Exode 11

1 Et le Seigneur dit à Moïse: Je frapperai d'une dernière plaie le Pharaon et l'Égypte; après cela, il vous renverra de sa contrée, et lorsqu'il vous congédiera avec tout ce qui vous appartient, il aura hâte de vous voir partir.

Now the Lord had saide vnto Moses, yet will I bring one plague more vpon Pharaoh, and vpon Egypt: after that, he will let you go hence: when he letteth you goe, he shall at once chase you hence.

2 Parle donc en secret à ton peuple; que chacun demande à son voisin des vases d'argent et d'or, et des vêtements.

Speake thou nowe to the people, that euery man require of his neighbour, and euery woman of her neighbour iewels of siluer and iewels of gold.

3 Le Seigneur a fait en sorte que son peuple trouve grâce devant les Égyptiens, et ceux-ci lui prêteront; car Moïse est très grand aux yeux des Égyptiens, du Pharaon et de ses serviteurs.

And the Lord gaue the people fauour in the sight of the Egyptians: also Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaohs seruantes, and in the sight of the people.)

4 Et Moïse dit: Voici ce que dit le Seigneur: Vers le milieu de la nuit je viendrai en Égypte.

Also Moses sayde, Thus sayth the Lord, About midnight will I goe out into the middes of Egypt.

5 Et tout premier-né, en la terre d'Égypte, mourra; depuis le premier-né du Pharaon qui est assis sur le trône, jusqu'au premier-né de la servante qui tourne la meule, et jusqu'au premier-né des bestiaux.

And all the first borne in the lande of Egypt shall die, from the first borne of Pharaoh that sitteth on his throne, vnto the first borne of the maide seruant, that is at the mille, and all the first borne of beastes.

6 Et il y aura dans toute l'Égypte une grande lamentation telle qu'il ne s'en est jamais entendu, et qu'il ne s'en fera plus entendre de semblable.

Then there shalbe a great crie throughout all the land of Egypt, such as was neuer none like, nor shalbe.

7 Tandis que chez tous les fils d'Israël, depuis l'homme jusqu'aux bestiaux, pas un chien ne grondera de la langue; afin que tu saches quelle différence éclatante le Seigneur fera entre les Égyptiens et les fils d'Israël.

But against none of ye children of Israel shall a dogge moue his tongue, neyther against man nor beast, that ye may knowe that the Lord putteth a difference betweene the Egyptians and Israel.

8 Tous tes serviteurs que voici viendront à moi, et ils se prosterneront devant moi, en disant: Pars avec tout ton peuple; retourne d'où tu es venu, et alors je partirai; et Moïse quitta le Pharaon avec colère.

And all these thy seruants shall come downe vnto me, and fal before me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that are at thy feete, and after this will I depart. So he went out from Pharaoh very angry.

9 Et le Seigneur dit à Moïse: Le Pharaon ne vous écoutera pas, afin que je multiplie et multiplie mes signes et mes prodiges en la terre d'Égypte.

And the Lord saide vnto Moses, Pharaoh shall not heare you, that my wonders may bee multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 Or, Moïse et Aaron avaient fait tous ces signes et ces prodiges devant le Pharaon en la terre d'Égypte; mais le Seigneur avait endurci le cœur du Pharaon, et celui-ci n'avait point consenti à congédier les fils d'Israël.

So Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: but the Lord hardened Pharaohs heart, and he suffred not the children of Israel to goe out of his lande.
