The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
6 Fils de Gomer: Ascenez, Rhiphath et Thorgama.
And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.
7 Fils de Javan: Elisa, Tharsis, les Citians et les Rhodiens.
And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
8 Fils de Cham: Chus, Mesraïm, Phuth et Chanaan.

And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raama: Sheba, and Dedan.
10 Et Chus engendra Nemrod; celui-ci commença à être puissant et chasseur sur la terre.
And Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

The Sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

And Arpachshad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;

and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah;
22 Salé,
and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba;

and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah;
25 Héber, Phaleg, Réhu,
Eber, Peleg, Reu;
26 Sarug, Nachor, Tharé.
Serug, Nahor, Terah;
27 Abraham.
Abram — the same is Abraham.
28 Fils d'Abraham: Isaac et Ismaël.

29 Voici leurs familles: premier-né d'Ismaël: Nabaïoth, Cédar, Abdéel, Massan,

30 Masma, Duala, Massi, Choddan, Thèman,
Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
31 Jethur, Naphis, Cedma; voilà les fils d'Ismaël.
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedem. These are the sons of Ishmael.
32 Fils de Cettura, concubine d'Abraham: elle lui enfanta: Zameran, Jezan, Madian, Madal, Jesboc et Sué. Fils de Jezan: Dedan et Saba.
And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.
33 Fils de Madian: Gephar, Aphir, Enoch, Abida et Elduga; voilà tous les fils de Cettura.
And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.
34 Abraham engendra Isaac. Fils d'Isaac: Jacob et Esaü.
And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau, and Israel.
35 Fils d'Esaü: Eliphaz, Raguel, Jehul, Jeglon et Coré.
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam and Korah.
36 Fils d'Eliphaz: Thêman, Omar, Sophar, Gatham, Canez, Thamna et Amalec.
The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 Fils de Raguel: Nachoth, Zaré, Somé et Mozé.
The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 Fils de Seïr: Lotan, Sobal, Sébégon, Ana, Dison, Asar et Rison.
And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Fils de Lotan: Horri et Héman; sœur de Lotan, Thamna.
And the sons of Lotan: Hori, and Homam; and Timna was Lotan's sister.
40 Fils de Sobal: Alon, Machanath, Tébel, Sophi et Onan. Fils de Sébégon: Eth et Sonan.
The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon: Aiah, and Anah.
41 Fils de Sonan: Dison. Fils de Dison: Emeron, Asebon, Jethram et Harran.
The sons of Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
42 Fils d'Asar: Balaam, Zucam, Acan. Fils de Bison, Os et Aran.
The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, Jaakan. The sons of Dishan: Uz, and Aran.
43 Et voici leurs rois: Balac, fils de Béor; le nom de sa ville est Dennaba.
Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before their reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 Balac mourut, et Jobab, fils de Zara de Bosora, régna à sa place.
And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
45 Jobab mourut, et Asom, de la terre des Thêmanites, régna à sa place.
And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
46 Asom mourut, et Adad, fils de Barad, régna à sa place; ce fut lui qui vainquit Madian dans le champ de Moab; le nom de sa ville est Gethaim.
And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Avith.
47 Adad mourut, et Sebla (Samada) de Maseca régna à sa place.
And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
48 Sebla mourut, et Saul de Rooboth, sur l'Euphrate, régna à sa place.
And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his stead.
49 Saul mourut, et Balaennor (Ballanan), fils d'Achobor, régna à sa place.
And Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
50 Balaennor mourut, et Arad, fils de Barad, régna à sa place; le nom de sa ville est Phogor.
And Baal-hanan died, and Hadad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
51 Chefs d'Edom: le chef Thaman (Thamna), le chef Golada (Gola), le chef Jéther,
And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: the chief of Timna, the chief of Alvah, the chief of Jetheth;
52 Le chef Elibamas (Olibema), le chef Ela, le chef Phinon,
the chief of Oholibamah, the chief of Elah, the chief of Pinon;
53 Le chef Cenez, le chef Théman, le chef Bassor (Mazar),
the chief of Kenaz, the chief of Teman, the chief of Mibzar;
54 Le chef Magediel, le chef Zaphoin: voilà les chefs d'Edom.
the chief of Magdiel, the chief of Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom.
