1 Or, le jour où Moïse eut achevé de dresser le tabernacle, de l’oindre et de le consacrer avec toutes ses pièces, ainsi que l’autel et tous ses ustensiles; lorsqu’il les eut ainsi oints et consacrés,

And it cometh to pass on the day of Moses' finishing setting up the tabernacle, that he anointeth it, and sanctifieth it, and all its vessels, and the altar, and all its vessels, and he anointeth them, and sanctifieth them,

2 les phylarques d’Israël, chefs de leurs familles paternelles, firent des offrandes; ce furent les chefs des tribus, les mêmes qui avaient présidé aux dénombrements.

and the princes of Israel (heads of the house of their fathers, they [are] princes of the tribes, they who are standing over those numbered) bring near,

3 Ils présentèrent pour offrande, devant l’Éternel, six voitures-litières et douze bêtes à cornes, une voiture par deux phylarques, un taureau par phylarque, et ils les amenèrent devant le tabernacle.

yea, they bring their offering before Jehovah, six waggons covered, and twelve oxen — a waggon for two of the princes, and an ox for one — and they bring them near before the tabernacle.

4 Et l’Éternel dit à Moïse ce qui suit:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

5 "Reçois ces présents de leur part, ils seront employés au service de la tente d’assignation: tu les remettras aux Lévites, à chacun selon sa tâche."

'Receive from them, and they have been to do the service of the tent of meeting, and thou hast given them unto the Levites, each according to his service.'

6 Moïse reçut les voitures et les bêtes à cornes, et les remit aux Lévites.

And Moses taketh the waggons and the oxen, and giveth them unto the Levites.

7 Il donna deux voitures et quatre taureaux aux enfants de Gerson, eu égard à leur tâche;

The two of the waggons and the four of the oxen he hath given to the sons of Gershon, according to their service,

8 et les quatre autres voitures et les huit autres taureaux, il les donna aux enfants de Merari, eu égard à leur tâche, dirigée par Ithamar, fils d’Aaron le pontife.

and the four of the waggons and the eight of the oxen he hath given to the sons of Merari, according to their service, by the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest;

9 Quant aux enfants de Kehath, il ne leur en donna point: chargés du service des objets sacrés, ils devaient les porter sur l’épaule.

and to the sons of Kohath he hath not given, for the service of the sanctuary [is] on them: on the shoulder they bear.

10 Les phylarques firent des offrandes inaugurales pour l’autel, le jour où il avait été oint, et ils amenèrent leurs offrandes devant l’autel.

And the princes bring near the dedication of the altar in the day of its being anointed; yea, the princes bring near their offering before the altar.

11 Mais l’Éternel dit à Moïse: "Qu’un jour un phylarque, un jour un autre phylarque présentent leur offrande pour l’inauguration de l’autel."

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'One prince a day — one prince a day — do they bring near their offering for the dedication of the altar.'

12 Celui qui présenta le premier jour son offrande, fut Nahchôn, fils d’Amminadab, de la tribu de Juda.

And he who is bringing near on the first day his offering is Nahshon son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.

13 Son offrande était: une écuelle d’argent, du poids de cent trente sicles; un bassin d’argent de soixante-dix sicles, au poids du sanctuaire, tous deux remplis de fleur de farine pétrie à l’huile, pour une oblation;

And his offering [is] one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present;

14 une coupe de dix sicles, en or, pleine de parfum;

one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume;

15 un jeune taureau, un bélier, un agneau d’un an, pour holocauste;

one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering;

16 un jeune bouc, pour expiatoire;

one kid of the goats for a sin-offering;

17 puis, pour le sacrifice de rémunération, deux taureaux, cinq béliers, cinq boucs, cinq agneaux d’un an. Telle fut l’offrande de Nahchôn, fils d’Amminadab.

and for a sacrifice of the peace-offerings two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs, sons of a year; this [is] the offering of Nahshon son of Amminadab.

18 Le second jour, l’offrant fut Nethanel, fils de Çouar, phylarque d’Issachar,

On the second day hath Nethaneel son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, brought near.

19 lequel présenta pour offrande: une écuelle d’argent, du poids de cent trente sicles; un bassin d’argent de soixante-dix sicles, au poids du sanctuaire, tous deux remplis de fleur de farine pétrie à l’huile, pour une oblation;

He hath brought near his offering, one silver dish, its weight a hundred and thirty [shekels]; one silver bowl of seventy shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of flour mixed with oil, for a present;

20 une coupe de dix sicles, en or, pleine de parfum;

one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of perfume;

21 un jeune taureau, un bélier, un agneau d’un an, pour holocauste;

one bullock, a son of the herd, one ram, one lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering;

24 Le troisième jour, ce fut le phylarque des enfants de Zabulon, Elïab, fils de Hêlôn.

On the third day, the prince of the sons of Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon; —

On the sixth day, the prince of the sons of Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel; —

On the twelfth day, the prince of the sons of Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan; —

84 Ce fut là le présent dédicatoire de l’autel, offert, lors de son onction, par les phylarques d’Israël: douze écuelles d’argent, douze bassins d’argent, douze coupes d’or.

This [is] the dedication of the altar, in the day of its being anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve silver dishes, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden spoons;

85 Chaque écuelle d’argent, cent trente sicles, et chaque bassin, soixante-dix: poids total de l’argent des vases, deux mille quatre cents sicles, au poids du sanctuaire.

a hundred and thirty [shekels] each silver dish, and each bowl seventy; all the silver of the vessels [is] two thousand and four hundred [shekels], by the shekel of the sanctuary.

86 Douze coupes d’or, pleines de parfum, chaque coupe dix sicles, au poids du sanctuaire: total de l’or des coupes, cent vingt sicles.

Golden spoons [are] twelve, full of perfume; ten [shekels] each spoon, by the shekel of the sanctuary; all the gold of the spoons [is] a hundred and twenty [shekels];

87 Somme du gros bétail pour holocauste: douze taureaux; de plus, douze béliers, douze agneaux d’un an, outre leur oblation, et douze jeunes boucs pour expiatoire.

all the oxen for burnt-offering [are] twelve bullocks, rams twelve, lambs, sons of a year twelve, and their present; and kids of the goats twelve, for sin-offering;

88 Somme du gros bétail pour le sacrifice rémunératoire: vingt-quatre taureaux; de plus, soixante béliers, soixante boucs, soixante agneaux âgés d’un an. Ainsi fut inauguré l’autel, après avoir été oint.

and all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace-offerings [are] twenty and four bullocks, rams sixty, he-goats sixty, lambs, sons of a year, sixty; this is the dedication of the altar, in the day of its being anointed.

89 Or, quand Moïse entrait dans la tente d’assignation pour que Dieu lui parlât, il entendait la voix s’adresser à lui de dessus le propitiatoire qui couvrait l’arche du statut, entre les deux chérubins, et c’est à elle qu’il parlait.

And in the going in of Moses unto the tent of meeting to speak with Him — he doth even hear the voice speaking unto him from off the mercy-seat which [is] upon the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubs; and He speaketh unto him.
