Ézéchiel 6
1 Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
Yahweh gave me another message. He said,
2 Fils de l'homme, tourne la face contre les monts d'Israël, et prophétise contre eux.
“You human, turn toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy [what will happen to] them, and say,
3 Et dis-leur: Montagnes d'Israël, écoutez la parole du Seigneur. Ainsi dit le Seigneur aux montagnes, aux collines, aux vallons et aux forêts: Voilà que j'amène contre vous le glaive, et vos hauts lieux seront détruits.
‘You mountains and hills of Israel [APO], listen to what Yahweh the Lord says to you: “I am about to [enemy soldiers with] swords to come and destroy [the shrines on] your hilltops.
4 Et vos autels seront brisés, et vos enclos détruits; et je jetterai vos cadavres en face de vos idoles.
They will smash all the [for worshiping idols] and the altars for burning incense. And they will [many Israeli] people in front of those idols.
5 Et je disperserai vos ossements autour de vos autels,
Their corpses will lie in front of their idols, and their bones will be scattered around their altars.
6 Et dans toutes vos demeures. Vos villes seront dépeuplées et vos hauts lieux abolis, afin que vos autels soient abattus, vos idoles brisées et vos enclos détruits.
Wherever the Israelis live, their towns will be ruined, and the shrines where they worship idols will be smashed. Their altars will be completely smashed [DOU], their idols will be completely smashed [DOU], and everything that they own will become a pile of ruins.
7 Et les cadavres tomberont au milieu de vous, et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur.
Many of their people will be killed; and then they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do the things that I say that I will do].
8 Quand ceux de vous qui auront échappé au glaive seront parmi les nations, pendant votre dispersion dans les royaumes,
But I will allow some of the Israelis to remain alive. They will escape being killed when their enemies scatter them among many other nations.
9 Ceux de vous qui auront échappé et qui seront captifs parmi les nations se souviendront de moi. J'ai juré contre leur cœur, qui s'est prostitué loin de moi, contre leurs yeux, qui se sont prostitués à leurs désirs. Et ils se frapperont au visage en souvenir de toutes leurs abominations.
When that happens, in those nations to which they have been forced to go, those who have escaped from being killed will think about me. They will remember that I was very grieved because of their turning away from me [IDM] with their inner beings, and because they very much desired [IDM] to worship their idols. They will (hate/be very displeased with) themselves because of the evil and detestable things that they have done.
10 Et ils reconnaîtront que moi, le Seigneur, j'ai parlé.
[they will realize that] I, Yahweh, [have punished them. They will realize that] when I threatened to punish them, I surely intended [LIT] to do that.
11 Voici ce que dit le Seigneur: Bats des mains, frappe du pied, et dis: Malheur, malheur sur toutes les abominations de la maison d'Israël! Ils périront par le glaive, par la peste et par la famine.
So this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, [to you, Ezekiel]: ‘Wring your hands and stamp your feet and cry [to show that you are distressed], and [about what will happen to] your Israeli people [MTY] because of all their wicked and detestable behavior. They will be killed [their enemies’] swords, they will die from hunger, and they will die from plagues.
12 Celui qui est près tombera sous le glaive; celui qui est loin périra par la peste; et celui qui est assiégé mourra de faim. Et j'assouvirai sur eux ma colère.
Those who are far [from Jerusalem] will die from plagues, those who are close [to Jerusalem] will be killed by [their enemies’] swords, and those who are still alive will die from hunger. That is how I will punish [MTY] them.
13 Et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur, quand vos cadavres seront au milieu de vos idoles, autour de vos autels sur toute haute colline, sous chaque arbre touffu, où ils offraient les odeurs de l'encens à toutes leurs idoles.
[Some of] your people’s corpses will lie among their idols around their altars, on every high hilltop and on all the mountaintops, under every big tree [DOU]—at all the places where they burned incense [honor] their idols. Then they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
14 Et j'étendrai la main sur eux, et je désolerai la terre, et je la ruinerai dans toutes ses demeures à partir du désert de Déblatha. Et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur.
And I will stretch out my arm and cause your entire country to become an empty wasteland, from the [in the far south] to [town in the far north]. Then they will realize that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do the things that I say that I will do].’”
