1 Chroniques 26
1 Ceux à qui les portes furent distribuées, étaient les fils de Coré, Mosellamia, de la famille d'Asaph.
And the divisions of the porters: of the Corites Meselemia, the son of Core, of the sons of Asaph.
2 Et les fils de Mosellamia: Zacharie le premier-né, Jadiel le second, Zabadie le troisième, Jénuel le quatrième,
The sons of Meselemia: Zacharias the firstborn, Jadihel the second, Zabadias the third, Jathanael the fourth,
3 Jolam le cinquième, Jonathan le sixième, Elionai le septième, Abdedom le huitième.
Elam the fifth, Johanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.
4 Et les fils d'Abdedom: Samaias le premier-né, Jozabath le second, Joath le troisième, Sachar le quatrième, Nathanaél le cinquième,
And the sons of Obededom, Semeias the firstborn, Jozabad the second, Joaha the third, Sachar the fourth, Nathanael the fifth,
5 Amiel le sixième, Issachar le septième, Phelathi le huitième; car Dieu l'avait béni.
Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Phollathi the eighth: for the Lord had blessed him.
6 Et à son premier fils Samaïas, des fils naquirent, et furent chefs dans leur famille, parce qu'ils étaient forts
And to Semei his son were born sons, herds of their families: for they were men of great valour.
7 Fils de Samaï: Otbni, Raphaël, Obed, Elzabath, Achiud, tous hommes forts, Elia, Sabachias et Isbacom.
The sons then of Semeias were Othni, and Raphael, and Obed, Elizabad, and his brethren most valiant men: and Eliu, and Samachias.
8 Tous issus d'Abdedom; eux, et leurs fils et leurs frères, remplissant avec énergie leurs fonctions, au nombre de soixante-deux, issus d'Abdedom.
All these of the sons of Obededom: they, and their sons, and their brethren most able men for service, sixty-two of Obededom.
9 Mosellemia avait dix-huit fils et frères, tous hommes forts.
And the sons of Meselemia, and their brethren strong men, were eighteen.
10 Et les fils d'Osa, issu de Mérari, et qui n'était pas le premier-né, commandaient ce service; son père lui donna le commandement de la deuxième division.
And of Hosa, that is, of the sons of Merari: Semri the chief, (for he had not a firstborn, and therefore his father made him chief.)
11 Helcias venait après lui, Tablé était le troisième, Zacharie le quatrième; les fils et les frères d'Osa étaient en tout: treize.
Helcias the second, Tabelias the third, Zacharias the fourth: all these the sons, and the brethren of Hosa, were thirteen.
12 C'est entre eux que furent partagées les portes; chefs énergiques, servant avec autant de zèle que leurs frères, employés dans l'intérieur du temple.
Among these were the divisions of the porters, so that the chiefs of the wards, as well as their brethren, always ministered in the house of the Lord.
13 Et ils tirèrent au sort les portes où ils devaient être placés, après qu'on les eut classés, selon leur plus ou moins de force, par familles paternelles.
And they cast lots equally, both little and great, by their families for every one of the gates.
14 Le sort désigna, pour la porte orientale, Sélémie et Zacharie; ensuite, les fils de Soaz, issu de Melchia, agitèrent les sorts, et celui de la porte du nord sortit.
And the lot of the east fell to Selemias. But to his son Zacharias, a very wise and learned man, the north gate fell by lot.
15 Abdedom eut la porte du midi, en face de la maison d'Esephim.
And to Obededom and his sons that towards the south: in which part of the house was the council of the ancients.
16 Osa eut la seconde porte du côté de l'orient, après celle qui mène au vestibule des degrés; un garde vis-à-vis l'autre garde.
To Sephim, and Hosa towards the west, by the gate which leadeth to the way of the ascent: ward against ward.
17 Il y avait chaque jour six hommes à la porte orientale, quatre à celle du nord, quatre à celle du midi et deux à Esephim,
Now towards the east were six Levites: and towards the north four a day: and towards the south likewise four a day: and where the council was, two and two.
18 Pour la relève, du côté du couchant quatre et deux à l'entrée du chemin.
In the cells also of the porters toward the west four in the way: and two at every cell.
19 Les portes étaient ainsi distribuées entre les fils dé Coré et ceux de Mérari.
These are the divisions of the porters of the sons of Core, and of Merari.
20 Et des lévites, leurs frères, gardaient le trésor de la demeure du Seigneur et le trésor des consécrations.
Now Achias was over the treasures of the house of God, and the holy vessels.
21 Ceux-là étaient fils de Ladan; ils étaient issus des fils de Gerson; les chefs des familles provenaient de Ladan, le fils de Ladan le Gersonite était Jehiel.
The sons of Ledan, the sons of Gersonni: of Ledan were heads of the families, of Ledan, and Gersonni, Jehieli.
22 Zethom et Johel, son frère, fils de Jehiel, étaient intendants du trésor de la demeure du Seigneur,
The sons of Jehieli: Zathan and Joel, his brethren over the treasures of the house of the Lord,
23 Avec les familles d'Amram, d'Issaar, d'Hébron et d'Oziel.
With the Amramites, and Isaarites, and Hebronites, and Ozielites.
24 Subael, issu de Gersam, fils de Moïse, était aussi intendant des trésors.
And Subael the son of Gersom, the son of Moses, was chief over the treasures.
25 Or, Eliézer, l'un de ses proches, eut pour fils Rabias, de qui descendirent: Josias, Joram, Zéchri et Salomoth.
His brethren also, Eliezer, whose son Rohobia, and his son Isaias, and his son Joram, and his son Zechri, and his son Selemith.
26 Ce Salomoth et ses frères eurent l'intendance de tous les trésors saints, que consacrèrent le roi David et les chefs de familles paternelles, commandants de mille hommes, ou centeniers, ou princes de l'armée;
Which Selemith and his brethren were over the treasures of the holy things, which king David, and the heads of families, and the captains over thousands and over hundreds, and the captains of the host had dedicated,
27 C'étaient les choses qu'ils avaient enlevées des villes prises sur l'ennemi, et consacrées pour subvenir aux frais de construction du temple de Dieu.
Out of the wars, and the spoils won in battles, which they had consecrated to the building and furniture of the temple of the Lord.
28 Ainsi, tout ce qu'avait consacré Samuel le prophète; Saül, fils de Cis; Abner, fils de Ner; Joab, fils de Servie, fut confié à Salomoth et à ses frères.
And all these things that Samuel the seer and Saul the son of Cis, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Sarvia had sanctified: and whosoever had sanctified those things, they were under the hand of Selemith and his brethren.
29 Honnias, issu d'Isaar, et ses fils, furent chargés de fonctions extérieures en Israël; ils étaient scribes et juges.
But Chonenias and his sons were over the Isaarites, for the business abroad over Israel to teach them and judge them.
30 Asubias, issu d'Hébron, et ses frères, hommes forts, au nombre de dix- sept cents, avaient la surveillance d'Israël, sur la rive occidentale du Jourdain, pour tout ce qui concernait le service du Seigneur et le gouvernement du roi.
And of the Hebronites Hasabias, and his brethren most able men, a thousand seven hundred had the charge over Israel beyond the Jordan westward, in all the works of the Lord, and for the service of the king.
31 Urie était le chef de la postérité d'Hébron, par familles paternelles; or, la quarantième année du règne de David, elle fut recensée en Jazer-Galaad, et Urie fut reconnu vaillant.
And the chief of the Hebronites was Jeria according to their families and kindreds. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were numbered, and there were found most valiant men in Jazer Galaad,
32 Ses frères, les chefs de famille, au nombre de deux mille sept cents, étaient aussi des hommes forts; le roi les institua intendants de Ruben, de Gad et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, pour tout ce qui concernait les commandements du Seigneur et les ordres du roi.
And his brethren of stronger age, two thousand seven hundred chiefs of families. And king David made them rulers over the Rubenites and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasses, for all the service of God, and the king.
