Zacharie 14

1 Voici venir un jour, de par l’Eternel, où tes dépouilles seront partagées dans tes murs.

Behold, the days of the Lord come, and your spoils shall be divided in you.

2 Je rassemblerai tous les peuples autour de Jérusalem pour l’attaquer: la ville sera prise, les maisons pillées et les femmes violentées. La moitié de la ville ira en exil, mais le reste de la population ne sera point arraché de la ville.

And I will gather all the Gentiles to Jerusalem to war, and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, but the rest of my people shall not be utterly cut off from the city.

3 Alors l’Eternel s’en viendra guerroyer contre ces peuples, comme jadis il guerroya au jour de la rencontre.

And the Lord shall go forth, and fight with those Gentiles as when he fought in the day of war.

4 Ce jour-là, ses pieds se poseront sur la montagne des Oliviers qui est en avant de Jérusalem, à l’Orient et la montagne des Oliviers se fendra par le milieu, de l’Est à l’Ouest, formant une gorge immense; une moitié de la montagne reculera vers le Nord, l’autre moitié vers le Sud.

And his feet shall stand in that day on the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave asunder, half of it towards the east and the west, a very great division; and half the mountain shall lean to the north, and half of it to the south.

5 Et vous fuirez cette gorge de montagnes, car cette gorge de montagnes s’étendra jusqu’à Açal; vous fuirez comme vous l’avez fait devant le tremblement de terre, du temps d’Ouzia, roi de Juda. Toutefois l’Eternel, mon Dieu, interviendra, tous ses saints seront avec toi.

And the valley of my mountains shall be closed up, and the valley of the mountains shall be joined on to Jasod, and shall be blocked up as it was blocked up in the days of the earthquake, in the days of Ozias king of Juda; and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with him.

6 Or, à cette époque, ce ne sera plus une lumière rare et terne.

And it shall come to pass in that day that there shall be no light,

7 Ce sera un jour unique Dieu seul le connaît où il ne fera ni jour, ni nuit; et c’est au moment du soir que paraîtra la lumière.

and there shall be for one day cold and frost, and that day [shall be] known to the Lord, and [it shall] not [be] day nor night: but towards evening it shall be light.

8 En ce jour, des eaux vives s’épancheront de Jérusalem, la moitié vers la mer Orientale, l’autre moitié vers la mer Occidentale; il en sera ainsi, été comme hiver.

And in that day living water shall come forth out of Jerusalem; half of it towards the former sea, and half of it towards the latter sea: and so shall it be in summer and spring.

9 L’Eternel sera roi sur toute la terre; en ce jour, l’Eternel sera un et unique sera son nom.

And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day there shall be one Lord, and his name one,

10 Toute la contrée prendra l’aspect d’une plaine, depuis Ghéba jusqu’à Rimmôn, au midi de Jérusalem; celle-ci s’élèvera majestueuse sur son emplacement, depuis la porte de Benjamin jusqu’au quartier de la porte Première jusqu’à la porte des Angles et de la tour de Hananel jusqu’aux pressoirs du roi.

compassing all the earth, and the wilderness from Gabe to Remmon south of Jerusalem. And Rama shall remain in its place. From the gate of Benjamin to the place of the first gate, to the gate of the corners, and to the tower of Anameel, as far as the king's wine presses,

11 Elle retrouvera ses habitants et ne sera plus livrée à l’anathème; oui, Jérusalem vivra désormais en sécurité.

they shall dwell in the city; and there shall be no more any curse, and Jerusalem shall dwell securely.

12 Or, voici de quelle plaie l’Eternel frappera tous les peuples qui auront fait campagne contre Jérusalem: leur chair se décomposera, eux étant encore sur pied, leurs yeux s’useront dans leur orbite, et leur langue pourrira dans leur bouche.

And this shall be the overthrow with which the Lord will strike all the nations, as many as have fought against Jerusalem; their flesh shall consume away while they are standing upon their feet, and their eyes shall melt out of their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

13 En ce jour, régnera parmi eux une grande perturbation de par l’Eternel; l’un saisira la main de l’autre, et la main de celui-ci s’élèvera contre la main de l’autre.

And there shall be in that day a great panic from the Lord upon them; and they shall lay hold every man of the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall be clasped with the hand of his neighbour.

14 Juda lui-même se battra contre Jérusalem, et autour d’elle s’amoncellera la richesse de tous les peuples or, argent et vêtements en quantité immense.

Juda also shall fight in Jerusalem; and [God] shall gather the strength of all the nations round about, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

15 Une plaie atteindra chevaux, mulets, chameaux et ânes, tout le bétail qui se trouvera dans ces camps une plaie toute pareille à celle-là.

And this shall be the overthrow of the horses, and mules, and camels, and asses, and all the beasts that are in those camps, according to this overthrow.

16 Et quiconque aura survécu, parmi tous les peuples qui seront venus contre Jérusalem, devra s’y rendre chaque année pour se prosterner devant le Roi, l’Eternel-Cebaot, et pour célébrer la fête des Tentes.

And it shall come to pass, [that] whoever shall be left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem, shall even come up every year to worship the king, the Lord Almighty, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

17 Et celle des familles de la terre qui n’irait pas à Jérusalem pour se prosterner devant le Roi, l’Eternel-Cebaot, celle-là ne sera pas favorisée par la pluie.

And it shall come to pass, [that] whoever of all the families of the earth shall not come up to Jerusalem to worship the king, the Lord Almighty, even these shall be added to the others.

18 Que si la famille d’Egypte n’y monte pas pour faire ce pèlerinage, elle non plus ne sera pas indemne; mais elle subira le fléau dont l’Eternel frappera les autres peuples, pour n’avoir pas fait le pèlerinage de la fête des Tentes.

And if the family of Egypt shall not go up, nor come; then upon them shall be the overthrow with which the Lord shall strike all the nations, whichever of them shall not come up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

19 Tel sera le châtiment de l’Egypte et le châtiment de toutes les nations qui ne feraient pas le pèlerinage de la fête des Tentes.

This shall be the sin of Egypt, and the sin of all the nations, whoever shall not come up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

20 En ce jour, les grelots mêmes des chevaux porteront les mots: "Consacré au Seigneur!" Et les simples vases, dans la maison de l’Eternel, seront comme les bassins devant l’autel.

In that day there shall be upon the bridle of every horse Holiness to the Lord Almighty; and the cauldrons in the house of the Lord shall be as bowls before the altar.

21 Et tous les vases, dans Jérusalem et dans Juda seront consacrés à l’Eternel-Cebaot, et tous ceux qui feront des sacrifices viendront en chercher pour y faire la cuisson. A cette époque on ne verra plus de trafiquant dans la maison de l’Eternel-Cebaot.

And every pot in Jerusalem and in Juda shall be holy to the Lord Almighty: and all that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and shall seethe [meat] in them: and in that day there shall be no more the Chananite in the house of the Lord Almighty.
