Psaumes 28
1 De David. C’Est vers toi que je crie, ô Seigneur! Mon Rocher, ne m’oppose pas ton silence, car si tu gardais le silence à mon égard, je serais pareil à ceux qui descendent au tombeau.
Yahweh, I call out to you; [you are like an overhanging] rock [under which I can hide]. Do not refuse to answer me, because if you are silent, I will soon be with those who are in their graves.
2 Ecoute ma voix suppliante quand je t’invoque, quand j’élève les mains vers ton auguste sanctuaire.
Listen to me when I call out for you [to help me], when I pray, lifting up my hands as I face your sacred temple.
3 Ne me confonds pas avec les méchants, avec les artisans d’iniquité, qui parlent paix à leurs proches, et n’ont que méchanceté au cœur.
Do not drag me away with wicked people, with those who do wicked deeds, with those who pretend [to act] peacefully toward others while in their inner beings, they hate them.
4 Donne-leur le prix de leur conduite, de leurs actes pervers, traite-les selon l’œuvre de leurs mains; paie-leur le salaire qu’ils méritent.
Punish those people in the way that they deserve for what they have done; punish them for their evil deeds [DOU].
5 Car ils ne prêtent aucune attention aux actes de l’Eternel, ni à l’œuvre de ses mains: qu’il les renverse pour ne plus les relever!
Yahweh, they do not pay attention to the [wonderful] things that you have done and that you have created; so get rid of them permanently and do not let them appear again!
6 Béni soit le Seigneur, car il a entendu ma voix suppliante!
Praise Yahweh because he has heard me when I called out for him to help me!
7 L’Eternel est ma force, mon bouclier; en lui mon cœur s’est confié et j’ai été secouru. Aussi mon cœur est-il en joie. Par mon cantique, je vais lui rendre grâce.
Yahweh makes me strong and [protects] me [like a shield] [MET]; I trusted in him, and he helped me. I was glad, and from my inner being I praised him as I sang to him.
8 L’Eternel est une force pour son peuple, un rempart protecteur pour son oint.
Yahweh causes us to be strong and protects us; and he saves me, the one he appointed [MTY] to be king.
9 Prête assistance à ton peuple et bénis ton héritage: conduis-les comme un berger et soutiens-les jusque dans l’éternité.
Yahweh, save/rescue your people; bless those who belong to you. [Take care of them like] a shepherd [takes care of his sheep] [MET]; take care of them forever.
