2 Chroniques 30
1 Et Ézéchias envoya en tout Israël et en Juda, et il écrivit des lettres à Ephraïm et à Manassé, pour qu'ils vinssent au temple du Seigneur à Jérusalem, faire la Pâque du Seigneur Dieu d'Israël.
And Hezekiah sent to all Israel, and Iudah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Ierusalem, to keepe the Passeouer vnto the Lord God of Israel.
2 Et le roi, et les princes et toute l'Église de Jérusalem, résolurent de faire la Pâque le second mois.
And the King and his princes and all the Congregation had taken counsel in Ierusalem to keepe the Passeouer in the second moneth.
3 Car ils ne la pouvaient faire en ce moment, parce qu'il n'y avait point assez de prêtres consacrés, et que tout le peuple n'était point réuni à Jérusalem.
For they could not keepe it at this time, because there were not Priests enow sanctified, neither was the people gathered to Ierusalem.
4 Et cette décision fut agréable au roi et à toute l'Église.
And the thing pleased the King, and all the Congregation.
5 Ils ordonnèrent aussi que l'on proclamât en tout Israël, depuis Bersabée jusqu'à Dan, que l'on eût à venir pour faire la Pâque du Seigneur Dieu à Jérusalem; car la multitude ne l'avait jamais faite comme le prescrit l'Écriture.
And they decreed to make proclamation throughout all Israel from Beersheba euen to Dan, that they should come to keepe the Passeouer vnto the Lord God of Israel at Ierusalem: for they had not done it of a great time, as it was written.
6 Les courriers, avec les lettres du roi et des princes, parcoururent tout Juda et tout Israël, selon l'ordre d'Ézéchias, et ils dirent: Fils d'Israël, revenez au Seigneur Dieu d'Abraham, d'Isaac et d'Israël; ramenez ceux de vous qui survivent et qui ont échappé aux mains du roi d'Assyrie.
So the postes went with letters by the commission of the King, and his princes, thorowout all Israel and Iudah, and with the commandement of the King, saying, Ye children of Israel, turne againe vnto the Lord God of Abraham, Izhak, and Israel, and he will returne to the remnant that are escaped of you, out of ye hands of the Kings of Asshur.
7 Ne soyez pas comme vos pères et vos frères; ils se sont séparés du Seigneur Dieu de leurs pères, et le Seigneur les a livrés à la dévastation, comme vous avez vu.
And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers: and therfore he made them desolate, as ye see.
8 Maintenant donc, n'endurcissez point vos cœurs comme vos pères; glorifiez le Seigneur votre Dieu, entrez dans le lieu saint qu'il a consacré pour toujours; servez le Seigneur votre Dieu, et il détournera de vous sa terrible colère.
Be not ye now stiffenecked like your fathers, but giue the hand to the Lord, and come into his sanctuarie, which he hath sanctified for euer, and serue the Lord your God, and the fiercenesse of his wrath shall turne away from you.
9 Car, lorsque vous serez revenus au Seigneur, vos frères et vos enfants trouveront miséricorde chez ceux qui les ont emmenés captifs, et Dieu vous les ramènera en cette terre; car le Seigneur notre Dieu est miséricordieux et compatissant, et il ne détournera point de vous sa face, si nous retournons à lui.
For if ye returne vnto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall finde mercy before them that led them captiues, and they shall returne vnto this lande: for the Lord your God is gracious and mercifull, and will not turne away his face from you, if ye conuert vnto him.
10 Et les courriers passèrent de ville en ville, dans les montagnes d'Ephraïm et de Manassé, jusqu'à Zabulon, et ils furent un sujet de risée et de raillerie.
So the postes went from citie to citie thorow the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, euen vnto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorne, and mocked them.
11 Toutefois, des hommes d'Aser, de Manassé et de Zabulon, rentrèrent en eux-mêmes, et vinrent à Jérusalem en Juda.
Neuerthelesse diuers of Asher, and Manasseh, and of Zebulun submitted themselues, and came to Ierusalem.
12 Car la main du Seigneur excita leur cœur à partir et à suivre les ordres du roi et des princes, selon la parole du Seigneur.
And the hand of God was in Iudah, so that he gaue them one heart to doe the commandement of the King, and of the rulers, according to the worde of the Lord.
13 Une grande multitude se réunit donc à Jérusalem pour faire la fête des azymes le second mois; l'Église fut très-nombreuse.
And there assembled to Ierusalem much people, to keepe the feast of ye vnleauened bread in the second moneth, a very great assemblie.
14 Et ils se levèrent, et ils abattirent dans Jérusalem tous les autels où l'on brûlait de l'encens pour les faux dieux; ils les enlevèrent et les jetèrent dans le torrent de Cédron.
And they arose, and tooke away the altars that were in Ierusalem: and all those for incense tooke they away, and cast them into the brooke Kidron.
15 Et ils immolèrent la pâque le quatorzième jour de la seconde lune, et les prêtres et les lévites, s'étant repentis et purifiés, offrirent des holocaustes dans le temple du Seigneur.
Afterwarde they slewe the Passeouer the fourteenth day of the seconde moneth: and the Priestes and Leuites were ashamed, and sanctified themselues, and brought the burnt offrings into the house of the Lord.
16 Et chacun se tint à son rang, selon leur ordonnance et selon les commandements de Moïse, homme de Dieu; les prêtres reçurent le sang des mains des lévites.
And they stoode in their place after their maner, according to the Lawe of Moses the man of God: and the Priestes sprinkled the blood, receiued of the handes of the Leuites.
17 Car la plus grande partie de l'Église ne s'était point encore sanctifiée, et les lévites étaient prêts à immoler la pâque pour tous ceux qui n'avaient pu se sanctifier au Seigneur.
Because there were many in the Congregation that were not sanctified, therefore the Leuites had the charge of the killing of ye Passeouer for all that were not cleane, to sanctifie it to the Lord.
18 Parmi le peuple d'Ephraïm, de Manassé, d'Issachar, de Zabulon, le plus grand nombre ne s'était pas purifié; mais ils mangèrent la pâque contrairement à l'Écriture; à cause de cela, Ezéchias fit pour eux cette prière, disant: Que le Seigneur, dans sa bonté, soit propice
For a multitude of the people, euen a multitude of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not cleansed themselues, yet did eate the Passeouer, but not as it was written: wherefore Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Lord be mercifull toward him,
19 A tous les cœurs qui cherchent avec droiture le Seigneur Dieu de leurs pères, quoiqu'ils n'aient point la pureté que veulent les choses saintes.
That prepareth his whole heart to seeke the Lord God, the God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed, according to the purification of the Sanctuarie.
20 Et le Seigneur exauça Ezéchias, et il guérit tout le peuple.
And the Lord heard Hezekiah, and healed the people.
21 Et les fils d'Israël, qui se trouvaient à Jérusalem, firent la fête des Azymes sept jours, en grande allégresse, célébrant chaque jour le Seigneur; et les prêtres et les lévites accompagnaient leurs chants avec les instruments consacrés.
And the children of Israel that were present at Ierusalem, kept the feast of the vnleauened bread seuen dayes with great ioye, and the Leuites, and the Priestes praysed the Lord, day by day, singing with loude instruments vnto the Lord.
22 Et Ezéchias parla au cœur des lévites et de tous ceux qui comprenaient le mieux le Seigneur, et ils firent la fête des Azymes sept jours, sacrifiant l'hostie pacifique, et rendant gloire au Seigneur Dieu de leurs pères.
And Hezekiah spake comfortably vnto all the Leuites that had good knowledge to sing vnto the Lord: and they did eate in that feast seuen dayes, and offred peace offrings, and praysed the Lord God of their fathers.
23 Et l'Église résolut de fêter une seconde fois sept jours, et ils les fêtèrent avec joie.
And the whole assembly tooke counsel to keepe it other seuen dayes. So they kept it seuen dayes with ioy.
24 Car Ezéchias offrit à Juda et à l'Église mille bœufs et sept mille brebis, et les princes amenèrent, pour le peuple, mille bœufs et dix mille brebis, et il y eut une multitude de prêtres qui furent sanctifiés.
For Hezekiah King of Iudah had giuen to the Congregation a thousande bullockes, and seuen thousand sheepe. And the princes had giuen to the Congregation a thousand bullocks, and ten thousand sheepe: and many Priests were sanctified.
25 Et toute l'Église était pénétrée de joie: prêtres, lévites, Église de Juda, peuple réuni à Jérusalem, prosélytes venus de la terre d'Israël, étrangers habitant Juda.
And all the Congregation of Iudah reioyced with the Priestes and the Leuites, and all the Congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Iudah.
26 Et l'allégresse fut grande en Jérusalem; on n'y avait point vu pareille fête depuis les jours de Salomon et de David.
So there was great ioye in Ierusalem: for since the time of Salomon the sonne of Dauid King of Israel there was not the like thing in Ierusalem.
27 Et les prêtres et les lévites se levèrent, et ils bénirent le peuple, et leur voix fut entendue, et leur prière monta jusqu'aux saintes demeures de Dieu dans le ciel.
Then the Priests and the Leuites arose, and blessed the people, and their voyce was heard, and their prayer came vp vnto heauen, to his holy habitation.
