Michée 3
1 Je dis encore: "Ecoutez donc, chefs de Jacob et vous, seigneurs de la maison d’Israël! N’Est-ce pas à vous à reconnaître le droit?
Then said I, Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and ye judges of the house of Israel, —Is it not yours to know justice?
2 Mais ils haïssent le bien, ils aiment le mal, ils enlèvent aux gens la peau et la chair de dessus leurs os.
Ye haters of right, and lovers of wrong, —tearing away their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
3 Ils se nourrissent de la substance de mon peuple, le dépouillent de sa peau, lui brisent les os, le mettent en pièces comme pour la marmite, comme la viande qu’on cuit dans une chaudière.
Who indeed have eaten the flesh of my people, and, their skin from off them, have stript, and, their bones, have they broken in pieces, —and will spread them out, as flesh with a fork, and as flesh, in the midst of a pot.
4 Ensuite ils crieront vers l’Eternel, mais il ne les écoutera point; il détournera la face d’eux à ce moment, à cause des méfaits qu’ils ont commis."
Then, shall they make outcry unto Yahweh, but he will not answer them, —that he may hide his face from them, at that time, even as they have made wicked their doings.
5 Ainsi parle l’Eternel contre les prophètes qui égarent mon peuple, qui proclament la paix quand ils ont de quoi se mettre sous la dent, mais appellent la guerre contre quiconque n’emplit pas leur bouche:
Thus, saith Yahweh, concerning the prophets who are leading astray my people, —who bite with their teeth, and then cry—Prosper! and whoso holdeth not to their mouth, they hallow against him a war!
6 Eh bien! ce sera pour vous la nuit sans vision, les ténèbres sans oracles; le soleil se couchera pour les prophètes, pour eux le jour sera plongé dans l’obscurité.
Therefore, shall it be night to you, for lack of vision, and darkness to you, for lack of divination, —and the sun, shall go in, over the prophets, and the day, shall be overcast because of them;
7 Alors les voyants seront confus, les diseurs d’oracles couverts de honte; ils s’envelopperont tous la barbe, car aucune réponse ne leur viendra de Dieu.
And the men of vision, shall turn pale, and the diviners, shall blush, and shall put a covering upon their lip, all of them, —because there is no answer of God.
8 Mais, en revanche, je me sens, moi, plein de force, due à l’inspiration de l’Eternel, de justice et de courage, pour exposer à Jacob son infidélité et à Israël son péché.
But, in very deed, I, am full of vigour, with the spirit of Yahweh, and of justice and of valour, —to declare to Jacob, his transgression, and to Israel, his sin.
9 Ecoutez donc ceci, chefs de la maison de Jacob et seigneurs de la maison d’Israël, qui détestez la justice et pervertissez tout ce qui est droit!
Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and ye judges of the house of Israel, —who abhor justice, and, all right, do pervert:
10 Ils bâtissent Sion au moyen de meurtres et Jérusalem au moyen d’iniquités.
Building Zion, with deeds of blood, —and Jerusalem, with perversity.
11 Ses chefs rendent la justice pour des présents, ses prêtres donnent leur enseignement pour un salaire, ses prophètes prononcent des oracles à prix d’argent, et ils osent s’appuyer sur l’Eternel et dire: "Certes l’Eternel est au milieu de nous, aucun mal ne nous atteindra!"
Her heads, for a bribe, pronounce sentence, and, her priests, for a price, give direction, and, her prophets, for silver, divine, —yet, on Yahweh, they lean, saying, Is not, Yahweh, in our midst? there shall not come upon us, calamity.
12 Eh bien! à cause de vous Sion sera labourée comme un champ, Jérusalem deviendra un monceau de ruines, et la montagne du temple une hauteur boisée.
Wherefore, for your sake, Zion, as a field, shall be ploughed, and, Jerusalem, unto heaps of ruins, shall be turned, —and, the mountain of the house, shall [be] like mounds in a jungle.
