all together. vij. soulles
26 Et toutes les âmes issues de Jacob entrèrent avec lui en Égypte, au nombre de soixante-six, outre les femmes des fils de Jacob.
All the soulles that came with Iacob into Egipte which came out of his loyns (besyde his sonnes wifes) were all togither. lx. and. vi. soulles.
27 Les fils de Joseph, nés de lui en la terre d'Égypte, étaient au nombre de neuf. Il y avait donc, de la maison de Jacob, soixante-quinze âmes en Égypte.
And the sonnes of Ioseph which were borne him in egipte were. ij. soules: So that all the soulles of the house of Iacob which came in to Egipte are lxx.
28 Jacob envoya devant lui Juda à la rencontre de Joseph, vers la ville des héros, en la terre de Rhamessès.
And he sent Iuda before him vnto Ioseph that the waye myghte be shewed him vnto Gosan and they came in to the lande of Gosan
29 De son côté, Joseph, ayant attelé son char, alla vers la ville des héros, à la rencontre de son père, et dès qu'il eut vu son père, il lui sauta au cou en versant d'abondantes larmes.
And Ioseph made redie his charett and went agaynst Israell his father vnto Gosan ad presented him selfe vnto him and fell on his necke and wepte vpon his necke a goode whyle.
30 Et Israël dit à Joseph: Je puis maintenant mourir, puisque j'ai vu ton visage, et que tu vis encore.
And Israel sayd vnto Ioseph: Now I am cotet to dye in somoch I haue sene the that thou art yet alyue.
31 Joseph dit à ses frères: Je vais rapporter toutes choses au Pharaon, et lui dire: Mes frères et la maison de mon père, qui étaient en la terre de Chanaan, sont venus près de moi.
And Ioseph sayde vnto his brethre and vnto his fathers house: I will goo and shewe Pharao and tell him: that my brethern and my fathers housse which were in the lade of Canaan are come vnto me
32 Ce sont des pasteurs: ils étaient nourrisseurs de bétail, et ils ont amené leurs troupeaux, leurs bœufs et tout ce qu'ils possèdent.
and how they are shepardes (for they were men of catell) and they haue brought their shepe and their oxen and all that they haue with them.
33 Lors donc que le Pharaon vous appellera et vous dira: Quel est votre labeur?
Yf Pharao call you and axe you what youre occupation
34 Dites: Tes serviteurs sont pâtres; nous l'avons toujours été depuis notre enfance jusqu'à ce jour, nous et nos pères. Après cela, vous habiterez la terre de Gessen, car les Égyptiens ont en abomination tous les pasteurs de troupeaux.
is saye: thi seruauntes haue bene occupyed aboute catell fro oure chilhode vnto this tyme: both we and oure fathers that ye maye dwell in the lande of Gosan. For an abhominacyon vnto the Egiptians are all that feade shepe.
