Psaumes 122

1 Cantique des degrés. De David. Je suis dans la joie quand on me dit: "Nous irons dans la maison de l’Eternel."

I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of Jehovah.

2 Nos pieds s’arrêtent dans tes portiques, ô Jérusalem,

Our feet are standing inside thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3 Jérusalem qui es bâtie comme une ville d’une harmonieuse unité!

Jerusalem, that is built as a city that is compact together,

4 Car c’est là que montent les tribus, les tribus de l’Eternel, selon la charte d’Israël, pour célébrer le nom du Seigneur.

where the tribes go up, even the tribes of Jehovah, for an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to the name of Jehovah.

5 Car c’est là que sont établis les sièges de la justice, les sièges pour la famille de David.

For there thrones are set for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 Présentez vos saluts de paix à Jérusalem: "Qu’ils soient heureux ceux qui t’aiment!"

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. They shall prosper who love thee.

7 Que la paix règne dans tes murs, la sécurité dans tes palais!

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

8 Pour mes frères et mes amis, je t’offre tous mes vœux de bonheur.

For my brothers and companions' sakes I will now say, Peace be within thee.

9 Pour l’amour de la maison de l’Eternel, notre Dieu, je te souhaite pleine prospérité.

For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.
