Amos 3

1 Écoutez cette parole qu'a dite le Seigneur contre vous, ô maison d'Israël, et contre toute ta famille que J'ai ramené de la terre d'Égypte, disant:

Sones of Israel, here ye the word which the Lord spak on you, and on al the kynrede, which Y ledde out of the lond of Egipt,

2 Hormis vous, Je n'ai connu aucune des tribus de la terre; et, à cause de cela, Je tirerai vengeance de vos péchés contre vous.

and seide, Oneli Y knewe you of alle the kynredis of erthe; therfor Y schal visite on you alle youre wickidnessis.

3 Deux hommes peuvent-ils marcher d'accord en toutes choses, s'ils ne se connaissent l'un l'autre?

Whether tweyne schulen go togidere, no but it acorde to hem?

4 Le lion rugira-t-il en sa forêt, s'il n'a quelque proie? Le lionceau donnera-t-il de la voix en son antre, s'il n'a rien ravi?

Whether a lioun schal rore in a forest, no but he haue prey? Whether the whelp of a lioun schal yyue vois fro his denne, no but he take ony thing?

5 L'oiseau tombera-t-il à terre sans oiseleur? Détendra-t-on le filet avant qu'il ait rien pris?

Whether a brid schal falle in to a snare of erthe, with outen a foulere? Whether a snare schal be takun awei fro erthe, bifor that it tak sum thing?

6 Sonnera-t-on de la trompette dans la ville sans que le peuple tremble, et y surviendra-t-il calamité qui ne soit envoyée par le Seigneur.

Whether a trumpe schal sowne in a citee, and the puple schal not drede? Whether yuel schal be in a citee, which yuel the Lord schal not make?

7 Or le Seigneur ne fera rien qu'Il n'ait révélé Ses instructions à Ses serviteurs les prophètes.

For the Lord God schal not make a word, no but he schewe his priuyte to hise seruauntis profetis.

8 Le lion rugira, et qui n'en sera pas épouvanté? Le Seigneur Dieu a parlé: qui ne prophétisera point?

A lioun schal rore, who schal not drede? the Lord God spak, who schal not profesie?

9 Faites des proclamations dans les villes des Assyriens, et dans les villes d'Égypte, et dites: Réunissez-vous en la montagne de Samarie, et voyez toutes les choses étranges qui se font au milieu d'elles, et l'oppression qui est en elles.

Make ye herd in the housis of Azotus, and in the housis of the lond of Egipt; and seie ye, Be ye gaderid togidere on the hillis of Samarye, and se ye many woodnessis in the myddis therof, and hem that suffren fals calenge in the priuy places therof.

10 Elle n'a point connu ce qui allait arriver contre ses habitants, et ils thésaurisent en leurs maisons l'iniquité et la misère.

And thei kouden not do riytful thing, seith the Lord, and tresouriden wickidnesse and raueyn in her housis.

11 À cause de cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu: Autour de toi, Tyr, on fera de ton territoire un désert; et ta puissance t'échappera, et tes champs seront dévastés.

Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, The lond schal be troblid, and be cumpassid; and thi strengthe schal be drawun doun of thee, and thin housis schulen be rauyschid.

12 Voici ce que dit le Seigneur: Tels, par le berger, sont arrachés de la gueule du lion deux jambes ou un lambeau d'oreille; tels seront arrachés les fils d'Israël qui demeureront en Samarie en face de la tribu du Jacob, et emmenés à Damas.

The Lord God seith these thingis, As if a schepherd rauyschith fro the mouth of a lioun tweyne hipis, ether the laste thing of the eere, so the children of Israel schulen be rauyschid, that dwellen in Samarie, in the cuntrei of bed, and in the bed of Damask.

13 Prêtres, écoutez, et portez votre témoignage en la maison de Jacob, dit le Seigneur tout-puissant

Here ye, and witnesse ye in the hous of Jacob, seith the Lord God of oostis.

14 Le jour où Je punirai sur lui-même les impiétés d'Israël, je tirerai vengeance des autels de Béthel. Et les cornes de l'autel seront abattues et tomberont à terre.

For in the dai, whanne Y schal bigynne to visite the trespassyngis of Israel on hym, Y schal visite also on the auteris of Bethel; and the hornes of the auter schulen be kit awei, and schulen falle doun in to erthe.

15 Je renverserai et Je foulerai aux pieds la maison entourée de colonnes sur la maison d'été; et les maisons d'ivoire périront, et bien d'autres maisons seront enveloppées dans leur ruine, dit le Seigneur.

And Y schal smyte the wynter hous with the somer hous, and the housis of yuer schulen perische, and many housis schulen be distried, seith the Lord.
