Ézéchiel 30

1 Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

2 Fils de l'homme, prophétise et dis: Voici ce que dit le Seigneur: Malheur, malheur en ce jour!

Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Howl ye, Alas for the day!

3 Car le jour du Seigneur est proche; c'est un jour de nuages; c'est la fin des nations.

For the day is at hand, yea, the day of Jehovah is at hand, a day of clouds; it shall be the time of the nations.

4 Et le glaive viendra sur l'Égypte, et le trouble sera dans l'Éthiopie, et les morts tomberont tous à la fois en la terre d'Égypte, et avec eux tomberont ses fondements.

And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and there shall be anguish in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be overthrown.

5 Perses et Crétois, Lydiens et Libyens, et tous ceux parmi les fils de mon alliance qui se seront mêlés à ces peuples, périront chez elle par le glaive.

Cush, and Phut, and Lud, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the children of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

6 Et les appuis de l'Égypte s'écrouleront, et l'orgueil de sa force sera abaissé de Magdolos à Syène; et ils périront par le glaive, dit le Seigneur.

Thus saith Jehovah: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her strength shall come down: from Migdol to Syene shall they fall in her by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah.

7 Et elle sera au rang des terres désertes, et ses villes au rang des villes désertes.

And they shall be desolated in the midst of the countries that are desolated, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

8 Et l'on saura que je suis le Seigneur, lorsque j'aurai lancé le feu sur l'Égypte et que tous ceux qui lui portent secours seront brisés.

And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers shall be broken.

9 En ce jour, des messagers partiront rapidement pour détruire l'Éthiopie, et le trouble sera en elle au jour fatal de l'Égypte; et voilà que ce jour approche.

In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships, to make careless Ethiopia afraid; and anguish shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for behold, it cometh!

10 Voici ce que dit le Seigneur Maître: Je détruirai la multitude des Égyptiens par la main de Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone,

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.

11 Par sa main et celle de son peuple, comme des fléaux envoyés des nations pour détruire la terre. Et tous s'avanceront l'épée nue sur l'Égypte, et la terre sera pleine de blessés.

He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with slain.

12 Et je dessècherai leurs fleuves, et je détruirai leur terre et leur richesse, par les mains des étrangers; moi, le Seigneur, j'ai parlé.

And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked; and I will make the land desolate, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I Jehovah have spoken [it].

13 Car voici ce que dit le Seigneur Maître: Je détruirai les grands de Memphis, et les princes de Memphis de la terre d'Égypte, et ils ne seront plus.

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause the images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince out of the land of Egypt; and I will put fear in the land of Egypt.

14 Et je détruirai la terre de Phathorès, et je lancerai le feu contre Taphnis, et je tirerai vengeance de Memphis.

And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set a fire in Zoan, and will execute judgment in No.

15 Et je verserai ma colère sur Saïs, la force de l'Égypte, et je détruirai la multitude de Memphis.

And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the stronghold of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

16 Et je lancerai le feu sur l'Égypte, et Syène sera dans un grand trouble, et il y aura une inondation à Diospolis, et les eaux s'y répandront.

And I will set a fire in Egypt: Sin shall be in great anguish, and No shall be rent asunder, and at Noph [there shall be] enemies in open day.

17 Les jeunes hommes d'Héliopolis et de Bubaste périront par le glaive, et les femmes s'en iront en captivité.

The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword; and these shall go into captivity.

18 Et le jour sera obscurci à Taphnis lorsque j'y briserai les sceptres de l'Égypte, et que l'orgueil de la force de l'Égypte y sera abattu, et une nuée l'enveloppera, et ses filles seront emmenées captives:

And at Tehaphnehes the day shall be darkened, when I break there the yokes of Egypt, and the pride of her strength shall cease in her; as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

19 Et j'exercerai mes jugements contre l'Égypte, et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur.

Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

20 Et en l'année onzième, le premier mois, le septième jour du mois, la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first [month], on the seventh of the month, the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

21 Fils de l'homme, j'ai brisé les bras du Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, et voilà qu'il n'a point été entouré de bandes pour que ses plaies guérissent, pour qu'un baume y soit appliqué, pour qu'il recouvre la force de tenir un glaive.

Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and behold, it shall not be bound up to apply remedies, to put a bandage to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.

22 À cause de cela, ainsi dit le Seigneur Maître: Voilà que je suis contre le Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, et je briserai ses bras forts et tendus, et je ferai tomber l'épée de sa main.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong one, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

23 Et je disperserai l'Égypte parmi les nations, et je les vannerai sur la terre;

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

24 Et je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, et je lui mettrai le glaive à la main, et il le promènera sur l'Égypte, et il fera de l'Égypte sa proie, et il en enlèvera des dépouilles.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand; and I will break Pharaoh's arms, so that he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly-wounded [man].

25 Et je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, et les bras du Pharaon tomberont défaillants, et l'on saura que je suis le Seigneur, quand j'aurai mis mon glaive à la main du roi de Babylone, et qu'il l'étendra sur la terre d'Égypte.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall have stretched it out upon the land of Egypt.

26 Et je disperserai l'Égypte parmi les nations, et je les vannerai sur la terre; et ils sauront tous que je suis le Seigneur.

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them through the countries: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.
