Ézéchiel 47

1 Et il me conduisit sous les portiques du temple; et là de l'eau sortait de la cour et coulait à l'orient; car la façade du temple regardait l'orient, et l'eau descendait à droite au midi de l'autel.

Then the man took me back to the entrance to the temple, and there was water flowing out from under the temple threshold of the house toward the east—for the front of the temple faced east—and the water was flowing down the south side of the temple, to the right of the altar.

2 Et il me fit sortir par le chemin de la porte de l'aquilon; et il me fit tourner par le chemin extérieur jusqu'à la porte du parvis qui regarde l'orient, et voilà que l'eau coulait du côté droit,

So he brought me out through the northern gate and led around to the gate facing east, and there the water was flowing from this gate on its south side.

3 Dans la direction qu'avait prise l'homme en sortant, et devant lui; or il tenait à la main son cordeau, et il mesura mille coudées, et il traversa l'eau, cette eau qui jaillissait de la cour.

As the man was going toward the east, there was a measuring line in his hand; he measured off one thousand cubits and brought me through the water to ankle-deep water.

4 Et il mesura mille coudées, et il traversa l'eau, et il en eut jusqu'aux cuisses. Et il mesura mille coudées, et il traversa l'eau, et il en eut jusqu'aux reins.

Then he measured one thousand cubits again and brought me through the water to knee-deep water; and he measured another thousand cubits and brought me to hip-deep water.

5 Et il mesura mille coudées, et il ne put traverser, parce que l'eau débordait comme un torrent infranchissable.

Next he measured off another thousand cubits, but it was a river that I could not cross through because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—it was a river that could not be crossed.

6 Et il me dit: As-tu vu, fils de l'homme? et il me guida, et il me ramena sur la rive du fleuve

The man said to me, “Son of man, do you see this?” and he brought me out and had me walk back along the riverbank.

7 Par laquelle je pouvais revenir. Et voilà qu'il y avait sur les deux rives du fleuve une grande multitude d'arbres.

As I walked back, there the riverbank had many trees on this side and also the other side.

8 Et il me dit: Cette eau sort de la Galilée, qui est vers l'Orient, puis elle descend vers l'Arabie, et va jusqu'à la mer, jusqu'à l'eau qui en sort, et elle assainira toutes les eaux.

The man said to me, “This water is going out to the eastern territory and down to the Arabah; this water flows into the Salt Sea and will make it fresh.

9 Et ceci arrivera: toute âme de créature vivant et se mourant sur tout lieu où ce fleuve passera, vivra; et il y aura là une multitude de poissons, parce que l'eau y sera venue; et où sera passé le fleuve tout être sera sain, et il vivra, et il vivra en ce lieu.

It will be that every living creature that swarms will live where the water goes; there will be many fish, for these waters flow there. It will make the salt water fresh. Everything will live wherever the river goes.

10 Et il y viendra des pêcheurs depuis Engaddi jusqu'à Engallim; et le long de ce fleuve ils feront sécher leurs filets; et ses poissons seront, comme ceux de la grande mer, en grande multitude.

Then it will happen that fishermen of En Gedi will stand by the water, and there will be a place to dry out the fishing nets by En Eglaim. There will be many kinds of fish in the Salt Sea, like the fish in the Great Sea for their abundance.

11 Et à son embouchure et dans ses détours, et dans ses débordements, ses eaux ne seront point assainies; on s'en servira pour en tirer le sel.

But the Salt Sea's swamps and marshes will not be made fresh; they will be for providing salt.

12 Et tout arbre fruitier croîtra au bord du fleuve sur ses deux rives; nul n'y dépérira et n'y manquera de fruits; dès sa première pousse, il produira, parce que les eaux qui l'arrosent sortent du lieu saint; et ses fruits seront bons à manger, et ses feuilles rendront la santé.

Beside this river on its banks, on both sides, all kinds of trees will grow that bear food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will never fail to grow. Each month the trees will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves will be for healing.

13 Voici ce que dit le Seigneur: Je vais vous indiquer les limites de cette terre que vous vous partagerez au cordeau, entre les douze tribus des fils d'Israël.

The Lord Yahweh says this: This will be the way that you divide the land up for the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph will have two portions.

14 Et dans ce partage chacun aura autant que son frère, de cette terre sur laquelle j'ai levé la main pour la donner à vos pères; et elle sera votre héritage.

You are to divide equally what I lifted up my hand and swore to give to your fathers. This land will come to you as an inheritance.

15 Et voici les limites de cette terre à l'aquilon: depuis la grande mer, qui s'y enfonce et forme un golfe à l'entrée d'Émaseldam

This will be the boundary of the land on the north side from the Great Sea by way of Hethlon, and then to Zedad.

16 Maabthéras, Hébraméliam, entre les confins de Damas et ceux d'Emath, le val de Saunan; le tout au-dessus des confins de l'Anranitide.

Then the boundary will go to Berothah, to Sibraim, which is between Damascus and Hamath, and then to Hazer Hattikon, which is beside the boundary of Hauran.

17 Voilà les limites depuis la mer; depuis le val d'Enan, ce sont les confins de Damas et les limites du côté de l'aquilon.

So the boundary will go from the sea to Hazar Enan on the border with Damascus and Hamath to the north. This will be the north side.

18 Celles du côté du levant passeront entre la Loranitide, Damas, la Galaaditide, et entre la terre d'Israël; le Jourdain les limitera vers la mer qui est au levant de la ville des Palmiers. Voilà les limites à l'orient.

On the east side the boundary will run between Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan River between Gilead and the land of Israel. You will measure from the border to the eastern sea. This will be the eastern border.

19 Celles du midi et du sud-ouest s'étendront de Théman et de la ville des Palmiers, jusqu'aux eaux de Barimoth-Cadès, d'où elles rejoindront la grande mer.

Then on the south side the boundary will run from Tamar as far as the waters of Meribah Kadesh, then along the brook of Egypt to the Great Sea. This will be the boundary on the south side.

20 Telle est la limite du. sud et du sud-ouest; celle de l'occident est la grande mer elle-même; elle va jusqu'au golfe d'Emath; telle est la limite vers la mer d'Émath.

Then the boundary on the west side will be the Great Sea to a point opposite Lebo Hamath. This will be the west side.

21 Et vous partagerez pour eux cette terre entre les tribus d'Israël.

In this way you will divide this land for yourselves, for the tribes of Israel.

22 Vous les partagerez au sort, pour vous et pour les étrangers qui résident parmi vous, et qui ont eu des enfants au milieu de vous; et ils seront pour vous comme des indigènes au milieu des fils d'Israël. Ils mangeront avec vous les fruits de votre héritage au milieu des fils d'Israël.

So you will distribute the inheritances for yourselves and for the foreigners in your midst, those who have given birth to children in your midst and who are, with you, like the native born people of Israel. You will cast lots for inheritances among the tribes of Israel.

23 Et dans la tribu où se trouveront des prosélytes, vous leur donnerez un héritage, dit le Seigneur Dieu.

Then it will happen that the foreigner will be with the tribe among whom he is living. You must give him an inheritance—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.”
