1 Voici les noms des fils d'Israël: Ruben, Siméon, Lévi, Juda, Issachar, Zabulon,
These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad, Aser.
Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 Fils de Juda: Her, Onan, Sela; tous trois naquirent de la fille de Savas (Sué), la Chananéenne; et Her, le premier-né de Juda, fit le mal devant le Seigneur, qui le tua.
The sons of Judah: 'Er, and Onan, and Shelah, the three [who] were born unto him of the daughter of Shua' the Canaanitess. And 'Er, the first-born of Judah, was evil in the eyes of the Lord: and he slew him.
4 Et Thamar, bru de Juda, enfanta Pharès et Zara; en tout: cinq fils de Juda.
And Thamar his daughter-in-law bore unto him Perez and Zerach. All the sons of Judah were five.
5 Fils de Pharès: Esron et Jemuhel.
The sons of Perez: Chezron and Chamul.
6 Fils de Zara: Zambri, Etham, Aimuan, Calchal et Darad; en tout: cinq.
And the sons of Zerach: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara'; all of them five.
7 Fils de Charmi: Achar, le perturbateur d'Israël, qui désobéit au sujet de l'anathème.
And the sons of Carmi: 'Achar the troubler of Israel, who trespassed against the devoted things.
8 Fils d'Etham: Azarias.
And the sons of Ethan: 'Azaryah.
9 Fils d'Esron, qui lui furent enfantés: Jeraméel, Aram et Caleb.
And the sons of Chezron, that were born unto him: Jerachmeel, and Ram, and Kelubai.
10 Aram engendra Aminadab; Aminadab engendra Nahasson, chef de la maison de Juda.
And Ram begat 'Amminadab, and 'Amminadab begat Nachshon, the prince of the children of Judah;
11 Nahasson engendra Salmon; Salmon engendra Booz;
And Nachshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Bo'az,
12 Booz engendra Obed; Obed engendra Jessé;
And Bo'az begat 'Obed, and 'Obed begat Jesse,
13 Jessé engendra son premier-né Eliab, le second Aminadab, le troisième Samaa,
And Ishai begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shim'a the third,
14 Nathanael le quatrième, Zabdé le cinquième,
Nathanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
15 Azam le sixième, et David le septième.
Ozem the sixth, David the seventh;
16 Et leurs sœurs furent: Sarvia et Abigaïl. Les fils de Sarvia furent: Abessa, Joab et Asaël; trois.
And their sisters were Zeruyah, and Abigayil. And the sons of Zeruyah: Abshai, and Joab, and 'Assahel, three.
17 Abagaïl enfanta Amessab, et le père d'Amessab fut Jolhor l'Ismaélite.
And Abigayil bore 'Amassa: and the father of 'Amassa was Jether the Ishme'elite.
18 Caleb, fils d'Esron, prit pour femmes Gazuba et Jerioth; voici ses fils: Jasar, Subab et Ardon.
And Caleb the son of Chezron begat [children] of 'Azubah his wife, and of Jeri'oth; and these are her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19 Et Gazuba mourut, et Caleb prit pour femme Ephratha, et elle lui enfanta Hur.
And 'Azubah died, when Caleb took unto himself Ephrath, who bore unto him Chur.
20 Hur engendra Urias; Urias engendra Beseléel.
And Chur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezalel.
21 Après cela, Esron eut commerce avec la fille de Machir, père de Galaad, et il la prit pour femme; il avait alors soixante-cinq ans, et elle lui enfanta Seruch.
And afterward came Chezron to the daughter of Machir the father of Gil'ad, and he took her [for wife] when he was sixty years old: and she bore unto him Segub.
22 Seruch engendra Jaïr; il possédait vingt-trois villes en Galaad.
And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gil'ad.
23 Il prit de plus Gessur et Aram, villes de Jaïr, parmi les siennes, et la terre de Canath avec ses villes: soixante villes; toutes appartenaient aux fils de Machir, père de Galaad.
But Geshur and Aram took the small towns of Jair from them, with Kenath, and the villages thereof, even sixty cities. All these [belonged to] the sons of Machir the father of Gil'ad.
24 Après la mort d'Esron, Caleb épousa Ephratha; or, Abia, femme d'Esron, lui avait enfanté Ascho, père de Thécoé.
And after Chezron was dead in Calebephratah, then bore Chezron's wife Abiyah unto him Ashchur the father of Thekoa'.
25 Les fils de Jeraméel, premier-né d'Esron, furent: Ram, premier-né; puis, Banaa, Aram et Asan, son frère.
And the sons of Jerachmeel the first-born of Chezron were, Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Achiyah.
26 Et Jeraméel avait une autre femme qui se nommait Atara; celle-ci fut la mère d'Ozom.
Yerachmeel had also another wife, whose name was 'Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27 Les fils de Ram, premier-né de Jeraméel, furent: Mass, Jamin et Acor.
And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerachmeel were, Ma'az, and Jamin, and 'Eker.
28 Les fils d'Ozom furent: Samaï et Jadaé, et les fils de Samaï: Nadab et Abisur.
And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada'. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur.
29 La femme d'Abisur se nommait Abihaïl, et elle lui enfanta Achobor et Moêl.
And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abichayil, and she bore unto him Achban, and Molid.
30 Fils de Nadab: Salad et Aphaïn; Salad mourut sans enfants.
And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appayim; and Seled died without children.
31 Fils d'Aphaïn: Iséuniel; fils d'Isémiel: Sosan; fils de Sosan: Dadaï.
And the sons of Appayim: Yish'i. And the sons of Yish'i: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Achlai.
32 Fils de Dadaï: Achisamas, Jéther, Jonatham; Jéther mourut sans enfants.
And the sons of Jada' the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan; and Jether died without children.
33 Fils de Jonathan: Phaleth et Ozam; voilà les fils de Jonathan.
And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerachmeel.
34 Sosan n'eut pas de fils, mais des filles; or, il avait un serviteur égyptien qui se nommait Johel.
Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarcha'.
35 Et Sosan donna sa fille, pour femme, à son serviteur Johel; elle lui enfanta Ethi.
And Sheshan gave his daughter unto Jarcha' his servant for wife: and she bore unto him 'Attai.
36 Et Ethi engendra Nathan, et Nathan engendra Zabed.
And 'Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad.
37 Zabed engendra Aphamel, et Aphamel engendra Obed.
And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat 'Obed.
38 Obed engendra Jéhu, et Jéhu engendra Azarias.
And 'Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat 'Azaryah,
39 Azarias engendra Hellès, et Hellès engendra Eléaza.
And 'Azaryah begat Chelez, and Chelez begat El'assah,
40 Eléaza engendra Sosomaï, et Sosomaï engendra Salum.
And El'assah begat Sissmai, and Sissmai begat Shallum.
41 Salum engendra Jéhémie; Jéhémie engendra Elisama, et Elisama engendra Ismaël.
And Shallum begat Jekamyah, and Jekamyah begat Elishama'.
42 Fils de Caleb, frère de Jeraméel Marisa, premier-né; c'est le père de Siph; Marisa eut encore des fils, il fut le père d'Hébron.
Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerachmeel were, Mesha', his first-born, who was the father of Ziph, and of the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
43 Fils d'Hébron: Coré, Thaphus, Rhicom et Samaa.
And the sons of Hebron: Korach, and Thappuach, and Rekem, and Shema'.
44 Samaa engendra Rahem, père de Jéclan, et Jéclan engendra Samaï.
And Shema' begat Racham, the father of Jorke'am; and Rekem begat Shammai.
45 Mahon fut son fils, et Mahon fut le père de Bethsur.
And the son of Shammai was Ma'on; and Ma'on was the father of Beth-zur.
46 Gaïpha, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Aram, et Mosa et Gézué.
And 'Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Charan, and Moza, and Gazez; and Charan begat Gazez.
47 Fils d'Adaï: Rahem, Joatham, Sagar, Phalec, Gaïpha et Sagaé.
And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Gesham, and Pelet, and 'Ephah, and Sha'aph.
48 Mocha, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Saber et Tharam.
Ma'achah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber, and Tirchanah.
49 Sagaé engendra le père de Madmena, et Sahu, père de Mahabena, et le père de Gébal; la fille de Caleb s'appelait Ascha.
She bore also! Sha'aph the father of Madmannah. Sheva the father of Machbena, and the father of Gib'a: ! and the daughter of Caleb was 'Achsah.
50 Voilà les fils de Caleb. Voici les fils d'Hur, premier-né d'Ephratha: Sobal, père de Cariathiarim,
These were the sons of Caleb: Benchur, the first-born of Ephratah, Shobal the father of Kiryath-ye'arim,
51 Salomon, père de Bétha, Lammon, père de Béthalaem, et Arim, père de Bethgedor.
Salma the father of Beth-lechem, Chareph the father of Beth-gader.
52 Fils de Sobal, père de Cariathiarim: Araa, Aïsi, Ammanith
And Shobal the father of Kir'yath-ye'arim had sons: Haroeh, and Chazi-hammenuchoth.
53 Et Umasphaé; villes de Jdir: Ethalim, Miphitim, Hésamathim et Hémasaraïm, d'où sont sortis les Sarathéens et les fils d'Esthaam.
And the families of Kir'yath-ye'arim are the Yithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishra'ites: from these came the Zor'athites, and the Eshthaulites.
54 Fils de Salomon: Béthalaem le Netophatite, Ataroth de la maison de Joab, la moitié de Manathi, et Esari.
The sons of Salma: Beth-lechem, and the Netophathites, 'Ataroth of the house of Joab, and Chazi-hammanachthi, the Zor'ite.
55 Familles de lettrés, demeurant en Jabis: Thargathiim, et Samathiim et Sohathim. Ce sont les Cinéens, issus d'Emath, père de la maison de Rhéchab.
And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez: the Thirathites, the Shim'athites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came from Chammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
