1 Chroniques 25

1 Et le roi David et les chefs de l'armée réglèrent les fonctions des fils d'Asaph, d'Hêman et d'Idithun, chantres, s'accompagnant de harpes, de lyres et de cymbales, et qui furent employés tour à tour, selon leur nombre.

And David and the heads of the host separate for service, of the sons of Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun, who are prophesying with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals, and the number of the workmen is according to their service.

2 Fils d'Asaph, attachés à la personne du roi: Sacchur, Joseph, Natharias et Enahel.

Of sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, [are] by the side of Asaph, who is prophesying by the side of the king.

3 Fils d'Idithun: Godolias, Suri, Iséas, Asabias et Matthathias; six, en comptant leur père Idithun, s'accompagnant de la harpe, et louant le Seigneur en lui rendant grâces.

Of Jeduthun: sons of Jeduthun, Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, Shisshah, [are] by the side of their father Jeduthun; with a harp he is prophesying, for giving of thanks and of praise to Jehovah.

4 Fils d'Hêman: Bucias, Matthanias, Oziel, Subahel, Jerimoth, Ananias, Anan, Eliatha, Godollathi, Hornetthiézer, Jesbasaca, Mallithi, Otheri et Méasoth.

Of Heman: sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth;

5 Tous fils d'Hêman, premier chantre du roi pour louer Dieu et exalter sa puissance. Ainsi, Dieu avait donné à Hêman quatorze fils, outre trois filles.

all these [are] sons of Heman — seer of the king in the things of God — to lift up a horn; and God giveth to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Tous ses fils chantaient avec lui dans le tabernacle de Dieu, en s'accompagnant de harpes, de lyres et de cymbales; ils servaient en la demeure de Dieu, attachés à la personne du roi, ainsi qu'Asaph, Idithun et Hêman.

All these [are] by the side of their father in the song of the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; by the side of the king [are] Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.

7 Et leur nombre, joint à celui de leurs frères, instruits à chanter le Seigneur, montait à deux cent quatre-vingt-huit, tout compris.

And their number, with their brethren — taught in the song of Jehovah, all who are intelligent — is two hundred, eighty and eight.

8 Et ils réglèrent aussi, par le sort, leur service journalier, après qu'ils furent classés, selon leur plus ou moins de science et de talent.

And they cause to fall lots — charge over-against [charge], as well the small as the great, the intelligent with the learner.

9 Et le sort désigna, en premier lieu: Godolias, fils de Joseph, fils d'Asaph, et ses fils et ses frères; le second fut l'émail, et ses fils et ses frères, au nombre de douze.

And the first lot goeth out for Asaph to Joseph; [to] Gedaliah the second; he, and his brethren and his sons, twelve;

10 Le troisième Sacchur, et ses fils et ses frères: douze.

the third [to] Zaccur, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

11 Le quatrième Jesri, et ses fils et ses frères: douze.

the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

12 Le cinquième Nathan, et ses fils et ses frères: douze.

the fifth [to] Nethaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

13 Le sixième Bucias, et ses fils et ses frères: douze.

the sixth [to] Bukkiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

14 Le septième Izeriel, et ses fils et ses frères: douze.

the seventh [to] Jesharelah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

15 Le huitième Josias, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

the eighth [to] Jeshaiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

16 Le neuvième Matthanias, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

the ninth [to] Mattaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

17 Le dixième Sémeï, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

the tenth [to] Shimei, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

18 Le onzième Asriel, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

eleventh [to] Azareel, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

19 Le douzième Asabia, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

the twelfth [to] Hashabiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

20 Le treizième Subahel, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the thirteenth [to] Shubael, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

21 Le quatorzième Matthathias, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the fourteenth [to] Mattithiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

22 Le quinzième Jerimoth, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the fifteenth [to] Jeremoth, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

23 Le seizième Anania, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the sixteenth [to] Hananiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

24 Le dix-septième Jesbasaca, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the seventeenth [to] Joshbekashah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

25 Le dix-huitième Ananias, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the eighteenth [to] Hanani, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

26 Le dix-neuvième Mallithi, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the nineteenth [to] Mallothi, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

27 Le vingtième Eliatha, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the twentieth [to] Eliathah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

28 Le vingt-unième Otheri, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the one and twentieth [to] Hothir, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

29 Le vingt-deuxième Godolathi, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the two and twentieth [to] Giddalti, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

30 Le vingt-troisième Muzoth, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the three and twentieth [to] Mahazioth, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

31 Le vingt-quatrième Rometthiézer, ses fils et ses frères: douze.

at the four and twentieth [to] Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his brethren, twelve.
