Ézéchiel 22
1 Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
Moreover, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
2 Et toi, fils de l'homme, ne jugeras-tu pas une ville de sang?
Now thou sonne of man, wilt thou iudge, wilt thou iudge this bloody citie? wilt thou shew her all her abominations?
3 Montre-lui toutes ses iniquités, et dis-lui: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Maître: Malheur à toi, ville, qui dans ton sein verses le sang pour que ton temps arrive, et qui t'es forgé des idoles pour te souiller
Then say, Thus sayth the Lord God, The citie sheddeth blood in the middes of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against her selfe to pollute her selfe.
4 Du sang de tes enfants que tu as répandu! Tu es tombée et tu t'es souillée, en te forgeant des idoles; tu as avancé tes jours, et hâté le temps de tes années. À cause de cela, je t'ai livrée aux outrages des gentils; et on fera de toi un sujet de raillerie en tous les royaumes
Thou hast offended in thy blood, that thou hast shed, and hast polluted thy selfe in thine idols, which thou hast made, and thou hast caused thy dayes to draw neere, and art come vnto thy terme: therefore haue I made thee a reproch to the heathen, and a mocking to all countreys.
5 Qui t'avoisinent, et en ceux qui sont loin de toi; et l'on se moquera de toi, toi que l'on appelle impure et féconde en iniquités.
Those that be neere, and those that be farre from thee, shall mocke thee, which art vile in name and sore in affliction.
6 Voilà que les princes de la maison d'Israël, chacun avec sa famille, ont conspiré en toi, afin de verser le sang.
Beholde, the princes of Israel euery one in thee was ready to his power, to shed blood.
7 C'est chez toi qu'ils ont médit de leur père et de leur mère, qu'ils ont été iniques envers l'étranger, et qu'ils ont opprimé l'orphelin et la veuve.
In thee haue they despised father and mother: in the middes of thee haue they oppressed the stranger: in thee haue they vexed the fatherlesse and the widowe.
8 Et ils ont méprisé mes choses saintes, et ils ont profané mes sabbats.
Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast polluted my Sabbaths.
9 Chez toi il est des voleurs prompts à verser le sang; chez toi ils ont mangé sur les hauts lieux, et ils ont commis des crimes au milieu de toi.
In thee are men that cary tales to shed blood: in thee are they that eate vpon the mountaines: in ye mids of thee they comit abomination.
10 Chez toi ils ont dévoilé la honte de leur père, et ils ont humilié la femme assise en sa souillure.
In thee haue they discouered their fathers shame: in thee haue they vexed her that was polluted in her floures.
11 Chez toi chacun a abusé de la femme de son prochain; chacun a souillé criminellement sa bru; chacun a humilié sa sœur et la fille de son père.
And euery one hath committed abomination with his neighbours wife, and euery one hath wickedly defiled his daughter in lawe, and in thee hath euery man forced his owne sister, euen his fathers daughter.
12 Chez toi ils ont reçu des dons pour verser le sang; chez toi ils ont prêté à usure, et ont reçu plus qu'il ne leur était dû. Et tu as porté la méchanceté au comble par tes actes d'oppression; et moi, tu m'as oublié, dit le Seigneur.
In thee haue they taken giftes to shed blood: thou hast taken vsurie and the encrease, and thou hast defrauded thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.
13 Et si je frappe des mains au sujet des iniquités que tu as consommées, et de ton sang qui a été répandu au milieu de toi,
Beholde, therefore I haue smitten mine hands vpon thy couetousnesse, that thou hast vsed, and vpon the blood, which hath bene in the middes of thee.
14 Ton cœur se soutiendra-t-il? et tes mains conserveront-elles leur force en ces jours que je vais amener sur toi? C'est moi, dit le Seigneur, qui ai parlé, et j'exécuterai.
Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the dayes that I shall haue to doe with thee? I the Lord haue spoken it, and will doe it.
15 Et je te disperserai parmi les gentils, et je te disséminerai en tous les royaumes, et ton impureté te sera ôtée.
And I wil scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countreys, and will cause thy filthines to cease from thee.
16 Et je ferai de toi mon héritage, aux yeux de toutes les nations; et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur.
And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thy selfe in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord.
17 Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
18 Fils de l'homme, voilà que la maison d'Israël est devenue pour moi comme un alliage d'airain, de fer, d'étain et de plomb, mêlé avec de l'argent.
Sonne of man, the house of Israel is vnto me as drosse: all they are brasse, and tinne, and yron, and leade in the mids of the fornace: they are euen the drosse of siluer.
19 À cause de cela, dis-lui: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Maître: Parce que vous ne formez plus qu'un seul alliage, je vous recueillerai au milieu de Jérusalem.
Therefore, thus sayth the Lord God, Because ye are all as drosse, beholde, therefore I will gather you in the middes of Ierusalem.
20 De même que dans la fournaise on rassemble l'argent, l'airain, le fer, l'étain et le plomb, pour souffler sur eux le feu et les fondre; ainsi je vous recueillerai en ma colère, et je vous rassemblerai, et je vous ferai fondre.
As they gather siluer and brasse, and yron, and leade, and tinne into the middes of the fornace, to blowe the fire vpon it to melt it, so wil I gather you in mine anger and in my wrath, and wil put you there and melt you.
21 Et je soufflerai sur vous le feu de ma colère, et vous serez fondus au milieu de Jérusalem.
I wil gather you, I say, and blowe the fire of my wrath vpon you, and you shalbe melted in the mids thereof.
22 De même que l'argent est fondu au milieu d'une fournaise, ainsi vous serez fondus au milieu de Jérusalem, et vous saurez que c'est moi, le Seigneur, qui ai versé sur vous ma colère.
As siluer is melted in the mids of the fornace, so shall ye be melted in the mids thereof, and ye shall knowe, that I the Lord haue powred out my wrath vpon you.
23 Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
24 Fils de l'homme, dis à cette ville: Tu es une terre sans rosée; il n'est point venu de pluie sur toi au jour de ma colère.
Sonne of man, say vnto her; Thou art the land, that is vncleane, and not rained vpon in the day of wrath.
25 Ses princes au milieu d'elle sont comme des lions rugissants, ravissant leur proie, dévorant des âmes en leur violence, et recevant des présents. Et ils ont multiplié tes veuves au milieu de toi.
There is a conspiracie of her prophets in the mids thereof like a roaring lyon, rauening the praye: they haue deuoured soules: they haue taken the riches and precious things: they haue made her many widowes in the mids thereof.
26 Et ses prêtres ont méprisé ma loi, et ils ont profané mes choses saintes. Ils n'ont point distingué le sacré du profane; ils n'ont point distingué le pur de l'impur; ils ont voilé leurs yeux pour ne point voir mes sabbats, et j'ai été déshonoré au milieu d'eux.
Her Priests haue broken my Lawe, and haue defiled mine holy things: they haue put no difference betweene the holy and prophane, neither discerned betweene the vncleane, and the cleane, and haue hid their eyes from my Sabbaths, and I am prophaned among them.
27 Ses princes au milieu d'elle sont comme des loups ravissant leur proie, prêts à verser le sang pour s'emparer du bien d'autrui.
Her princes in the mids thereof are like wolues, rauening the praye to shed blood, and to destroy soules for their owne couetous lucre.
28 Et ses prophètes qui caressent le peuple tomberont; ils ont des visions vaines, et ils annonceront des oracles menteurs, disant: Ainsi parle le Seigneur; quand le Seigneur n'a point parlé.
And her prophets haue dawbed them with vntempered morter, seeing vanities, and diuining lies vnto them, saying, Thus sayth the Lord God, when the Lord had not spoken.
29 Oppresseurs iniques du peuple de la terre, ravisseurs du bien d'autrui, spoliateurs du pauvre et de l'indigent, violateurs de la justice envers l'étranger!
The people of the land haue violently oppressed by spoyling and robbing, and haue vexed the poore and the needy: yea, they haue oppressed the stranger against right.
30 J'ai cherché parmi eux un homme qui revînt à la droiture, qui se tînt devant ma face de toute son âme au temps de ma colère, pour ne point effacer entièrement cette ville, et je ne l'ai pas trouvé.
And I sought for a man among them, that should make vp the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.
31 Et j'ai versé sur elle le feu de ma colère, pour la détruire, et j'ai fait retomber leurs voies sur leurs tètes, dit le Seigneur Maître.
Therefore haue I powred out mine indignation vpon them, and consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their owne wayes haue I rendred vpon their heads, sayth the Lord God.
